I got distracted in an online conversation and totally lost track of time and my DVR is all a mess, so I am going into this late and will try to get caught up. I have to say, two hours is one hour too long for a show like this. I’m going to focus mainly on the women’s team tonight. I also found out recently that no one who gets eliminated actually gets to ride off in THE CHOPPER. How dumb is that? Just put them in a car then.
Task One: Welch’s Grape Juice is the sponsor. They have to create and 8-10 minute health segment that shows how Welch’s is good for your heart and lifestyle. Rocco DiSpirito is there as a judge.
Chael Sonnen is the PM for the guys. He volunteered and in an MMA fighter. Laila Ali is the PM for the ladies. Who will have the knock out? My money is on Laila who is currently in “nutrition school.” The winning PM gets $50K.
Team Arete
The guys are using a talk show approach with some music and comedy. Not sure this is the right strategy. For the first time, the guys seem to be squabbling. Chael becomes over confident because he is going up against the girls who have lost every challenge so far.
The guys wrote a song that Boy George sang as the intro and the close. Carson hosted. Lovitz did comedy spot. There was a health bit. I preferred the guys segment. But they perhaps didn’t mention the brand enough.
Team Prima
Lisa who has been drawing a lot of unnecessary attention to herself early on, also suggests a talk show format. Coincidence? I think not. Porsha is really good with her ideas. Laila wants to keep everyone on task. Laila wants to be much more serious than Porsha’s concept. Laila is a task master. And I think she will pull out the win. She wants to do a cooking segment. Rocco’s feedback is to make people laugh. Laila is not down with the humor. Everyone else tries to convince her to make it a bit lighthearted.
Their set is purple and grapelike. It’s cute. Laila gets bitchier as things go on. Porsha is really good at hosting and that is what she is going to do. I’m no Porsha fan, but Porsha is doing the most on this task. Actually, Kyle, Snooki and Lisa are the hosts and Porsha is a correspondent. Lisa cut Porsha off as she felt her segment was going too long. Laila made some juice.
The Boardroom
Everyone says that Laila was great, except for Lisa. Lisa says that Laila held back the humor and she is worried about that. The guys all support each other.
The women win and Laila takes the knockout. Laila’s charity is the Women’s Sports Foundation.
Chael is furious with Ricky for not being supportive of the whole singing thing. Ricky says he expressed issues right away and that is why Chael should be fired. Carson says that Eric and Jon contributed the least. Jon blames Chael because he is the PM. Eric, whose only contribution was putting juice under the seats, says he did what he was told and if he goes home, he goes home. Chael brings back Eric and Ricky. Because of Eric’s “I don’t give a fuck attitude,” he will go home. And he was.
Side note: I am appalled these people have all the possible wine glasses at their disposal, and don’t know which one to choose for their wines.
Task Two
King’s Hawaiian has been on this show a lot. They have broadened their brand to include BBQ sauce. The teams need to produce a viral video. This should be good for the ladies, their social media numbers are likely higher. Snooki/Nicole is the PM for the gals and the guys PM is… Matt maybe? One of the sports guys I think.
Team Prima
Kyle brings up a housewives concept and Laila loves the double dipping concept. It’s unclear if these two concepts were merging. Laila and Lisa start going at each other right away.
The girls shoot Laila’s concept about double dipping first. Kyle and Snooki talk about how Porsha is trying to take over the direction. Lisa and Porsha get into it. That said, the double dipping video seems to go quite well. On the other hand, the housewives video is not going as smoothly. Once again, Kyle will be tagged as the concept person if this doesn’t go well. Porsha seems to be rewriting it herself. So maybe Porsha will go. It’s chaotic. At some point, Porsha actually says, “Can’t we just get that chopper ready for Kyle?”
