When last I left Married at First Sight, all three couples seemed to be fairly please with their arranged spouses. The some of the families on the other hand were a bit concerned.
Cody and Danielle
Cody and Danielle are cute. They seem to get along fine. Neither one of them is showing much of their personality yet. There doesn’t seem to be a problematic friend or family member. Charlie’s brother met someone at the wedding who was one of Danielle’s bridesmaids.
The spiritual adviser warns them about self-sabotage, because they may feel it is too good to be real.
Danielle and Cody head to St. Thomas for their honeymoon, where they have a gorgeous ocean front suite. While everything seems fine with them, next week Cody tells Danielle that the thinks he has been forcing things and he wants to back the relationship up some.
Ashley and Anthony
Anthony’s story about the dream he had with the flashlight shining on the letter A is going to be nearly as frequently mentioned as the fact that these are TWO STRANGERS who just got married. It is cute that Anthony got Ashley a necklace with a tiny flashlight and the letter A before he even knew her name. Where exactly does one purchase a flashlight charm?
Ashley has a sister who she spends a lot of time with. That sister is already concerned about not spending a much time with Ashley. Later, the spiritual adviser tells them not to share any marital problems with their family. He explains why. Ashley says she shares everything with her sister.
These two are headed to the Bahamas for their honeymoon. Anthony wants to do a lot of stuff. Ashley wants to relax. They already seem to be having points of disagreement about her sister and she is not even there. Though I would not be surprised if she showed up.
Shelia and Nate
Shelia seems exhausted and a little nervous after the wedding. In their honeymoon suite they eat chocolate covered strawberries and talk about the wedding ceremony. And Nate’s mother. I totally forgot that Nate still has to tell Shelia about his brother living with them.
At their family brunch, Nate’s mother has a crying meltdown. She literally asks her son if she is “still queen.” I thought Nate handled things very well.
The couple headed off to St. Croix for their honeymoon. They have a gorgeous villa. They find a lot of things that they have in common. Nate is itching to consummate the marriage. In the previews for next week, something goes horribly wrong because Shelia starts sobbing during their romantic dinner on their balcony. She says he doesn’t hear her and she doesn’t want to do this anymore and she doesn’t want to do anything with him.
