Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Backed Into A Corner

Me preparing for tonight’s episode…

Before we get started tonight, we need to talk about Eden. I’ve been following her Instagram and she’s kind of batshit. I can’t quite put my finger on it. It’s someone similar to my drunk tweets, but she’s sober. She says weird things and there is always, #EdensLoveStory among the myriad hashtags.  Even when the post seems very somber. I don’t know how to explain it, so I’m going to need you all to click here and go tell me what you think. My concentration has been a bit off, maybe it’s my reading comprehension. She just seems sort of judgey or something.

There was a lot of publicity happening today for the rest of this season. The ever classy LVP told People today that when Rinna arrived in Mexico she was about as welcome as a “poo in the pool.” So gross!  So here comes my girl Rinna, whose mouth has gotten her into trouble again, walking into a pit of angry vipers.

Maurico on the other hand, warmly welcomes Rinna and Eileen. It’s Maurico’s big night and he has swag bags of merch for everyone. The ladies are getting into all of the finery and the stage is being set for a fabulous cage match.  I expect the first match-up to be Kyle and Rinna.

After a cute Mexican tram takes everyone to the party location, Mauricio makes a speech about his business to his agents and guests and LVP is doing shout-outs about the margaritas. Cut to Dorit who looks, odd. Time to cue the mariachi band so that Maurico can do a Mexican hat dance on top of the bar. I love this party! How can you stay mad with a mariachi band and a Mexican hat dance, y’all?

Rinna, Eileen and Erika have a chat. Eileen says she had a vitamin drip date with Eden who was trash talking Kyle for  being mean to her. Erika brings up that they need to sort things out with Kyle and says she is not going to fill them in on what was said, but they need to have a conversation with Kyle. Kyle tells Rinna she heard that she is saying Kim is not completely sober, she’s near death, and that Kyle enables her. Rinna has selective amnesia.  Ha! LVP just said the same thing. Rinna is in full denial mode.  Oh, Rinna. This is so bad. You need to own it, and stop telling Eden to own it.  I just remembered that Eden is not even there. Now Rinna is moving into “if I said it…”  LVP is riding Rinna hard. Rinna deserves it.  Kyle gives Rinna the benefit of the doubt. Erika is the first to disengage from the conversation and head to the bar. Rinna was literally backed into a corner for all of this.

The Mexican food must be delicious, LVP, Kyle and Eileen cannot slow down on the chow. I have not seen this crew eat this much in all of their many seasons combined.  Eileen of course believes Rinna and thinks that LVP is being way too hard on her.  For once, Rinna deserves it.

Rinna is outside alone crying saying she wants to go home. Dorit goes out to see is Rinna is in fact the one close to death. Rinna just wants to go be with her family.  Eileen comes to rescue Rinna from Dorit, who is a member of the enemy camp.  Rinna has a complete breakdown in Eileen’s arms, while Dorit just stands there looking on, expressionless. Then Rinna goes back to denial mode. Rinna says that Eden has stabbed her in the back. Rinna said her life is too good for all this bullshit. Eileen is in a white dress and has Montezuma’s revenge.  She and Rinna go to their rooms at the casa. Erika goes after them to make sure things are okay and decides to back with Rinna.

LVP goes to work on Kyle right away to rile her up against Rinna.

Erika sits with Rinna and tells her that she needs fess up to Kyle if she the things she is being accused of. Rinna is still resisting. Erika continues to press her to come clean.

When LVP, Dorit and Kyle and their spouses return in the van back to the house. LVP suggests a night of wife-swapping and begins talking about her “knickers.”  Tis the season of #Pantygate after all.  The next morning LVP seems to still be a bit under the influence as she seems to be trying to do a shampoo commercial in Spanish while flirting with the help.

Rinna calls Harry Hamlin. He says all the right things to make Rinna feel better. As a good husband should.

Back in LA, Eden and her mother have a scene where they drink a CALM drink. I have a container of that I pick up and contemplate drinking from time to time. I’ve yet to try it. It’s an anti stress thing that balances your magnesium levels. Anyway, her mom says all the right things to make her feel better. As a good mom should. Eden and her mom hug for a very, very, long time. Her mom finally pries herself away.

Dorit calls home to check on the kids. Jagger keeps asking for Mama. The nanny assures Dorit everything is fine. Dorit cries.

LVP and Ken leave early due to a prior commitment. Everyone else heads out sail on a huge catamaran. There is mucho drinking.  Rinna and Eileen talk about how thrilled LVP is that Rinna is going down. And this is true. But, my darling Rinna, you did this to yourself.  You handed yourself to LVP on a silver platter! This is going to be tough to recover from.