Porsha goes with Nicole to edit the video. Once again, Lisa missed the shot. To make up for it, Porsha and Nicole decide to make it full of special effects and craziness, because the footage is not strong. The housewives ad was not good at all, but the double dipping one was. Mostly because of the four videos, the double dipping one had a tight shot on the sauce. Honestly, that was due to Porsha’s blocking, not Lisa the director. Porsha is really blowing her dumb fake scenes on RHOA with this show. She is quite smart. For example, every time Arnold walks into the boardroom, he says, “Hello, Everybody!” Everyone responds, “Hello.” Except for Porsha who says “Hello, Governor!” Despite NOT being the Governor of California anymore, he has explicitly stated to his friend Jon Lovitz that he will call him Governor in the boardroom. He was probably kidding with his friend, like 75%. But Porsha will call him Daddy if that is what he wants.
Team Arete
Okay Matt is the host of American Ninja. I’ve actually enjoyed that show a few times, I just never made the connection. They guys are going sports related. Lovitz wants to do a video about women on the beach pouring the sauce on themselves. Apparently there are two ads per team. Boy George hates the woman on the beach pouring sauce on herself. Vince is also not thrilled with Jon’s idea. Jon storms off.
Boy George has a diva moment of his own. Matt is great about dealing with all the drama. Later, Matt looks into the camera and says of Boy George, “Do you really want to hurt me? Do you really want to make me cry?” Bravo, Matt. Bravo.
Speaking of playing hurt, Carson has fractured his elbow during filming. Lovitz is not listening to his teammates in the editing room. They should probably leave that to Jon. Jon is grumpy and kind of dramatic, but Vince has no idea what he is talking about.
The guys’ videos were both okay, but the football one was a lot better than the other one.
The Boardroom
Arnold is very funny if you understand his British Austrian humor. He asks about Carson’s sling. Carson said he was playing football and he’s not very good at football. Arnold follows up with, “Is this the first time you have taken down a professional athlete?” Carson says, “Well, on the football field, yes.”
Nicole says it was a challenge for her to wrangle all the strong voices on her team but everyone was very supportive and she is proud to call them all her friends. Lisa says that she thought the concept was better for the housewives video but once she saw how it was edited, the double dipping one was much better. Arnold asks about the concepts. Kyle admits the housewives video was her idea, but after editing it turned into something else, but she still liked it. Porsha says that Lisa didn’t give them the shots that they needed for the housewives video. I have to say, if I had never watched housewives, I’d be team Porsha all the way. She is a force to be reckoned with on this show. Lisa says in every boardroom she gets the blame. And she does. For a reason.
The guys are a bit happier with their final product, but there were many issues among the guys this week. Matt accuses Boy George of throwing a fit. Based on the amount of time he was at Dorit and PK’s house, I know Boy George doesn’t last long. This could be his time.
The executives like both of the guys videos but thought that the product appeal could have been better in Ricky’s football video. They were basically using the bottle of sauce as a football and it didn’t show how good it tasted is what I took from that comment.
The executives loved the double dipping video and the product appeal. There was no brand recognition in the housewives video. The men won. Matt won $50K for The Arthritis Foundation.
I need Porsha to take this bitch down. Lisa just called Arnold, governor. LOL. Too late to the party Lisa. Laila comes for Lisa. Nicole will not bring Kyle back. Or Porsha. Laila is going in hard for Lisa. Kyle could not be happier about this.
Once again, Kyle got off for her concept. Nicole brings back Porsha for editing with her and Lisa for not giving them the right shots to work with. Lisa says that Nicole is ultimately responsible as the project manager for letting Porsha fuck everything up. That’s a great lie to tell, but Porsha and Nicole had an hour to edit the shit Lisa shot. They made the choice together to go over the top with added bizarre editing because they had nothing to work with. Nicole has a breakdown. She wants to take the blame. She can’t deal with all the fighting. Arnold tells Nicole she is smart and did a great job. Nicole basically says this is too hard for her. Nicole seems relieved to be terminated.
I need Porsha to FIGHT TO THE DEATH with this Lisa bitch. If Kyle can’t win I hope Porsha does.
I KNOW! But I always speak my truth! She is rocking out this show.
In other news, to the idiots who are boycotting the show because Trump is and Executive producer in name only now, more than anything, he doesn’t want Arnold to beat him in the ratings. He feels he is irreplaceable. But not watching, you are letting him win. Um, again. And this probably matters more to him.
