I wasn’t even going to recap this today but I thought I should at least give you a bit of what sort of irked me about the whole thing. I’ve already deleted the show so I’ll just hit the highlights.
First of all Wendy and Siggy are quite fond of each other. I would say they are friends, but they are not. Wendy doesn’t have many friends. Just a couple here and there she has known all of her life. She is a lot like Kim Biermann in that way. Both of them are very tight with their families and don’t entertain guests and rarely go out with anyone except their husbands. However, this was the seventeenth time that Siggy has been on the show. It was her first time on the couch. Previously, she had been part of a panel or the “relationship expert.”
I really started out this season of RHONJ with an open mind when it came to the two new women. After watching the season I don’t see that either one brings a lot to the show. I do find Dolores likable. I can’t say the same for Siggy. I actually fast forward through her scenes when I am running behind. I don’t do that when recapping any other show.
Wendy told Siggy that she doesn’t think she is a good fit for reality TV. Siggy says that she is the best person ever to be on RHONJ. Oh, yes she did. She says that she doesn’t like that RHOBH gets to be classy (making it abundantly clear she doesn’t watch RHOBH) and that Jersey always has to be rolling in the gutter. She is the beacon of light. She is classy one. She is doing God’s work. I don’t remember her exact words but that was the gist of it. Oh and she seemed to be comparing herself to the ever so klassy Lisa Vanderpump. Then she said that the RHOBH could not afford the taxes in New Jersey.
Siggy went on and on about how she is the person who is not interested in fights from six years ago. She doesn’t want to rehash all of their issues from when she was not around. Except she does. She must have forgotten under the hot lights of the Wendy Williams set that she inserts herself in every altercation. Then she makes it about herself. Then she cries.
Yet on that Wendy couch she could not give herself enough accolades about how great she is on the show and how she (and sometimes she would include Dolores) were the best thing to ever happen to that show.
