rhoa-kandi-and-ace

I have no idea how it is already 8 pm.  Between the mean girls of Daily Tea and the technical work I am trying to complete on the site, I am really not ready for any more bitching or crying or things to make my brain hurt any more than it already does.

We start the episode in the same cookie cutter fashion as every other episode. Tonight Phaedra, Porsha and Sheree will recap their version of last week’s episode while Kenya tells Matt her version of what went down. Sheree pulled her Porsche out of the storage unit for this scene.  Phaedra is proud to be out in public with camel toe. Matt is just irritating a fuck. He was filming with Kenya since day one and then a few weeks later he’s all up on Instagram acting all brand new like he rolled up to Moore Manor and was pissed there was a film crew there. Boy, please. Kenya seems to think he is the sane person in her life. Girl…. you in danger.  And Sheree is delusional as fuck.  Soon, Phaedra is going to come to the realization that she is doing herself no favors trying to be in the THOT alliance.

Kandi

Kandi, Todd and her assistants have a meeting at the Kandi Factory about doing some sort of block party for the opening of OLG.  That appears to be what we saw in the footage here.  That was just filmed two weeks ago.  During the meeting, Riley’s Dad’s girlfriend just struts right into the meeting claiming she just happened to be in the neighborhood.  Riley’s dad, Block, has gone years at a time without seeing his daughter. So Kandi is at a loss about what this woman she barely knows is doing in her office. The girlfriend seems to imply that the reason Block doesn’t see Riley is because of Kandi’s attitude toward him.  Oh.Noe.She.Didn’t.  Later Kandi’s tells Riley about the visit and she is not interested in the situation at all, especially since the girlfriend and not her father is the one bringing it up.

Sheree

I can’t explain this scene with Bob and Sheree at “Bob’s house.” Bob is sweating like a pig.  Bob is taking his fake interest in Sheree to the next level.  Sheree says the only hooking up she is doing is the electricity at Chateau She Can’t Pay. Why bother with electricity when you have no HVAC or kitchen appliances?  I heard about this scene about Bob joking about moving into the correctional facility with Sheree but I was under the impression it was in the kitchen at Chateau Thelma.  Weird.

RHOA cynthia

Cynthia

Cynthia and her mother and Malorie get together to support Cynthia through her divorce. Malorie announces that she has spoken to Peter a couple of times recently. Malorie says that Peter told her that he misses his wife. Well, Peter, when you move to another state in the middle of your marriage, that’s sort of par for the course.

THOTlandia

Meanwhile in THOTlandia, Porsha tells Phaedra about rekindling her relationship with the her ex boyfriend because she wants some of his sperm. I suppose that will work out fine since the kids he already has emancipated themselves from him because he’s a deadbeat dad who is allegedly on welfare. At least she won’t have to worry about him trying to stick around. And he gets a free trip to Maui and a room at the Four Seasons to procreate in.  She claims that Todd, the ex boyfriend/future sperm donor is “a lobbyist.” Is that what you call someone who sits in the lobby of the welfare office waiting for an EBT card? Because honey, that’s what the streets are saying around here.  Porsha is talking about him being a great father to his two kids who are 14 and 16.  Okay, I just went to reread my previous post and here is that clip from Industry On Blast. It does claim that Porsha has no idea that Todd is a deadbeat dad. Because Porsha is dumb and the last thing she needs to do is procreate.

Industry on Blast  claims that Todd Stewart, who is Porsha’s latest “boyfriend.”  is seeking visitation of his two children ages 17 and 15 who petitioned the District of Columbia Court for emancipation in 2014 and want no further contact.

Word is they [the kids] have not spoken to Todd Stewart in Two years after he was closely involved all their natural lives and their relationship ended in a screeching halt once they left the home of his parents in DC where both boys lived mainly while Todd traveled. Most recently they heard she might be trying to have a baby with their father meanwhile he offers no support to either teen nor attempts any contact except through court petitions to their mother. Evidently he doesn’t want to appear to be the total dead beat dad that the boys have proclaimed to DC courts most recently. His oldest son Toren has a promising football career and is currently being kept by his brother who coaches and Todd’s Father who is a notable man in DC, Willie Stewart.

Meanwhile Todd has always pranced around with NFL players after a failed football career as a TERP but has finally hit jackpot with Ms. Porsha Stewart who has no clue about his estranged sons nor has met them although loves her new Bae unaware of his questionable past as a dad. Can she remain a RHOA with Todd since on record In DC he is on Welfare and makes well below the poverty line and can’t pay anything for support, he lost custody of both children in 2014 after his parents were tired of raising his kids. Maybe that’s whose EBT card Porsha was caught with in ATL!!

Porsha and Todd in Maui
Porsha and Todd in Maui

Later we meet Todd at a Krav Maga class that Porsha is taking. I assume she is there to improve her skills for her next violent beat down. Genius move, Bravo.  You can tell these two don’t know each other. Porsha claims she dated him when she was 22 at that time, 13 years ago he would have already had the kids. She claims they reconnected when she was on  a press tour for Dish Nation in DC. I believe that is where she spotted him for the first time and cast him as her future baby daddy. Todd says he doesn’t just want to make a baby for her. He would want a relationship. And you know a roof over his head and a joint credit card.  So they will continue to negotiate terms.

