Last week on Chapter 6, My Roanoke Nightmare was a massive success during its run, attracting 23 million viewers. Spurred by its success, Sidney, the network executive who produced it, pitches a new idea entitled Return to Roanoke: Three Days in Hell where the reenactors and the real world counterparts are brought together under the roof of the Roanoke house for three days during the blood moon. Sidney reveals that his motive for producing the follow up is to expose Lee for the murder of Mason. The real Shelby Miller is reluctant to participate in the new series but is convinced to do it by a chance to reconnect with her estranged husband. As part of the new series, the lives of the reenactors who portrayed these events are explored. As the crew prepares the house for filming, strange events begin to unfold. As the series commences, the reenactors begin to get a taste of the true horrors within the house. It is revealed that that over the course of the new series, all but one of the participants died in the house and that the series never made it to air. The first victim was Rory, the reenactor who played Edward Philippe Mott, who was murdered by the two nurses. [SOURCE: Wiki]

It seems that the actors in the reality series will all be picked off one by one! Who will die tonight?
Shout out to the lovely Lady Cocotte for the perfectly sized photos and to UF for the cool promo below! Y’all have fun!
So, because of family stuff I have been way behind on my AHS. We had a torrential rains here over last weekend and I binged, ate, drank and had the best time for myself. Saw my hubby on bathroom breaks. LOL. This has been so good. I cannot wait to get home and see for myself what is going on. Is there anyone better than Kathy Bates? The woman can play crazy and kind like no one else. So many good people on this show except for one…not crazy about Gaga. But I can put up with her to get the rest of the phenomenal actors. Thank you for recapping and for giving us a place to chat. I read that GAGA was supposed to tie in as the original supreme and this ties in with my favorite COVEN. Can’t wait to see how that plays out.
Last week’s episode was really interesting with the set up and the satire of reality shows thought it was well done looking forward to tonight’s episode great writing and cast I was a little bored at the start of the season but now I’m hooked. Great plot keeps my interest going
I feel the same Karebear.. last week I got hooked ! I almost gave up a few shows in but UF told me that everything would change on episode 6 and it did. For me, I became invested in the characters and that is what sucks me in every time.
My source from someone inside the AHS production team posted this a few minutes ago:
“Tonight’s episode is littered with clues concerning Season 7. Pay very close attention. The first two clues are in the opening scene before the AHS title. Pay very close attention to detail!”
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I never seem to catch those clues…
My source posted the clues today and here they are verbatim:
– In the production truck at the beginning of the episode, on a table…there is a doll. It’s dressed in a specific manner.
– The camera shows FPS being 23.976…but this has a double meaning.
– 2/3/1976
– The reveal of the real Mama Polk is a pretty good clue.
(This was posted after the doll clue so I’m not sure if this reference to Mama Polk is connected to the doll clue.)
Thanks for posting this ! You always have the best A.H.S. tea !
Okay.. I will pay attention, but I never notice shit! MY GIRL LEE HAS A GUN !! I’m rofl ! Love her so much.
How did you like Cuba Gooding Jr. referencing Aviva?
First they reference Big Brother and now Real Housewives?
Worlds are colliding!!! #Seinfeld
My source says Finn Wittrock was in this episode. Though we didn’t see his face I’m sure he played the part of his ancestor Edward Mott as the roaring ghostly being in the tunnel.
He played the Polk with the camera.
Man there is NO MERCY in this season.
No long suspenseful drawn out scenes where you wonder if the character is going to die or not. It’s just wham bam stab slice bludgeoned death for ALL when it is their turn to die.
Truly horrific episode and I LOVED IT! This is what I want from AHS. I felt the terror and fear when they were lost in the woods and tortured by the Polk family…. and forcing the cannibalism is an OMFG moment. I couldn’t believe the Polks seasoned her leg like a pot roast.
And Agnes fate ends with the Butcher’s knife down the middle of her head? Poetic indeed.
What were the clues? I couldn’t find any. I’m watching again. Kathy Bates is scary but the real butcher is terrifying!
I don’t know yet LisaPat. I haven’t seen or noticed anything to indicate a clue. I’m currently clueless lol.
Kathy as the Butcher “I just wanted to be on television.”. Wow didn’t seem to impress the real Butcher one bit lol.
I love Sarah Paulson but her English accent is really grating on my nerves, it’s just too Mary Poppins. I thought she would be better…unless her character is pretending to have a bad accent and she’s really from Long Island?
Righ?!? I can kind of seeing it at the end going: “…Hello…. My name is Judy. I played Agnes/the Butcher in ‘Return to Roanoke’ and also The Butcher in “My Roanoke Nightmare.” LOL
It’s been driving me crazy!