I haven’t really mentioned how pervy PK has come off this episode because it skeeves me out. He knows where everyone is a at all time and seems to want to gossip about whoever is not there. At the moment he announces to Erika and PK that Rinna and Eileen tend to isolate them from the group. Maybe it is because PK wants a double kiss every time they re-enter whatever room he is in.  Erika says they have a close bond, she gets it. In her talking head, she asks the obvious question, ” Why does PK care if Eileen and Rinna are chatting in another part of the boat?”

The women start jumping off the boat into the ocean. Probably to escape PK.  PK jumps after the women but Dorit is still on the boat. PK offers her a Birkin to jump.  She does. In her talking head Dorit flashes a Birkin. I think it’s more likely he bought her a merkin. Google it.

They all want some music. Rinna says if they play Painkillr then she will get on the table and dance to it. It’s great when a cast member makes music and allows it to be played otherwise they can’t film with music. #FunFact  Rinna dances enthusiastically basically following every move from the video. PK is in hog heaven. Erika is impressed. Kyle and Maurico were down with it as well. I can’t wait for Dorit to run and tell LVP about this.

Next Week: We get more Harry Hamlin! Rinna gets an award, I think for her work with the Angel charity that feeds the homeless. She does a lot with them. Kyle tells Kim what Rinna said. Rinna confronts Eden.

P.S. I could have gone my whole life without seeing P.K. as we saw him on the boat. (eye bleach needed)

Say what you want about Dorit. But she styles pretty well. The gold-plated hair look in an upcoming episode is outside the box. She has a quirky beauty about her. I actually like Dorit. Shame she fell for the obnoxious PK. But many women would for “free” Birkins. That’s the best I’ve seen Kyle dress at the Agency party.

What does she have to own? Rinna has proven over the last 3 seasons that she says things, then backtracks and denies, then lashes out again, then discusses things with Eileen who gets her riled back up again, they talk things out and decide who they think is wrong and run with that.

The more I see Erika, the more impressed I get. It’s a shame she was introduced as a Yolanda friend as I think I judged her a bit too harshly last season. The way she handled the Rinna situation was perfect.

Rinna on the table dancing skeeved me out. Sorry, wrong time..,wrong place. Wasn’t she the one judging Erika for being too sexual in her videos and there she is doing the same thing (in less clothing) on a boat in front of her friends and their husbands? Rinna could’ve danced on the table without writhing about like a stripper.

That was kind of the whole point. Rinna was imitating Erika’s choreography; they made a minor issue last season of Rinna describing Erika’s MV as “raunchy.” She never said that she thought Erika was being “too sexual in her videos.”

Quote directly from TT’s recap from season 6, episode 7

“Lisa Rinna says the video was “sexual in a way that I was just like, woah.” … Lisa Rinna basically compares the video to porn. She says she doesn’t mind watching it, if it’s porn – but she doesn’t actually meet the porn stars.”

Correct. I just rewatched the scene. It’s Rinna, Eileen, Kyle, Lisa V, and Ken having lunch at a winery. Rinna said she was taken aback by it (i.e. “like whoah”). She did not say she was being “too sexual” and she remarked repeatedly that she was looking forward to meeting her. LVP called her a prude, and she said, “Yeah, I am.” It was brought up during the reunion, and they both squashed it immediately. Again, that was the whole point of Rinna doing the table dance. It was a nod to the “controversy.” Not “writhing about like a stripper” would have entirely missed the point.

Sorry, I just found it tasteless. And really, squashed it at the reunion? Rinna also said she’d never discuss Kim Richards again – look how well that turned out! I don’t think Rinna would appreciate a cast mate in a bikini on a table w her legs spread in front of Harry Hamlin – or maybe she would, who knows?

I see from some of your other comments that you seem to really like Rinna. I like her and think she adds to the show – seriously, would anyone watch the Eileen show? We’d all fall asleep.

Rinna is unfiltered and speaks her mind, often without thinking of the repercussions. She also wants everyone to like her. These two traits work in opposition of one another and gets her into trouble.

Agree! What really counts in a quality person is their character and kindness. The people pearl clutching and hating on Erika for her “act”- calling her desperate and attention hungry. First, all your fan favs are on this show because of the attention- bottom line. How they, whether for show purposes or not, portray themselves on a maybe fake show -knowing said show is sold and hungrily bought as reality, means that they are fine with the perception of their character- edited on not- is fine as long as they are famous. They’ll forsake their marriages, their children’s well- being, their reputations to “bring the drama”.
Erika, like a lot of these personalities have an acting background however non significant. They justify their horrible behavior by claiming it’s all about the job.
Erika, has managed to stay above the fray and continues to be fascinating and mercurial- it factor- so she doesn’t need to lower herself to acting like petty sad grown women to draw viewers in.
The first season in Dubai when she decided not to admit what she’d said because she had no interest in igniting a drama filled night after her performance was her understandable to me, only inauthentic moment. The other women are so obvious in their efforts to act or create a moment. She’s a natural who always handles bad situations with character and class.
She’s a housewives game changer and it’s killing old lady vanderpump- boobs always pushed up to her chin, wig let wearing, self professed queen lacking any self awareness. It’s unsettling all of them. She’s gold!

