Charlie Sheen was on WWHL last night. I watched Charlie Sheen on The View today first. After seeing an ad for a Strahan interview with him on GMA this morning, I got the impression we were going to be surprised about how sane Charlie is today.
I am not seeing the difference here. He seems to be drinking a lot from his coffee cup. Charlie Sheen says he is part of an HIV experimental drug study that is going very well. He says the medication he is testing is fantastic and has no side effects. Not sure that is possible, but I certainly want to believe him.
Charlie blames his psychotic episodes on overusing testosterone cream that essentially gave him roid rage. He says there were no drugs or alcohol involved. Um, didn’t we see him drinking a lot then?
Whoopi really loves Charlie Sheen. This tells me all I need to know.
On WWHL Charlie starts right away hitting on Andy Cohen. Charlie has never been on WWHL and likely never seen it. He is more confused than usual about what is happening. The games are even worse than usual. Andy is literally playing every stupid game in his game bag. They all have highly sexual content.
Craig Robinson is the other guest and he just keeps sipping his drink and noting all the exit signs.
To top this whole shitshow off, it’s shotski night. Charlie complains that his shot is so small it’s an “ant bath.” After the break, Charlie makes history by asking for another group shotski. I don’t think anyone has asked that before. He also asks Craig Robinson if he can be on his new Karaoke Van show on Spike. Craig says sure. Then Charlie called Rianna a bitch and Craig is no longer having it with Charlie.
Charlie played plead the fifth and the final question was to rank four of his costars from favorite to least favorite. He ended up putting Heather Locklear first and Lindsey Lohan second and then he was unable to decide who he despised more, Selma Blair or Jenny McCarthy saying he would kick both of them to the curb and they deserve each other.
The show ends with an unprecedented second shotski.
Now I have to go find the Charlie interview with Strahan. Okay, it was not as good as the WWHL or The View interview. Nothing really worth mentioning.
Charlie has a new movie out on Crackle that it looks like he self-produced called Mad Families that streams today. It’s a slapstick type comedy about what happens when a Mexican family, a black family and a white family all reserve the same campsite on the fourth of July and must camp together for the weekend.
First time commenter, forever lurker and I really needed to weigh in. He came off as if everything he said needed to be applauded, lauded and held up as a pearl of wisdom. He keep looking to Craig for some sort of “cool guy” validation, though I suspect Charlie had no idea who the hell he was. Poor Craig looked like he wanted to get the hell out of there. It was seriously one of those most off putting creepy things I have witnessed in quite a while.
Oh hell no!
Two and a half men is one of the best comedies EVER. Charlie is a comic genius. Considering the shitstorm his life has been for quite some time, I am surprised he can walk upright much less go on a publicity your. Having said that , he has starred in 2 of my all-time favorite movies, Wall Street and Platoon, and Major League. I can always count on reruns of men or anger management for lots of laughs.
OMW, I was so uncomfortable watching him last night. I was not able to watch the whole thing. After the Rianna comment I thought things could get messy. I think Andy sensed it too and that’s why he filled the time with so much of the game crap. He wasn’t comfortable, Craig was def not comfortable. It was AWFUL. Not even sure why I tuned in except curiosity I guess. Also, I LOVED The Office and everyone on it. It was good to see Craig and I hope he is doing well.
Hope you are feeling better too!
I kind of thought Charlie seemed nervous and he is probably looking for some sort of validation. We learned his HUGE meltdown was in the wake of learning he was hiv positive and he certainly jumped off the deep end. I think he’s trying to be “OK” and I truly hope that he is. He always thought he was invincible and all at once realized he wasn’t and how wrong he was about a whole lot of things in life. Reality can be a bitch to face, for all of us.
Jesus, how big is Craig? He looks enormous next to Charlie!
Jesus! How much do you weigh? You post like an anorexic.
I meant he looks very tall with a big build. Not fat.
I saw The View today and thought it was really uncomfortable. Charlie has finally realized that his career is in the crapper and trying to charm his way back in. That ship has sailed. It’s sad and feel bad for his kids and Denise Richards.
He seemed genuinely upset when Joy told him twice his jokes were not funny and thrilled when she finally said one of his jokes were.
I watch WWHL…. but thank you for watching The View for us. Joy is the only one I still like. I love that she told him he wasn’t funny.
Hollywood and the entertainment industry wanted nothing to do with Charlie Sheen, but a few well-timed Tweets trashing Trump allowed his agent to get through to booking agents who previously wouldn’t take the calls. Not surprised WWHL and The View were two of the first to seat him on their sets. I don’t care about Charlie Sheen’s political leanings, but it is interesting how he’s now considered acceptable talent to book.
One of the things I love about WWHL is that they are pretty free with who they book. I mean, c’mon, Jackee Harry? She’s a has been that couldn’t get on any talk show, but pair her with Regina King and an open bar, and that was GOLD! Sure, booking Scott Baio sounded fun, and it bombed – but at least they tried.
Charlie still drew enough ratings on Anger Management to warrant a press tour for his Crackle show. I didn’t even now he tweeted about Trump. I doubt it got more attention than Meryl!
Charlie Sheen is another sad, sad story of the Lindsey Lohan ilk ( Is that right ?). They have lots of talent that is hidden by the disease we call addiction. I was working as a nurse when a study was done about it that seemed to show that there was a difference in brain and liver enzymes between study participants who had/didn’t have addictive personality traits.
I’m sure there are current studies, and I am most interested in the resultsI know that I could “search” for the information. I just don’t put much trust in search results.
Don’t usually watch WWHL but I have to watch this episode after reading your recap. What a combo of guests. Craig is usually hilarious. Love that Charlie blames his “episodes” on testerone ? And asks for more alcohol.
What is the reference to Whoopi mean, TT? Dying to know. I know she is very pro-pot, is there more I am missing? Love some good Tea.
She defended Cosby for EVER saying the women were all just trying to be in the news.
She clearly HATES being on The View and does it for her huge pay check.
She shouts a lot and doesn’t know what she is shouting about.
Agreed, she really does seem to not know what she is so mad about half the time. Didn’t know about the Cosby stuff. That’s gross.
I love when Joy makes an intellectual, well thought out point that is not in line with what Whoopi thinks. I swear literal steam comes form her ears and her side eyes go out of control. Then Whoopi has no time for anyone else’s comments except her own, and HAS to go to commercial. She cracks me up when she does that.

Charlie just creeps me out for some reason, even though he is my age he reminds me of a little old man. Years of hard living, possibly the illness. Craig is great, his expressions were awesome, I would love to hear his true thoughts after the show.
Lol..same.
Charlie creeps me out. He’s really hard to watch. I tried to watch him on The View last night after work and he’s just so..I don’t know. I hope he’s doing well for the sake of his young children, but after reading what happened to his dogs my hopes aren’t very high.
