I recently posted that local Atlanta news station, WSB had uncovered information on Todd Chrisley’s failure to pay state taxes in Georgia from 2004 to 2011. According to their sources, Todd Chrisley filed federal income tax claiming to be a resident of Florida during those years. There is no state income tax in Florida. However, Todd Chrisley was involved in several court proceedings during this time period where he claimed to be a resident of Georgia. As a result of the news investigation, the state of Georgia is now investigating to determine is legal residency during those years.
Todd responded to the charges on a recent podcast. I covered his response here. In true Todd fashion he claimed, esteemed reporter, Jodie Fleischer has a bad dye job and makes $35,000 per year and is trying to make a name for herself off of the success of his show. Check out the link. He’s a total asshole lying out of his lie hole.
Today, Kyle Chrisley spoke to Jodie Fleischer about his recent testimony to state officials regarding his families residency.
“He’s always been that way. He stretches the truth,” Kyle said of his estranged father.
“Were you ever a Florida resident?” Fleischer asked Kyle.
“No,” he said. “We really went there for vacations in the summer and that was really the only time we ever went. We lived here in Georgia.”
Chrisley’s wife, Julie, stated on August 2013 video-taped deposition, under oath, neither she nor her husband lived in Florida.
“I think he’s trying to hide money,” Kyle said. “He doesn’t like to pay what he owes. “I think it is my dad’s reality. He believes that he has millions of dollars.”
The WSB report indicates that Kyle believes his father went to a great deal of trouble to hide from the tax man. Kyle claims Todd drove Kyle and his sister, Savannah, to Florida to get their learner’s permits.
“Why would he not just pay his fair share of Georgia taxes if he had all that money?” Fleischer asked Kyle.
“When you grow up not having money, and then when you finally get some, I don’t think you want to give it to anyone,” Kyle responded. “I’d like to see him held accountable.”
Oh and the IRS? He owes them some money too.