If I understand correctly, Rinna’s conversation with Eden took place right after Game Night. I think Rinna was still hurting and spoke to Eden about she felt Eden saw what she saw in Kim.

That said, I literally gasped when Rinna said what she said. Whatever her intentions, she shouldn’t have been discussing Kim’s sobriety.

Rinna is always focused on being the most likable, unless she is on her high horse about Kim, her primary storyline. Then she says something offensive to someone, and either reverses herself as she did last year ( M word) , or denies she said it, if it is not the poplar thing to say or gets her in trouble.

Rinna has a real need to be liked and accepted which appears to control her most often, unless she is on a roll judging someone else. In this case, she hoped Eden would echo her messages and support her position on Kim, including carrying the message , which is why she said all that, trying to manipulate Eden. When that didn’t work, Eden is the bad person and she, Rinna, never ever said a word of it.

Such BS. And for her and Eileen to then bring up LVP’s reaction is classic-let’s change the subject and find fault with someone else, who has nothing to do with the mistakes I made and am lying about. Let’s go after someone we dislike, again, since it didn’t work last year. Petty nonsense .

I can’t remember the details of this situation ( a few seasons ago ) but I distinctly remember Rinna and Kim sitting across the aisle from each other on a plane ( invited by LVP and Ken I think ). Kim kept looking over at Rinna spurting out obscenities at her ( one of which was the “c” word. ) I Don’t know what editing went down, but Rinna had no recourse but to just “take it”. It was on that trip that Ken realized Kim was not right in the head. Anyone feel free to correct me. Could Rinna still be harboring internal resentment from way back then?

Rinna has been the victim of Kim’s addiction on numerous times. For me, the van ride where it was just the two of them and the driver stands out as the most frightening. I do remember the plane ride but not in context of that time.

Sorry, but Eileen has the personality of a houseplant; she needs a storyline. Rinna needs to have constant attention on her at all times. A little much with that dance. I saw the first five minutes and the last five minutes, so I hope to see the episode again after WWHL, which is currently on with Erika — she was asked about what she thinks about what Rinna saying she couldn’t remember what she said about Kim etc. and Erika said keep watching and you will see that eventually Rinna does “own it.” I really don’t see how someone could “not remember” saying such statements about someone else the way Rinna did – she was just laying it all out on the line to Eden such personal info about Kim and Kyle plus her own opinions that were not based on fact, so to me it came out as if she was sure about what she was saying and was basically standing behind it, the way she said “I will say that,” I think about her opinion that Kyle is an enabler. Anyway, the whole thing is disgusting but I am glad that she is finally getting called out for her double-talk. She has done this for three seasons, gone after people who are usually having hard times, i.e., Kim, Brandi, Yolanda, LVP, then Kim again – and Kyle – first of all, it’s not cool to kick ppl when they are down, secondly, she gossips about them out of one corner of her mouth or out of one of her faces then pretends to be nice with the other part – until late in season, when she “comes clean” to whoever because she knows it will come up at the reunion – i.e. last year she told Yolanda at Kyle’s Palm Springs house party that she said she was “more manipulative than Vanderpump,” etc. etc. She needed to be called out, and shown for the two-faced, judgmental B.S.er she is. And her stance on “tough love” is such a turn-off to being humane, the way she looks down on addicts is disgusting – that’s what she bases Kyle being an “enabler” for Kim on, that Kyle is supportive of Kim just with her being her sister and showing her love. Hello that does not mean you are an enabler if you show a sibling love no matter what they may or may not be doing. That simply just means you love them. Rinna actually has acted hateful about this in the past at reunions a few years ago and in past seasons, practically spitting out venomous words to Kyle/Kim like “That is what you do with addicts Kyle, you walk away from them,” etc. and CRAP like that…you can tell that Rinna is reliving the whole scenario with HER sister – who also died of an overdose – when she is around Kyle and Kim – what Rinna and Eden need to do is just bond over that connection. Eden makes so much about being a “sober woman,” just focus on being a decent human being, ya know? And instead of them fighting they should just get along. I think when Eden is yelling at another hw later in the season it’s prob Rinna and that is such a waste of energy…and seems hypocritical coming from her…the crazy is back in Bev Hills…

Didn’t the conflict between Rinna and Kim start in Amsterdam when Kim made insinuations about Rinna’s husband? Didn’t Kim attack her sister after Kyle’s own children were bitten by Kim’s vicious dog? When Kim met Brandi the first time she laughed at her, said she didn’t want to be on a team with her, told her she was white trash, a slut pig, and then hid her crutches. Kim instigated the most recent fight at Kyle’s game night. She seems to have a history of being mean and nasty and then pulling the mousey victim routine whenever she gets blowback.

