This housewife’s inexplicable longevity on a certain show is more complicated than viewers think. Aside from the obvious to all from the south that she is a FRAUD. It is easy to see that one influential gay man is enamored with someone he may or may not have had contact with prior to his prison stint.
He continues to have interaction with that man’s son (son? aren’t there supposed to be two???) on numerous occasions that go above and beyond what he has done with the multitudes of other spawn on “his” franchises.
But this chick is GOOD.

A couple of yankee housewives have been there but she is the only one from the show her that boss considers a “monkey act” ( quotes from those in the know) let in. Somehow misogyny and racism is just written off by black women when it comes to this guy.
My sources say this dude is dying for a “Big Three” network position as a host. For one thing there is no big three anymore. And he really wants to cohost with his “good friend” but my sources say he will never work in daytime TV. And while he salivates for it he is BEGGING networks for night time TV hosting gigs. But he has done himself in according to my sources.
Anyway, this blind is not about him. It’s about the putrid excuse of a mother who successfully wormed her way into her boss’ apartment WHILE UNDERCONSTUCTION! I wonder what happened there? Probably something unholy. This bitch is trying to set herself up to be the next, Al Sharpton.
And that sort of goal tells us all we need to know.
Expect to see her on next season’s show. Some is dumber than a box of hammers and it ain’t her. But we are laughing at him more than ever in the ATL.

Cohen has definitely said on at least a couple of occasions that Apollo is the house husband he’d most want to hook up with, so that makes the most sense. Unfortunately, even as a southern lover of “sweet tea,” I’m only a moderate consumer. I afraid I’m not in the know and have no clue what “monkey act” refers to, though given the context, I think I have a pretty good idea of what it alludes to. Interesting but also kind of creepy.

Here is a made up scenario. Host hit it with housewives husband. Host can’t fire housewife or else she will expose both of them. Housewife can get anything she wants from host, even an invite to his apartment and a secure spot on the show. Housewife is smart enough to have a vm or 2, maybe some video or texts. Just much imagination working outside the box.
Things that make you go hmmm… The way it’s described by TT, Andy seems to have “known” Apollo before Phaedra was cast on the show and before his first stint in prison, which alludes to the idea of Apollo possibly having been a “professional”.
Honestly, this is all too much to process. At first I thought it was that Patricia woman from Southern Charm. Then I realized it was Phaedra. All of the other gory implications make my stomach turn.
The fact that Phaedra compared Glenn, Tami’s “nephew” from the Miami fiasco, to Mike Brown tells you all you need to know about her and how she herself really feels about black people. I also think that Andy is a self-hating gay. If you look closely at his shows not only is his hatred of anything with a vagina perfectly clear, but also is his nasty racism, and what I interpret as his homophobia. For example: Why allow Kim Fields and her husband to be humiliated that way? He (and Carlos) could have prevented that. Why only include token gay cast members in all of the shows, where they’re portrayed as little more than gossipy fashionistas and mean-spirited clowns who mostly serve as walking talking accessories to the women on the shows? It makes no sense.

He’s not really banned, just won’t ever get the gig. He sucks at daytime. He was not good when he guest hosted with Kelly. Andy was actually so much better and likeable before he found fame with his show. Unfortunately, he took a wrong turn when that was successful. He needed to act more grounded and less like a frat boy. Grow up a bit.

The reference to Al Sharpton and the other talk of racism makes me think that perhaps Phaedra set Andy up by weaseling her way into Andy’s apartment (under construction ~ maybe she did sexual favors (something unholy) to get inside in order to plant false “evidence” of his racist views, and is using that to blackmail him.
CORRECTION: The officers and other men accused were never charged with sexual assault. Grand Jury chose not to indict due to evidence supporting the 4 defendants’ claims that they were victims of s setup. DNA testing was not involved in this case.

I googled it, and it seems that Missouri is a confused state. Parts of it are southern and parts of it are Midwest. Maybe that’s why And is so messed up.

The only parts of Missouri I would consider part of the “South” would be the “boot heel” region situated between Tennessee and Arkansas, and the counties along the Arkansas border. Most of Missouri would be more Midwestern and would have more in common with IL, Kansas, Iowa, etc. Making it part of the “Heartland.”

