I’m pretty much an expert on social media meltdowns in the wee hours of the morning. I am not as good with figuring out the whole time zone thing on Instagram. It was 1 am Real People Time when Abby went off the deep end on Instagram last night, but it seems that she had just finished filming a competition somewhere so maybe it was just 10pm where she was. I do recognize the signs of a meltdown when I see one and they are all there. I’m sure Abby is still self medicating because it is all over but the sentencing for her, and the sentencing had been postponed multiple times. I’d be drinking like a fish too.
So apparently production wanted her to enter a different group routine at the competition and Abby wanted to revive that horrid “Where have all the children gone?” routine. It’s creepy. That is probably why production vetoed it. But it seems like she went right on with it anyway. As long as she was drunk quitting her job, she could have mentioned how the girls ranked, but she didn’t.

I’m not too worried about this, we have seen Abby quit multiple times on camera. She can’t quit us.
I just took Dance Moms out of my handy dandy show link list above today. I know most of you don’t care about it, but I am anxiously awaiting the next season and am glad that if she actually goes to the clink, then we will have one more season to look forward to. I don’t know if I mentioned this before but I read that Maddie’s book that was recently published doesn’t mention Abby at all. I immediately lost all interest at that point.
Anyway, gotta dash back to #DWTS to see Erika Jayne. This has been breaking news from Tamara Tattles. We shall see if she takes the post down because I believe it will stop showing up.
Oh and Abby, during a late night drunk is never the critical time to post anything. Do as I say, not as I do.
I do not understand why any parent would allow that creepy woman access to their child.
It’s time for her to move on. My sister use to love that show. But Abby really played favoritism with Maddie after the SIA stardom.
However, she is a business woman who is probably trying to bluff the network.
How in the hell can Maddie write an autobiography without mentioning Abby!?
She mentions Abby. She mentions her a lot–in very very unflattering descriptions. She just doesn’t refer to her by name.
I should probably edit that to say she mentions the dance classes and the teacher but it’s plain who she’s talking about.
OH! That is very interesting. Thanks!
I think Abby is a very talented teacher. I wish production would STOP the momma drama and let us watch Abby teach and the girls dance. I fast forward though all that crap anyway and just watch the dancing. I hope Abby stays on Dance Moms and does not go to jail.
Aww man. I live my lost childhood and my unfulfilled dreams of being a dancer by watching this show. Seriously.
I don’t get it is the creative credit a pay thing or a pat on the back thing. Cause I believe that most people don’t attribute production to the dance routines. We all know without anything in writing who credit goes to for that. I really had a feeling early on with Maddie that as soon as her star power took off that she would leave Abby in the dust. Melissa was always very manipulative. But in the end Abby guided Maddie clearly and did a great job of it but some kids just have that it factor. Abby cannot take credit for that. If so all the girls she trained from little ones would be as good as Maddie. She does do good work with the kids but everyone is not going to be a star and I the ones that are I don’t think have as much to do with the teachers as it does a natural talent.
I have been watching Dance Moms since day one. I have a terrible memory and have missed watching the show since it finished so I have been binge watching Dance Moms from the first season (I’m half way through season 2 so I’ve got a long way to go). It’s very interesting to see it all play out knowing what is to come. So much happened that I totally forgot about. Abbey was much more likeable in the beginning and showed the girls a lot of love. Abbey has taken a lot of shit over the years from the moms, and her attitude and crazy behaviour are warranted if you ask me. I will be sad if I don’t get to see those amazing girls dance anymore.
Get my swan costume ready, again.
Just when you thought you wouldn’t need it anymore. It’s like a winter coat. As soon as you store it, a cold snap begins.
TD you often come up with great one-liners or very appropriate references like this one. I envy your ability to do this. I also appreciate it.
Not kidding ass TT, just wanted to send acknowledgement.
A kidding ass! C’ est moi! It’s a man’s world, just put on your red shoes and dance the blues. After all it is Abby,’s road. Thanks for the nod.
Hey Tamara, I read today that Cheryl Burke is replacing Abbey on Dance Moms. I also heard that Chloe is back and Brynn is out because her mum didn’t like the too sexy dance numbers they were given. What are your thoughts on this?
It always shocks me that there are people who watch the show that think these competitions are legit (they are not), and that Abby is a good person and a good teacher. She doesn’t produce amazing dancers, in the grand scheme of things a lot of her dancers are mediocre compared to Brynn, Kalani, Elliana and Lily who all are from different studios where they have really good teachers.
Abby deserves to lose her job, she went days on end without showing up to her job because she didn’t want to go and eventually people got tired of waiting around for her so she was fired. I’m really looking forward to the new teacher who actually has talent.