As for the Kyle enabling thing, Eden also said that she believed Kyle was an enabler. And I don’t think that Rinna is basing her opinions on Kyle’s enabling because “Kyle is supportive of Kim just with her being her sister and showing her love.” I think she believes (rightly or wrongly) that Kyle makes excuses for Kim’s behavior and basically tries to act like her parent, which is certainly a form of enabling. Of course Kyle doesn’t believe she is enabling Kim. Most enablers don’t believe it. That’s what co-dependency is all about. There are entire support groups (e.g. Al-Anon) for families of addicts because they enmeshed relationships make the tendency to enable so great.

Exactly. Here’s what I wish Rinna had said:

Yes, Kyle, I did say I thought Kim was not completely sober. It turns out that I was right.

Yes, Kyle, I did say something about Kim being “this close to death” because with addicts, that’s what happens all the time. (They wanted me to go to rehab, but I said No No No)

Yes, Kyle, it is my opinion that you are an enabler, because of what I’ve observed between the two of you.

If Rinna had said all of the above she wouldn’t be in the current mess she’s in. She might be despised, but she’d be laying her cards on the table.

And she could have added, “Our conversation was not malicious. Perhaps Eden and I are both too invested in Kim because we both lost our sisters to addiction.”

And I don’t think she would be despised – except by people who already despise her.

Kim has repeated the same cycle since RHBH began: strange behavior; confrontation about strange behavior; vicious reaction; demands that no one speak of her problem; a horrible situation unfolds while the season airs; then she or Kyle appears on the reunion and says Kim is doing great and she does not want to dwell on the past (translation: admit and apologize for her vicious behavior.)

Kyle was definitely enabling in seasons past. 100%. Covering up, denying, giving her sister money, cleaning up her messes, etc. I think she has since learned these behaviors actually hurt Kim and I do think she has stopped, but Lisa’s impression may not have changed. Lisa was right last season or the one prior, people were letting Kim get away with murder and Kyle was one of them.

That being said, when Kyle asks you, as a friend, to stop discussing her sister and you agree, you’re kinda bound by that. Much as I like and agree with much of what Rinna says re: Kim, she needs to stop.

So true, Navymommy. Kim has no place in this show unless she is willing to give and take- which she is unwilling to do. And has finally been detoxed from all her addictions, psycho drugs, alcohol, things she smokes/imbibes/inhales/etc.

And Kyle remains an enabler-from working to keep Kim on the show to failing to fix the problems KIm allows to have ramifications involving her- without comment.
For example, Kim’s only major scene this season has led to a lawsuit- after she allegedly treated someone horribly, at Kyle’s house.

The suit alleges that Kim brought Kingsley, who she has been ordered by the court to remove from her presence, multiple times, to Kyle’s house as she was being prepped for that one scene. Kingsley is said to have attacked the makeup woman prepping Kim at Kyle’s, taking a huge gouge out of her abdomen, leading to a great deal of pain and blood.
The suit, against Kim, Kyle and Kim’s attorney says Kim refused to take the victim to a hospital until her attorney had drafted and the victim had signed, a document where the victim lied, and agreed to a made up a story about some stray biting her, so Kim would not be in trouble for having Kingsley there.
Supposedly Kim and the attorney would not call an ambulance and the attorney eventually took her to an ER, where the attorney controlled the admission process, and lied about all the circumstances involved.

This is a textbook case of Kim in action- it is always, only about her, on her terms,
and as we saw with Kyle’s daughters’ injury, nothing and no one dare blame Kim when she is clearly responsible for the entire situation. She denies it, is on attack ode, and threatens- in this case DNIES this woman medical care.

She is not just a addict- Ki is a narcissist of the truest sort, with clear psychological problems of a severe nature. She refuses treatment, addiction rehab, or psychological care, ad is a real threat to those around her physically,.

She demands that all around her indulge her every whim, down to keeping in her presence a dog who has injured friends and relatives. But Kim will hear no reason, and disobeys court orders. If this is what happens in her one scene on the show this season, just imagine if she was in more than one.