Kenya

Matt and Kenya are driving to Cincinnati for Matt’s family reunion. Kenya pleads with him to just let her buy them two first class tickets and they can be there in an hour, but Matt thinks the car ride will be a bonding experience.  I totally expect Kenya to fly her ass home when it’s time to come back.

The meeting with Matt’s parents, sister and five year old niece is extremely uncomfortable. Kenya basically answers the mother’s question of “What are your intentions with my son?” By friendzoning Matt and calling him immature. This doesn’t seem to sit well with the family.  Then Kenya sort of backtracks to say that she would not be sitting there with them if she didn’t think there could be some type of a future.  Kenya picks up the check.

At the reunion we see a sweet scene with Kenya dancing with all the little girls in the family. It’s kind of heartbreaking knowing how much she wants a baby girl of her own.  Then Hallison, Matt’s sister pulls her aside to talk to her.  She’s very skeptical of the relationship. Kenya is really emotional talking to Matt’s mother. She sees her as a mother that is choosing her when her own mother did not. Is it Matt’s mother that is the draw in this relationship?

RHOA 7 sheree Kandi

Kandi and Sheree

Sheree is the most delusional woman on planet earth. She talks about how Bob was the issue with the divorce when she knows it was all over the news that she appealed her divorce settlement all the way to the State Supreme Court and lost all the way up. She spent the vast majority of her divorce settlement on lawyers and even they had to sue her to get paid. This woman loves dragging people to court even though she has never won a case in her life. It’s shocking to me how she can just sit in lie. I saw her do it on the witness stand under oath.

Kandi cries telling Sheree about Block’s girlfriend coming over. This is an odd person for them to pair Kandi with.

Then we get a scene with Block and Kris with Lena and her husband, RL. Now I understand why Lena is out. This right here is what lost her a peach. Why the hell is she filming this scene talking about Kandi’s daughter? Kris says that Kandi has shut Block completely out of Riley’s life.

While Sheree and Kandi are talking, Kandi mentions that Porsha has slept with Block, as well. Of course she has. It would be easier just to make a list of who Porsha has NOT slept with at this point. Kandi says that Riley would reach out to her dad and they would make plans to get together and he would not show up. She also says that when Kandi was pregnant he called her and told her he didn’t want to have anything to do with the baby. Kandi is crying hard when she tells Sheree about that call. She says she told Block that was fine with her because she will make sure her baby has what it needs and that he will need her before she needs him.  So much family angst today.  Kandi talks about Riley back when she still wished she had a father.

Next week looks like more tears. And it looks like the Bravo cameras went to LA with Cynthia when she went to stay with Leon!

I want that filter Kandi and Sheree are using for my real life face….wait, is that them…yah. They look good; their hair looks great. Thanks for the cap; don’t subject myself to the actual show, but I do have a blast reading your version.

Good episode tonight, happy Kenya and Matt’s sister we’re able to put aside there differences about what’s best for Matt. I can’t believe some of the things block was saying and Lena was definitely the voice of reason and had kandi’s back. She really deserves a peach over Sheree, Porsha and Phaedra who all 3 are forcing bs storylines for the show. Carlos did Lena dirty and picked his favorites for this season.

Carlos didn’t do Lena dirty…He’s the showrunner not an executive. Showrunners can put in their two cents on creative and provide direction for the show but he has other people to answer to. I only say that because I don’t think Porsha is one of his favorites… Claudia Jordan was one of his favorites, Kandi is one of his favorites but Porsha, no. I honestly think its just that her salary is budget friendly, if you know what I mean lol.

I also thought Lena was very supportive of Kandi. She challenged Bloc several times about his version of events vs what really happened. I wish Lena had received a peach as she seems interesting. Can’t wait to see what happens with Leon and Cynthia next week.

Belle, I grew up in Atlanta and oddly enough now, I only live about 30 minutes from the peach. You are right, they have used it before. I always remember passing it when I was little and on my way to visit my grandmother. I used to call it, “The big tushie with diaper rash.” 🙂

I am bothered by what Kandi is revealing to Sheree. Her daughter may “know” her dad is a deadbeat creep, but she doesn’t need to hear specifics about how he didn’t want anything to do with her when her mother was pregnant with her.

IMO, it’s never OK to trash a kid’s parent. This type of behavior can destroy a child (am I right TT?!). This is part of the reason I can’t bear to actually watch the RH shows anymore–I keep thinking how these poor kids are gonna be affected forever– the babies on up to the YA’s. It’s gonna happen to ALL of them and, it’s happening to some now. *Parents are supposed to be the role models* for their kids, and expose them to the best environment possible. This is critical! IMO, this has little to do with being rich or not, I mean come on, we all recognize a good Mother when we hear one. We can spot a shitty one pretty east too. But for the RH gals, it’s my old argument (I heard that–no worries, no spiels) that having the BURN to be a Fame Whore is a sickness as insidious as the plague. People are giving up everything, even their children, in order to become……infamous.