Porsha is playing the game really well. I would like to see her go far in this game. Lisa is not a team player at all. If Snooki was better at fighting, Lisa could have very easily been terminated.
I agree with you about the president-elect. I do hope his twitter is extremely limited after the 20th

This is Us, on NBC is such a favorite, it had this time spot. I hope it comes back soon and TT, if you’ve not seen it watch. It’s a really uplifting good show.
Porscha totally faked that Underground Railroad ignorance after seeing this. More proof the Housewives are scripted crap.
Looovvvee This is Us. It’s back on tonight and I am excited to watch. So much going on TV tonight…
This is Us starts again tonight at 10 pm. Yippee! This past Saturday, USA Network showed a marathon of all the episodes that have aired so far and now I’m hooked.
WTF happened to Nicole’s lips? They look painful.
At the end of the day….. too much Juvaderm
I’m so upset I only had my dvr set for one episode last week and not the series! Thanks for your recap Tamara. Sounded like a good episode
I really want one of the Housewives to win! I wish Porsha was this way (which I think is her real personality) on the Housewives show. I could respect her more and should potentially even run that show. I can’t wait for some to take Lisa out, can’t stand her.
As for Trump’s tweets about Arnold, my take on that is Arnold should thank Trump for reminding everyone that Arnold didn’t support Trump’s campaign as this may actually get more people to watch the show, LOL.
I am kind of stunned at those tweets….DT is still executive producer on the show. No do well no check. Arnold is a Republican, he was our governor!
Was the shot in the bathroom of Kyle on the toilet? It was so strange to show inside the bathroom. Even if she was not active going to the bathroom, it kind of looked like she was “wiping.” I just don’t need any WC visuals!
I have never been a fan of Porsha but I can appreciate her flipping the script on this show and not bringing her housewives character in to this. I never realized what a turd Lisa Leslie is. Laila and Porsha need to team up and take her out immediately. I wonder how long Kyle is just going to be able to coast by? The women’s team is down to 5 players and the men still have 7. I have a feeling that next week one of the men will be drafted to join to the women and even things up.
it is a bit disturbing to see porsha drag kyle on the floor, deja vu.
Wow. I did not even make that connection. Good point.
I do not like that I like Porsha so much on this show. She is also very good on Dish Nation.
I despise her on RHOA.
Although Porsha seems to be doing well playing the game, it feels like she is playing the game. Arnold has already said she is too verbose, that hasn’t gone away. So far Porsha has been the sweetheart who has a hard time bringing someone back to the Boardroom, the backstabber-“oh the words just fell out of my mouth.” She has been the savior when delivered bad product but she regularly fails to stay focused on the product. It is usually about her.
As an actor and a governor Arnold knows it isn’t about the concept but the execution. Lisa and Porsha do not produce a great product, primarily because of Lisa but Porsha cant grasp the basics about what the client wants and it is not her jibber jabbering – they want the product. Laila issue is she needs to find a sense of humor, enough of the knock out stuff.
If Porsha is around when the teams get mixed up I wonder how much the guys will like her persona. I would think she has to do more than play the game. One thing for certain she will drive them nuts with her incessant talking. Of course I have yet to see Brooke do anything so Porsha is probably safe for a bit.
Porsha is actually refreshing on this show, one of the best housewives shown so far in this series, so much better than Teresa. In that season, however, Lisa Lampanelli was smart enough to show how dumb Teresa was. Lisa (this season) needs to put her money where her mouth is an be a PM next week, Donald Trump would have totally pressured her to, with all of the complaining she does. Kyle is not impressing me either, and Snooki, with the duck lips and the crying, oh wow, she so needed to go.
I agree with comments re Porsha flipping the script, showing she’s smart, can speak coherently; and be respectful of others. I also, loved the color of her dress; it’s a favorite color of mine. *who cares.* 🙂
Lisa speaking over others is not a good look. Yes, Laila, and Porsha should team up and take her out.
Hopefully, after the 20th, Trump checks his EGO, stay off Twitter and focus bigly on daily briefings so he understands his responsibilities as leader of the free world.
I thought Porsha comes across as a bit cloying and pleasant, but again, not very bright. She spent the whole conversation with Brooke talking about her personality and background, nothing at all about the product.