Kyle and their family are clearly enabling her to keep the peace, if that is what you call this- this MUST end. I sincerely hope the courts finally take real action with this law suit . Kim is a true danger to those around her- and it is all ego driven. Sad but enough feeling sorry for her- she deliberately flaunts her will against everyone and anyone.

Apologies – pych drugs, not psycho.

They may well( some of them)be prescribed and necessary to treat her psychiatric conditions, but Kim has avoided true psychiatric care and analysis for so long that she is more likely to be addicted to them ( at least emotionally if not physically that she needs to be off them to determine what she truly needs.

Amen, There is ore going on here with Eden, and it is neither healthy nor ok. She is a very pretty woman with a good deal of issues, who appears to overcompensate at every turn. I’m glad to have looked at her instagram, but none of it makes sense to me.

And you are so right about the hash tags- these ladies use them to put any words they want to out there to sell their own point of view. Yolanda was a perfect example of that.

It does not appear Eden is married. To me, she is coming across as trying way to hard to deal with her own pain on alcoholism, but especially her own addition- and I wonoder if she isn;t over compensating on this to recover from her own issues in the past. . From her way too-long hugs to the immersion in other’s business while judging, it feels like she is lonely, as holes caused by her
illness, and is desperate to make a difference/be a real friend , in order to feel accepted ad part of things. Way too much too fast.

Where is her family, her children to focus on?

Okay, after watching the episode, reading the recap, and reading the comments, some thoughts…

I genuinely don’t get this “Kim’s sobriety is off limits” line. According to whom? If Kim wants to be a private person and does not want people publicly speculating about her behavior, then she should not appear on reality television, and if she does choose to appear, she probably shouldn’t instigate big conflicts for no reason with reality tv participants as she did at Kyle’s game night. And yet, all anyone could do was clasp pearls out how Rinna could bring up Kim’s arrests all the while Kim was lamely trying to defend her behavior in Holland by saying, “I never said anything about your husband.”

Eden had a negative reaction to Kim (and Kyle) during game night, so I think it’s bit rich for her to present it she was simply wound up and misinformed by Rinna. Eden told Dorit that she thought Kyle enabled Kim’s behavior. She remarked that it was odd that Kim could act so egregiously at the party while everyone takes a let’s-pretend-it’s-not-happening approach. For what it’s worth, Kyle said at the end of the first season, after outing her sister’s alcoholism, that their mother’s preferred method of dealing with family problems was to ignore them and instruct her daughters not to discuss them. On a side note, anyone happen to know how much time actually passed between the game night and the Mexico trip?

Yes, Rinna talked some shit about Kim behind Kyle’s back. And she didn’t acquit herself too well during this episode. I wish Kim Richards and her family well, but I don’t want to hear about her sobriety anymore. She’s not a cast member on the show, but she keeps getting wedged into scenes to provide plot points. Hell they brought her back during the last reunion so that she and Rinna could rehash the whole Amsterdam fight, which had already been discussed at the previous reunion.

The truth is, nobody will ever know the status of Kim’s sobriety except Kim. Kyle can testify to it all she wants, but she also thought Kim was sober back when she was hiding liquor bottles in Mohammad’s bathroom.

Oh, the irony – Big Kathy told the girls to keep the family secrets private and they are both on reality tv. On the other hand, Big Kathy pimped those girls out the minute they could earn big show biz money – so maybe she would be tickled pink that they turned the family secrets into a million dollar enterprise. I guess I will have to watch “Kyle’s scripted show” to understand the conundrum that is Big Kathy.

