Kenya Moore may have made it to the top six in the Miss Universe pageant back in the day, but it was Kenya’s friend, Cynthia Bailey who was asked to fly to the Philippines to judge the 65th annual Miss Universe pageant this year.
I’ve been watching Cynthia on Instagram as she prepares for her experience. It was clear she was excited and nervous about the big event.
Cynthia said, “I have watched the Miss Universe pageant my whole life, and I am so honored to be a judge this year. I was blown away during the preliminary interviews by these ladies’ back stories, intelligence, philanthropies, grace, and beauty. I am so inspired by all of them. They are all winners, and trying to pick just one is a huge challenge, but I am up for it!”
I couldn’t watch last night in real time and managed to get spoiled on the winner, but I am watching it now. Flo Rida is singing about slapping big booties as the women walk out. So very tacky. I guess it could be worse. He could be singing, “Grab em by the pussy.” I am also shocked that Steve Harvey is hosting again after saying the wrong name last year.
On Demand is not working for me today. So it looks like I won’t be able to watch it after all. I’ve now lost all cable. This is not good. I am going to have to break down and trade my cable box out.
That video is of her introduction. She looks super nervous to me!
I’m off to visit the cable company.
