Fan favorite of Million Dollar Listing New York has left for Paris today. And it’s a one way ticket. He’s moving to the City of Light, a place he has never even visited to start a new chapter of his life. I love this for him. He needed a change. He was burning out in NYC. He was depressed. I think this is the best thing for him. But I will miss him. I hope he keeps us updated on social media.
He leaves behind his twin brother. The twins went on a trip to Cuba together a few weeks ago and all signs indicate it was a great bonding trip. He’s leaving his brother most of his clothes and possession and if wanting to start with a clean slate in Paris. It’s exciting, romantic, and totally Luis.
Below check out some comments by Luis on Instagram and a couple of photos…
“You may think I have just lost it and that’s ok. But perhaps, like Fredrik says, I may have just found it. On March 1st, I am moving to Paris! A city I have never been to before. People can’t believe that a guy who has traveled so much has never been to Paris . And, in a poetic way, it’s kind of great that I have never been because I will be seeing Paris for the very first time when I plan to stay, just like I did in New York.”
“New York has been amazing to me. I have learned so much; about business, life and most importantly about myself. But at this point, I feel that I am trying to get more juice out of an already squeezed fruit. Some will say, have you really gotten everything out of New York, referring to wether I have made enough money in order to say such a thing. Well, I have never been driven by money so my argument, which I don’t need to make, is that yes, for now, New York has run it’s course for me.”
“For the past couple of days all I can listen to is French music. All I can drink is French wine and all i can see are French films. Remember when I posted that I was in love with a dream that I haven’t live yet? Well that’s it. I am in love with a place I haven’t been to. I am in love with people I haven’t met and I am in love with a fantasy I haven’t lived yet! My business manager, who I love, tells me if I would risk what I have worked so hard for to start all over. I said that it is all a matter of perspective. Perhaps, I worked this hard to earn the ability to keep on moving forward. That’s what I mean when I say I’m a Happyholic! Its beautiful! I am the happiest man alive and the countdown begins tonight!”
“I can’t believe a month ago I decided to move to Paris and [today] it will actually happen. Always trust your gut! Don’t ignore it, or worst, convince it that is wrong. In 30 years, I can’t tell you a time when it has been. It has always been right! And you know yours has been too. Let’s go!”
As usual, Luis has a message for us all in his goodbye video… I hope he finds everything he has dreamed of.