She might have gone home had the women lost, because she added zero value to the presentation, as I saw it.
I like Trump better than Arnold.
Did I just say that?
Does Arnold have any business acumen?
Arnold is a very smart businessman. This venue perhaps not the best for him…but he is not stupid.
Over the years Arnold has had and continues to have several successful businesses in Los Angeles. After he broke Maria’s heart he has laid kind of low but he is no dummy. When he was governor, he continued to live in Los Angeles, but flew up to Sacramento weekly to fulfill his duties. He did not take a salary the whole time he was in office.
When I was in college I used to work at a now defunct movie studio called Carolco Pictures. While there they were in the process of shooting Total Recall. Arnold came in to the office quite often. He was always gracious to the staff all the way down to the valet guys who parked the cars. He tipped them handsomely (it was not even required since they were employed by Carolco). He never forgot where he came from, unlike some of the others.
This is not just his thing and I am not sure why. He comes across as awkward on screen. I actually like his nephew, he is just as good a henchman as Don Jr. I find it interesting they are doing 2 hours a week. It’s like they are trying to burn off the episodes?
My theory is they are counterprogramming The Bachelor and if they just did one hour, one might flip around and catch the second hour of The Bachelor and get sucked into the other channel.
Interesting. I missed the first episode but thought he was both awkward and ineffective last night. Maybe he will get in the groove, but it doesn’t feel like it- then again, I never felt Donald was that great it-especially the early years- as the person who was fired would leave the room, Donald would turn to his helpers at the table and ask for their input- was always somewhat tentative about his choices. And that made more real to me.
But Arnold was just inept. I hope it all settle sin shortly. That helicopter to nowhere sees hokey, especially with TT’s info that the losers don’t; leave via it.
I believe we should all give our new leaders time to settle in and gain confidence in their new roles, but really hope Donald will stop twittering period- but especially about Arnold- it sends all the wrong messages and is childish. Was that from this week or last, TT?
Me, too! I can’t believe it! I am uncomfortable for me to even have and listen to him. He is also not as good at asking probing questions in the boardroom. I thought Damian John would have been great at this.
I love everything about this season of Celebrity Apprentice. I like that the focus is on tasks with a standard $50,000 awarded to the winning project manager’s charity. In previous seasons, each task had a different monetary reward and if the task involved fundraising, contestants had to be careful to save their big donors for when they were project manager.
The Governor’s catchphrase is super corny and funny. I am the only one watching in my peer group as my peers think that the Governor is a scumbag for his treatment of his wife, Maria Shriver.
This show would benefit from being an hour with 2 or 3 ,two- hour shows. I totally agree with TT on liking Porsha here and dish Nation and despising her on Housewives. Wish she would bring this tastefully dressed, savvy, and likeable side to Atlanta. She is doing well now, time to leave Super Thot in her bedroom. Just don’t show it on Bravo. Too much to ask? Probably. Kyle needs to stop bitching and be a project manager. Let’s see Her in action.
I am thinking Kyle is waiting for a fundraising challenge to jump in and be Project Manager. Just a guess that is where her talents lie. If Porsha could she would be Project Manager at every task.
Porsha been to the Boardroom 2 out of 3 times, guess it is a measure of success she hasn’t been eliminated. There are a whole lotta of men that need to exit so I am guessing the women are safe for a bit.
It’s like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde with Porsha. She’s extremely likable on Celebrity Apprentice and lunatic on RHOA.
Mr Universe. No contest for Donny. C Fir Someonan’t flex what the good lord didn’t give you or what you haven’t developed on your own. Arnold authored an encyclopedia based on self discipline as I recall. Totally.
Taj Mahal Atlantic City built by the sweat of the great unwashed or Arnold built by the sweat of his own brow?
Small point — I think “governor” may be an honorific held for life, even after leaving office, the same way that “President” and “Senator” are lifelong honorifics.
None of them are life long honorifics, mainstream media just makes it seem that way. The term is FORMER PRESIDENT or FORMER GOVERNOR. No actual former office holder other than Ahnold expects to be called that for life.