Amen! For either Kim or Kyle to complain about Kim’s sobriety status as a subject/ storyline is hilarious! Of course, they both know that the only value Kim’s exchange with Bravo paycheck is , obviously, her lack of sobriety. Kim , nor the poor, put upon Kyle, are being blind sided or victimized by Rinna or anyone. They’ve been on this show for years and they know storyline= paycheck. For anyone thinking poor Kim is trying to be happy and move on ,along with poor Kyle, always having her storyline outshined by Kim’s situation…,….. Get it straight, Kyle has producer credits, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that the housewives shows thrive on convincing the viewers that they are reality. The comments and opinions of all the housewives blogs not only show them people are watching, but also drives the direction of the story. To believe that poor “sober” Kim thought that Bravo brought her back for her grandma story, is ridiculous! With her arrest and the scandal they thanked the Reality gods she created- to believe Rinna’s “let’s talk about your arrest” wasn’t pushed on her by producers…….., highly likely they conned broke and unstable Kim to appear promising that her storyline, would in fact, be the new baby subject that she kept talking about. Approximately 4 fans would care that she’s a grandma. Being generous. So her confusion and defensiveness is maybe real. Kyle, having producer credits had to know that there would be zero chance that shady bravo producers would be so kind to not address the fact that Kim, claiming to be sober last year, off filming , was arrested at Target! They didn’t highlight it or make it an episode long event ( bc they promised her and maybe Kule they wouldn’t), but they definitely told Rinna to mention it. She did. Notice how that wasn’t expanded on to viewers?!? They simply made sure it was mentioned. Again, Kyle, a veteran and producer on the show, if she truly was concerned that negative comments regarding Kim’s Sobriety would harm her, while maybe unaware the producers coaxed Rinna to mention it, ABSOLUTELY knew it would be an ongoing storyline. What’s sad is that Kim needs money. Bravo famously pays friends of housewives per scene. So Kim appeared for what? Two scenes? Yet, the discussion- The drama that serves Rinna ( villain),Kyle ( poor Kyle- victim) loyal purpose for another producer, LVP ( she makes Rinna look bad and appears sympathetic to her “bestie” Kyle’s sister that she’s previously shown no empathy for),…..
The point is , they’re using Kim and her fragility. Kyle is allowing this. Rinna, the hustler is following orders…. Erika is out of the loop and amazing. Eden is in need of fame and dollars and was coming from a good though obnoxiously out of touch place. Dorit, is a lackey for LVP- her husband is a typical asshole.
      There you have it folks.
None of them are being treated badly. They’ve chosen to exploit themselves for fame and money . Only one who has enough star power and interest on their own, without resorting to subpar behavior, is the breakout star—- Erika!

For the record: Eileen was drinking water and said she wasn’t feeling well long before the shit hit the fan at the party. After the fact, I felt she really felt for Rinna, but there was no defending her.

She was trying to deflect from the situation by claiming her wonderful life, blah, blah, blah, her daughter walked for Tommy H, blah, blah, blah, I’m so happy, blah, blah blah. She knew she was screwed and was trying to be the victim. That seemed desperate and pathetic, just like her “performance” on the table on the boat. Trying too hard, IMO.

Don’t think she was trying to defend the situation by saying her life so wonderful. I think she was trying to say that she had come from this really positive place with her family enjoying something in their lives and now she was in the situation where she was just feeling like she was at the bottom and she didn’t want to go there. I think she was wrong to say those things about Kim and seeing them on camera should have told her that they were going to peer again later in the show. But the fact of the matter is I don’t understand why Kim is on still on the show and if she’s going to be on the show obviously these kinds of things are going to be discussed about her and Kyle.

I loved this episode because there was just as much fun as there was drama. It’s too bad Rinna set herself up for the tough season she will have because of running her mouth on camera with Eden. On the boat when Eileen and Rinna were talking about how happy LVP is that Rinna is going down, Rinna says LVP is upset because Rinna called her out last year. I can agree with that but I think Rinna continues to miss the very important point that LVP does her talk OFF CAMERA thus creating a she said she said situation that can be filled with doubt. Rinna continues to talk ON CAMERA and then tries to deny what she says. Rinna should have taken Ericka’s advice to confess to Kyle. If she had everyone could start to move on and it definitely would have taken the wind out LVP’s sail.
It’s too bad Rinna had that conversation about Eden about Kim’s sobriety, otherwise, it would not be the big story line that is has become. I hope Rinna redeems herself before the season is over.

I have to say, I think LVP looks good without make-up, relaxing at the villa and enjoying the vacation. Yes, she’s also enjoying the fact that Rinna is getting pay back but this is the fun LVP that I’ve not seen in the past few seasons. I had to laugh during LVP’s talking head when she was squealing about how Rinna needs to “own it” ! LOL

Kyle looked great at the party and I’m happy she didn’t harp on the crap with Rinna the next day and allowed for everyone to have good time on the boat.

I love how Ericka is becoming more open and appears to be good, loyal friend to both Kyle and Rinna in this situation.

I liked Dorit in this episode because she didn’t say too much and just enjoyed herself on the trip. Her husband seems to be the Peter of this franchise.

Someone please tell me how the hell we got a shot of PK shirtless on the boat several times instead of Mauricio?!!! If I NEVER see a shirtless PK again it will be too soon.

Well I gotta give it to her – LVP is right and LR needs to “Own it!” No doubt LR will be doing some fancy footwork trying to overcome what she set up for herself by not owning it immediately.

Couldn’t help but think about all the hoops LVP had to jump through JUST to be able say “OWN IT!” back @ LR. Once LVP heard about the conversation LR and Eden had at the store about Kim and Kyle. Then getting Eden over to her house, on camera, telling LVP as if it was the first time LVP heard about it. Setting up another scenario, on camera, between LVP and Kyle where she tells her what happened. Then getting the scene, on camera, between Kyle and LR discussing it. LVP sure got some traction out of this one.

