I’ve had some pretty decent sources for RHONY filming this time and despite rumors that the producers were not happy I think we will be. The producers wanted more episodes than they ended up with. I think sometimes less is more. I’m for fewer housewives and fewer episodes. These 20 plus week seasons start to run out of steam about halfway through. Besides, NYC was pretty devastated by the presidential election and the aftermath thereof and the cast was low key this season. Or more cranky depending on the personality.
Also, it looks like the ladies were able to come up with dresses…[Blind Item Reveal]
The taglines are out for the new season, and I’ve ranked them from worst to best. Please be sure to leave your opinions in comments.
Ramona Singer: I’m an acquired taste. You don’t like me? Acquire some taste.
Ridiculous. Also her execution of the tagline on the opening was bad. Tasteful is not a word that comes to anyone’s mind when they think of Ramona.
Luann D’agostino: The only title I’d trade Countess for is wife.
Meh. She’s already said this a lot. Was expecting more.
Dorinda Medley: I tell it like it is, but I always make it nice.
Fine. It’s Dorinda. Could have been better.
Bethenny Frankel: If you’re gonna take a shot at this B, you better not miss.
Perfect. Pretty much sums up Bethenny’s vindictive nature which is in full play once again this season.
Carole Radziwill: In the politics of friendship, I win the popular vote.
Perfect. It captures Carole’s desire to be part of the in crowd, and alludes to her crying all season because Hillary lost.
Sonja Morgan: There’s nothing Grey about my Gardens.
Hilarious. The self-depreciating humor is very Sonja. Makes reference to Tinsley’s time served in the leaky, cold townhouse where she had to live for god knows how long in Sonja’s daughter’s bedroom full of stuffed animals she wasn’t allowed to move out of her way.
Tinsley Mortimer: A good set of lashes can fix anything, even a mugshot.
Hilarious. Addresses the haters before the season begins. Makes her seem like she doesn’t take herself too seriously. Sadly, it’s probably the best thing we get out of Tinsley all season if what I am hearing is accurate.