I notice people from the Northeast think any state East of Colorado and South of Michigan are “southern” I’ve even heard some Northerners claim that Ohio, Indiana, PA, Maryland, West Virginia, or DC part of the South. Some of those states are closer to Canada than they are to Georgia or Alabama. LOL
I’m from the Northeast, but when I googled I was going by who fought on what side in the civil war. It seems the state was used by both sides during the war. Also, on the results page, there were sites that were asking what Missouri considered themselves and it seemed a mixed bag when I scanned them.
I just don’t know how far west you have to go, to not be considered a yankee or a southerner.
As a Kansan, I will say without hesitation that Missouri is Southern. Missouri was a slave state, and Kansas was a free state. There were skirmishes back and forth across the border just before the Civil War broke out, culminating in the Lawrence Massacre. It doesn’t matter that this much time has passed, Missouri is Southern. Period. 🙂

I don’t consider Phaedra good TV. Her first couple of seasons she was the comedic relief of the show. She didn’t fight, with the exception of a few catty comments we could always count on Phaedra to make hilarious faces and have cute commentary during the chaos. It was refreshing. Most even here liked her.
But when Kenya came on the show she totally lost her mind and lost her marbles. People started to see a new vindictive and bitter side to her. She is so jealous of Kenya it is just ugly to witness IMO.
Phaedra was no longer the comedic relief of the show… she just turned really ratchet and nasty. Plus her teaming up with Porsha and wearing two piece bathing suits with her flabby gut hanging over the top, then her sad attempt to be a female version of Rev Al Sharpton completely turned a lot of people off.
Last season Phaedra had no story line other than being Porsha’s side kick. Sheree got more camera time than Phaedra did and Sheree wasn’t even a main cast member.
Phaedra needs to go. Her act is stale.
Totally agree with you. I used to love her faces and Little quips. I found them, while rehearsed, very funny and comedic relief like you said. Then she became real and ratchet and I’m over it.
I consider Phaedra to be a lot like Lisa Vanderpump is on RHOBH. Phaedra is very strategic about who she befriends on RHOA. Her first season she wanted to be the comedic relief and not be in the “fray” with the rest of the ladies. However Nene came for Phaedra calling her out for marrying an ex con, and claiming she was not how she presented herself.
Then, when Nene claimed not to know Phaedra is Athens. Phaedra tried to get revenge on Nene. She is one of the people that championed for Marlo to be on the show because she thought Marlo would go after Nene for dating Charles Grant, a man Nene was having an affair with when she was married to Gregg *ALLEGEDLY* cough…
Nene also said (even though those clips never aired) that Phaedra brought Nene’s half sister onto the show (the sister does NOT like Nene) and filmed with her.
I see Phaedra as someone that plays “chess” like Lisa Vanderpump. When Kenya did the workout DVD it pissed her off. She used Apollo and helped him cook up the story of Kenya trying to sleep with him to make Kenya look bad. She dropped Kandi like a hot potato to cozy up to Nene. She realized Nene knew that Kenya was becoming the main attraction on RHOA. She also used gullible Porsha to go after Kenya.
Kandi says that Phaedra always did things to make herself look good on camera. She used Nene and Porsha to say that Kandi was not being a “good friend” during Apollo going to prison, then when Kandi would confront her she would pretend like everything was fine.
Phaedra seems very manipulative and when she gets mad at people she tries to make them look bad on the show. She strategically befriends people.
She’s good at it too. She got Nene to be her mouth piece to go after Kandi season 7.
This makes perfect sense as to why Andy would be so nice to Phaedra, Andy’s dislike of Kenya and why he seems to adore Jaden. So….Apollo is bi?? This is a soap opera.

I’m dating myself here, but when Phaedra screws up her face she looks so much like the old-time black comedienne Moms Mabley. I don’t know how people can stand to be around her with her fake Southern mannerisms and the way she speaks so slowly; however, when she gets really pissed off, or thinks something is hilarious, the real Phaedra comes out, and there’s NOTHING of the Southern lady about her! Cannot stand her and don’t like Andy much more. Nothing to do with being gay – he’s just so damned full of himself, and doesn’t recognize boundaries with his questions and comments .