Oh what a tangled web we weave…

Let see another example of Kyle, the enabler, (saying something like “that could cause a person in sobriety to relapse”). I don’t have the exact words but that is an enabler speaking. Not only that, I wonder how many times Kim used such language to guilt trip her family and friends into believing her (Kim) addiction is their fault. This is the pattern in families with addicts. Let’s see if they own that.

Rinna is backed into a corner and lying, but please do confrontations one on one. I loved how Eileen and Erika care for her. If I was Rinna I would have said a lot more after that scary car ride from hell with Kim. Kim never apologized or owned it.

LVP got her pound of flesh and I bet she’s not satisfied. And LVP is owning her influencing Rinna from last year, still lying about it.

These ladies don’t need story lines; they are awesome. Let their personalities, fashion sense, families, and social engagements be the story line instead of making up things, like fights, fake boyfriends, marriage vows renewals, etc.

Dorit fake bag, fake story line, fake wealth…please keep the real people around, Bravo. They have to give Eden one more year, and would love to see Camillle.

Excellent point. If Kim relapses it’s because Rinna was talking about her? Pfffft! Thinking someone else is to blame for an addicts behavior is called enabling.

If Rinna was a Xanax junkie, tonight would have been the time she went to the bag of pills and thrown one in her Margarita. Puts that rumor to rest, in my opinion.

      I agree..
Beyond the infomercial for Mauricio…Give me some content that is better than talking about KIM; pantie gate; and other bitchy things. much prefer ladies having fun and partying. Too much conflict about nothing!

Just watched the RHoBH episode. Always really liked Erika- now she is my obsession! New motto- what would EG/EJ do? She unflappably kind and decent, calm and basically a poster girl got how to handle desperate and insecure people.

From Kyle’s 1/25/07 blog: “Eden certainly should not be making accusations about my sister when she says she is sober but admittedly takes pills.” So, Kyle, is it okay to question someone’s sobriety or not? I’m confused.

Not to mention the many many pills Kim was/is taking. Remember that scene with Paul Nassif at his clinic when he asked Kim what medications she was on? Kim was ‘sober’ and out of rehab then.

I like Lisa R, but were her tears real or reel?! Then she claims not to remember what she said, “but if I did it I’ll cop to it.” (I hope she does) too funny. I like the back of her green dress.

Dorit following Rinna asking if she ok, as if she cares. I so want her and her creepy husband not to return next season.

If I had to choose someone for a friend amongst these women it would be Erika, I love her maturity and how real she is.

LVP talking ’bout wife swap, besides her husband and PK who would want to hook-up with her!

As for Eileen: I don’t see a difference between Ashley (YR) and who she is on RHOBH.

    Thanks for the recap.

I was kind of hoping Rinna would give Kyle the apology she deserves (I’m on the fence as to whether Kim deserves the same consideration), and this would all blow over. Instead, Rinna lied and cried, and then teamed up with her old buddy Eileen to bash Vanderpump. From a strategic perspective, that was so dumb. Reality TV tends to turn you into either a winner or a victim, and I don’t want Rinna to end up a victim of her own doing.

I would defend Vanderpump’s behavior in this episode. If Vanderpump was on the spot and caught doing something vile, you can bet Eileen and Rinna would be kiki’ing over it in the corner just the same. Lord knows I’d enjoy it if my enemy was going down in flames. It’s been nice to see her so vociferous in her defense of Kyle in those last few episodes (I love them as allies), and also in her defense of Kim. I think LVP regards Kim as insignificant, but after Kim went on TV and trashed her with all that “she never calls me” stuff a year or two ago, she seems to have tried harder to have a cordial relationship with her and keep her on-side. None of this is behavior I’d want to see from a friend of mine, of course, but in the context of a reality show I don’t think LVP did anything wrong. Sure, she could take the high road, but why should she? Let her have her moment. I mean…. it was kind of delicious, no? (At least up until the crying, which I found hard to watch.)

I do have to say that it occurred to me last night that the glam is coming back to RHOBH somewhat. I agree with Guest Appearance who said to get the fakes out of the show and keep it as “real” as possible. And by fakes I mean Russell & Taylor, Part 2.

Loving the trips, the nice surroundings and I hope I’m wrong that there’s gonna be screaming by Eden next week. It would be SOOOO nice to have a 2nd show (like Melbourne) with no shouting – just lots of fabulousness with some personality conflicts.

Since I’m sick this week and I just happened to go back to Season 1 of RHOBH and am reminded of the REAL Kyle, but she’s been hiding it well and Mauricio has done soooo well with his career.