Out of all the most absurd things I watched tonight, the most absurd was the real Shelby swinging a crowbar and bludgeoning Matt to death violently after she was attacked & sliced on her neck and back by Agnes.
I thought it was more absurd to find Matt doing it again with the original supreme. And he’s in love with her and that is the real reason he came back? Is the original supreme trying to get pregnant? Is she real or a ghost? I am confused but totally loving this season.
I still feel like there might be another twist such as this is all still a re-enactment and that they are ALL ACTORS creating a show to fool the public…. Basically just mocking reality shows to show that viewers are idiots that believe everything they see on tv.
Maybe you are right.. because for her to kill her husband like that, that seemed odd considering that she was the one who cheated. I didn’t hear who he was in love with either.
He’s in love with Scathach, the ghost-witch that he has now had sex with 3 times (that we know of). How does that make him innocent of cheating?
I thought he was under some type of spell when he cheated. Are you serious? He’s in love with one of the dead ghost? This has to be a reality show in the end. That makes no sense.
Some people are saying that Finn Wittrock was one of the Polk brothers. I need to go look again.
YES that was Finn Wittrock playing one of the Polk brothers at the 9:37 mark.
I still think that was FW playing Edward Mott’s ghost in the tunnel. I bet he plays two characters again like he did in Hotel.
I have an hour yet before I see the latest. This season is twisty as hell.
When you thought the butcher was the butcher but she wasn’t the butcher because the real butcher showed up and butchered her ??????
This is why you are amazing!!!
Okay, I read too much from UF.
I rewatched season one, here piggy piggy, and croatoan.
I wonder why they pronounced croatoan the way they did? I’ve never heard anyone here acknowledge the second “o”. We say it like Croatan.
LMAO LOL my friend just texted me to say The Butcher looked like Bette Midler in Hocus Pocus.
Who the f played the real butcher?
This episode is effing awesome.
Okay, Kathy Bates, Agnes, must I say more.
Just give Kathy Bates the damn Emmy & Golden Globe and every other award. Watching her fluidly change personalities & accents between Agnes & The Butcher was probably the best performance of her career. Also bravo to the writers for coming up with the old world Celtic dialogue that she brilliantly & convincingly delivered to the screen.
Agree! And a very difficult accent to master. It was a cold contrast to poor Sarah.
I LOVE this season. This is the first season to make me actually have nightmares. Last night I woke up 3 times from a terrifying dream. This is American Horror Story. Reminds me of Aslyum, that’s may hands down number one season. I too am curious about the clues. I didn’t notice anything….then again, I spose that’s the point…
Clues for other Chapter 1 posted by my spoiler source:
-Matt is a PHARMACEUTICAL salesman.
-The paintings behind Shelby while she waits for news about Matt’s condition.
-Matt’s truck license plate GIS9232. GIS is a military acronym. 92 & 32 are coordinates. 9232 translated to letters creates IBCB.
-IBCB is another acronym linked to the coordinates. The coordinates are somewhat of importance.
Clues for Chapter 2:
-Bradley University
– “we were railroaded”
-A patient named Una.
At this point I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ANY OF THESE CLUES MEAN. If you have any ideas about their meaning or importance please share!
Chapter 3 Clues (about Season 7 I think).
– Art found surrounding Matt, Shelby and Lee in the police precinct after they found the Polk boys.
– Cricket’s mention of the Utah Desert
Chapter 4 Clues
– “I Can Hear Your Heartbeat” was on The Partridge Family Album, released in 1970. This clue has several meanings.
– October 3rd, 1952
Someone left a comment under this and wrote ” On this date the United Kingdom successfully tests a nuclear weapon to become the world’s third nuclear power.”
I have more clues to post but since not one person has commented on them I will save them for the next chapter discussion.
I believe we are all lost as to what they all mean. I’m in the UK waiting patiently for you to help me make sense of it all. I love this series but I kid you not when just come here and read your comments in am always like “how did s/he (I’m not quite sure and it’s not relevant) see that or know this!!! I’m in awe.
I love all the fun stuff on AHS this season, and there have been many OMFG moments…..and I look forward to watching it and all…..but…I can’t help but think…all the talk from the network & showrunner, and the tricks with multiple-themed, season 6 trailers, and now it’s “a show within a documentary within a ghost story within SOME sort of global, family AHS Tree” thing, weeeeeeelll…….it’s a shtick that’s getting in the way of actual storytelling…….I’d rather see a well filmed, well cast regular Ghost Story with perhaps a few clever moments, but the filmmakers keep THE STORY as the most important thing…I dunno….I suppose this means I’m getting old, dammit anyway.
