This a been a very odd season of Below Deck. How the hell do you go from being restricted to quarters one week, to being promoted the next? Enough with this stupid “senior deckhand” crap. Kelley is the only exterior person who did not participate in the spring break party in the master quarters and now for some reason, he is the problem? Sure the dude had to wait on the beach for a few minutes rather than taking a taxi. This is what we call island time. It’s a an opportunity not a problem. This whole thing is manufactured drama.
Proving that this Dean character is a moron, he tells Ben to skip charcuterie. Never turn down charcuterie, idiot. Then he insists that Kelley and Nico sing him an apology song at dinner. Because, douche.
And why are there still tacky, deflated, balloons hanging everywhere? Why is Ben so obsessed with the ugly fucking flowers? Is it just me or is this the weirdest episode ever?
Lauren seems to be deliberately causing drama among the deckhands. Ben seems to be deliberately causing havoc with the interior crew.
It’s finally time to get rid of Dean and his young boy toys. At the tip meeting Captain Lee acts like this is the worst crew ever. They all make $2,300.
Kyle’s girlfriend Ashley shows up. She was not pleased that Kyle went out on a date with Sierra. Their relationship seems weird. Ashley tells Kyle that her surgery has been scheduled and she needs him to sign off for her to be discharged and promising to be with her 24/7. Kyle seems weird about it at first, but then says he wants to be there for her.
Ben asks Emily on a date and she wants to just hang out with the crew. Ben is mystified by her response. He also doesn’t understand why she is still trying to get her work done. Ben does manage to get Emily to have a drink alone with him on shore. Emily seems to sort of friendzone Ben. I think she really likes him, she’s just not sure that things will end in a relationship. Ben got a hotel room and invites her to stay with him, strictly platonic. She agrees.
And the next, and final charter of the season appears to be former models. Captain Lee is already calling them high maintenance.