Anyway, kudos to RHOBH for making a comeback.

p.s. Didn’t realize at the time that Adrianne was supposed to be the original queen bee, unseated by LVP. Interesting.

A show like Melbourne with no shouting? Did we watch the same show? I love that show too, but I saw plenty of shouting.

    Hi All,

I’m a newbie to commenting, but a long time lurker. I have never felt compelled to comment, but I am here to, as instantly unpopular as it may make me, defend Rinna (kinda).

First, I think back to when Erika felt comfortable enough to confide her feelings about LVP to whoever that was (can’t remember to save my life, argh!). You know, when she tells her to be careful because she thinks she’s a sniper from the side, don’t get caught in a web, etc.

I think this situation with Rinna is very similar. She felt a connection with Eden, and felt she could trust her with her thoughts about Kim and Kyle. Also, no secret that Kim frustrates the hell out of her and they battled recently.

Anyhow, I don’t think anything Rinna said was that shocking and atrocious or insulting. She was told in the past that Kim was sober, then we all saw that she was TOTALLY NOT. Not crazy for her to suspect that maybe Kim is only “mostly sober” now, too. Perhaps the impression that she was “close to death” is based on her interactions with her, what the press exposes, etc. Maybe it was a simple exaggeration. Again, not necessarily an insult. Calling kyle an enabler…probably not what any person wants to hear about themselves, but most people who are close to addicts end up enabling to some degree. Not really an insult, even if it’s not entirely accurate.

I think Rinna simply panicked at the party and felt, literally and figuratively, “backed into a corner.” She had no idea that was coming, so had no way to prepare. Plus, she was totally surrounded at a big party in another country.

I wish she hadn’t trusted Eden so soon. I wish she had “owned it” immediately and stood by her feelings. I wish she had asked kyle to speak privately (I bet she would have fessed up). But we know how things must go in Bravoland.

Eden should never have repeated it. Erika shouldn’t have brought it up at the party. Eileen should have said what Eden was saying to her (it would have taken some of the heat and spotlight off her friend). LVP and Dorit shouldn’t have ran over to join the mob. They all have their hands in how it went down.

Is Rinna totally innocent? No. But it ain’t even close to being as shitty as those women have all been to one another at different times.

Ok, sorry for the novel. Don’t rip my head off, lol. I’m new…be gentle!

Welcome to the comments section, Sara. Kathryn Edwards was the cast member who ran to LVP to tell her what Erika had said. As for your impression, I am pretty much in total agreement. And yes, it does seem like we are a bit in the minority. On RealityTea, there are tons of Rinna and Eileen haters, and they really piled on me. It was fun. I happen to adore Eileen Davidson and cannot understand for the life of me how anyone could have a hugely negative opinion of her, even if some of her behavior can be mildly irritating.

Eileen is pretty harmless really (maybe that’s the problem?).

Although I do cringe every time she orders an “extremely, extremely, VERY, dry white wine”.

I adore Eileen, just getting to look at her gorgeous self is enough for me. I’m so sick of the “she’s got no story-line” bullshit. To me it’s their life and if you don’t like it… I hate the fake drama and can spot it a mile away.

Sara, I loved your comment. You used punctuation, you are articulate and you made paragraphs. You made your points without rambling or shrieking. I hope you post more often.

The thing that annoys me about Rinna is her obsession with worrying about Kim. The whole I can’t be around another sick person cry, cry. Then don’t. If you see Kim at an event, just stay away. The fact that she feels some type of responsibility for Kim is batshit crazy. Kyle doesn’t even have to take responsibility for Kim. I like Kim, I hope her to be healthy and happy. Kim is responsible for Kim.

So just so we are clear, Rinna could not remember her conversation with Eden, her comments about Kyle being an enabler or even saying that Kim was close to death but somehow miraculously remembers a conversation where kyle was mentioning how she was scared for her sister, which happened over a year ago (last season)?…how fitting…

Seems like when she wants to defend herself and her actions, her memory is super precise.

Aside from being pretty, Eilleen bores me to death and i wish she would hold her friends to the same standards that she expects from other people i.e LVP.

Theres something about Erika that doesnt quite sit with me…i know im the minority here but Erika is not that sincere. Coming into the show, she stated knowing Yolanda for over 10 years which happened to be a lie…then she lied again in another occasion and used the pretense that she just didn’t want to deal with the drama YET she gets no bad rap for it?
Moreover, i felt the girls were beating down on Dorit for her, even after she and Dorit had squashed the whole thing and had high5ved each other, yet she just sat there, expressionless when she could have just said “listen its over and done we are fine moving on”…