It is never a good idea to trash a kid’s parents PARENTING skills within the kids hearing. Sorry – gonna say shit about some people even if they have children.

Yah, sorry I didn’t proofread, totally my bad. I meant to say something more like this: “IMO, it’s never OK to trash a kid’s parent when the kids can hear it OR trash a parent to the kids themselves”. I surely did not mean “not trash them at all”. Aw hale no.

Say anything you need to, IMO, in any situation, just leave the kidlets out of it in every situation. They’ll find out soon enough what life can be……

Great recap, TT. Sheree’s “correctional facility” – perfect. I hate to see the Kandi/Block/Riley storyline. Too personal and hurtful for Riley. What’s with Matt’s family? They didn’t read the news on his rages and the sister is wondering if Kenya is good enough for her brother? I wouldn’t of taken that car trip either. Funny Kenya’s dogs humping in the backseat.

Oh, and Mama Joyce needs to STFU. Child support is not paying for your right to see your children. The two are not connected. If the courts take away all your visitation, you still have to pay. The converse is true as well, as if you are not or are unable to pay child support, you still get to see the kids.

The Sheree and Kandi scene got me hard. I have a very young daughter with a deadbeat dad who lives about fifteen minutes from us. He’s never tried to see her. I cried.
On the other hand, poor Riley. That is some really hurtful personal shit to have the world know. I don’t ever want my daughter to know or hurt over things he said/did.
I may be taking this far too personally, but I wanted to scream when Block was talking. You’re a transparent asshole. I might be projecting (just a bit) I don’t want to hear anymore of that storyline, though.

I’m enjoying this season so far. Cynthia always practices such restraint in front of the cameras. It seemed like she held herself back from saying what she really wanted to say when Mallory told her what Peter said. The Kandi/Block/Riley storyline is a little painful to watch. I know it’s a tv show, but damn Kandi can be so damn messy putting too much out there.

I’m disappointed reading this about Porsha’s future baby daddy Todd. He is extremely handsome. Oh well. I think she should choose a man with no children anyway. Kenya and Porsha both desperately want children. Shame they can’t get past their issues since they both can definitely relate on that topic.

I don’t blame Matt’s sister for grilling Kenya. Kenya painted Matt as an abuser. If what Kenya said is true then she doesn’t need to be with Matt because he has anger issues. If what Kenya said is not true then she’s a liar and bad news for Matt. Either way its toxic, unhealthy relationship.

Good job on Lena for calling the deadbeat out. She was asking him about what responsibility HE takes in the situation, how has he been there, etc.

Is that what they call DC welfare beneficiaries? Porsha needs a slap on her head for sounding soo crazy. Her scenes with Phaedra has become soo dry, I have to take mental breaks.

That joke BOB made about Joining Sheree in a Correctional Facility….led me to believe that scene was JUST TAPED after her Court date Last week….
Also, Phaedra looked a Hot, Boiling, Still Cooking on Medium Heat Mess in that back-out black whatever it was she had on.
Lastly, I DONT agree with Riley’s dad being a Storyline. As a Daughter, Especially a Black Daughter, the LAST thing Riley needs is the Public shame that teenagers at school will inflict on her saying “Everyone Saw your Dad doesn’t care about you”.
That was sooooo NOT cool of Kandi.

This recap made me sad. Like others, I have felt pain from bad or broken relationships.

Sounds like Cynthia is affected by the divorce more than she is letting on. I wish her happiness and good luck for the future.

I used to like Kandi, but to say on national television that your child’s father never wanted anything to do with the baby? That is WRONG. I’m sure, of course, that Riley is well aware of how her father feels. The rest of the world does not need to know this.

Children should be off limits in these shows. In my opinion.

I felt so bad for Cynthia. I really think she is so sad but she is handling it with such class. I know there is a lot of nastiness from the triple threat there but these ladies so far have been behaving not so bad.
I do not like Sheree. There is something about her that makes me have willies. I don’t know why. If I was a dog I would bark at her. LOL
I have to say I think Todd is just so cute with the baby. He is attentive and sweet. Love to see a Daddy being like that. Just cool.

Matt’s sister needed to have several seats, talking about she’s concerned for her little brother. What?! I think she’s jealous of Kenya and her concern for is fake.

Porsha and Kenya are both beautiful women, however; they choose men who are immature and from all appearances have nothing to offer besides their sperm. Maybe both women should consider adoption. JS

Block sounded like a world class idiot. It’s obvious he has no intention of taking responsibility for the way he treated Riley – promising to visit her and then changing his mind. And telling Kandi he wants nothing to do with their child is inexcusable. Next preview looks like he’s being more of an idiot.

I like the Leon (since he appeared in the movie – Five Heart Beats), so it’ll be nice seeing him next week. As for Cynthia: I’m happy she ended her marriage with Peter, but she comes across as if she’s not sure of herself or who she is. IMO

Hope Phaedra receives a real story line before the end of the season, and Sheree get clear and honest with self re her housing situation.

    Thank you for the recap.
