Set the DVR and pour yourself a cuppa! It’s time for the season premiere of Ladies of London. Since the recap is going to be a little late this week, I thought I’d put up a discussion post to tide you by. Did anyone else watch the season one and two marathon? Remember Noelle and Caprice? Am I the only one who thinks we got an upgrade with Julie and Caroline? And are you ready for Sophie Stanbury’s accession to full-time Lady?
Hopefully this season won’t be all mouth and no trousers. I’m looking forward to lots of argy-bargy. Let’s see if the Ladies are knees-up and drop a clanger or two. Tally-ho!
This is my favorite Bravo program! Caroline Stanbury is so snobby I love her. I will miss Annabelle but at least we have Julie with the married family name “Sandwich”.
I love her too
Looking forward to this series coming back on. I like all the girls except the pompous blond b!#$% who thinks she’s the queen. The woman who lost her business last season. I know they need a “bad guy” but doubtful that it involves any acting on her part. I think she actually believes she is really that wonderful.
Also like you using the word “cuppa”. It takes me back 🙂
No Annabelle? Oh no!
Where are Annabelle, Noelle and Caprice? Why aren’t they back? Do you know?
Noelle & Caprice left (were fired?) after the first season. I didn’t even notice Annabelle wasn’t coming back this time & she’s one of my favorites (it’s a love/hate thing). She probably figured she was too posh for this crew. It really showed last season.
Wasn’t it noelle’s fiancé the one who killed himself? Scott. Safe to assume she didn’t come back because of that?
Yes that’s what I presumed also. Very sad.
Scott may have killed himself. It’s kind of unclear. Some publications in the UK are pretty convinced he was pushed because of his shady Russian business failures.
Noelle has long since moved on. She’s been through about six boyfriends since then, and actually had a baby with one of them just a few weeks ago (although they appear to live in different countries, so I don’t know her exact relationship status with the father). She’s also reinvented herself as a home shopping channel entrepreneur with some pretty impressive backers, so she seems to have found her niche career-wise.
Girl Noelle and Caprice been gone. Lol
I was surprised this show was back! I really liked it, but Caroline Stanbury moved to Dubai when her husband was transferred a few months back. I am wondering how that will be handled…I did not care for whiny Juliette and her paranoia about how she feels Marissa treats her. Looking forward to watching!
I have been binge watching for the past couple of days. A bit more wine and I will start sounding like Madonna. ?
Yippee!
I love this show, so excited!
I have such an addictive personality. I always think I will just watch a little and then bam I am suckered in and have to finish the season. Luckily I stuck to my guns in N.J. but the LOL I may have to take a season long peek! LOL
This is the only Bravo show left I’ll watch, love it. I will miss Annabelle though.
This is my favorite Bravo show. My daughter is married to a Brit and LOL has given me insight into some of his behaviors since I’ve not yet visited England.
I watched . Loved the different country.. made me realize women are the same no matter geography.
Thanks for the reminder! Looking forward to your recap.
Absolutely love this show! It isn’t like the others they confront head on as a group, but there are clicks!
I can’t believe none of the ladies went to the hospital !! Did they not realize she was in life or death peril?? They actually invite her to a brunch wtf??
The rules on visitation may be much different there.
Thank you so much for your wonderful recaps Lady C.
I watched three times and dozed off at the end both times. I had not opened this assuming it was a recap. Can anyone tell me if I missed anything at the end?
The last 5-10 minutes was given over to a confrontation that never really got off the ground between Caroline Stanbury and Julie (Caroline fumbled her words trying to explain why Julie’s loose-lipped thing annoys her, even Juliet’s attempted intervention couldn’t rescue her, and Julie seized on the opportunity to jump in and tell her she’s “insulting and cruel”; it was a surprisingly adept takedown – not at all like the Julie we saw last season). They then decided to round on Sophie instead, both attacking her for being the go-between, at which point poor Sophie started sobbing and ruined her make-up because she couldn’t understand why she was being attacked at her own divorce party.
Julie then walked away cool as a cucumber (she has a very odd gait, I noticed), and Caroline was furious because, in her words: “Mission failed. I wanted to make her cry.” One of the most honest, and most callous, moments we’ve ever seen on Bravo.
Thanks. I knew I should not have deleted it. I’m about three days behind on Bravo. Good for Julie for not being the wimp she was last season. I
m thrilled she is going to be the Countess of Sandwich or whatever.
Did we hear anything else about the baby and mother (sorry, I’m a bit groggy with the names). Are they both out of the woods since the delivery went fine? She’s the one with the hotdog stand right? Apologies for being so daft. I’m on some new meds.
The Sandwich thing is exciting. After the royal family and the Spencers, they’re probably the best-known aristos in the UK.
We did hear that Marissa was doing better, and in the previews for next week we saw that her and her husband Matt get to hold their daughter for the first time (I guess they couldn’t do this straightaway because she was so early). We also saw that Marissa is at a lunch with some of the girls in next week’s ep, so she must make a fast recovery. She is the owner of the hotdog place, and her husband Matt owns a really successful restaurant and nightclub group too. I like these two, because they’re both self-made and evidently really ambitious.
