Bethenny Frankel Lets Us Know She Does NOT Have Cancer

RHONY bethenny new hair

If you enter the Lion’s Den, you can expect to see a lion. This is Bethenny’s response to the introduction of fresh meat, Julianne Wainstein, to the cast.  You would think the two NYC Jewish ladies would hit it off (I realize that is not PC, save your keystrokes).  Bethenny seems to be irked by the fact that Julianne doesn’t work and has access to all the money she wants. At least that is Bethenny’s perspective. Jules is former businesswoman in the fashion industry who opted to stay at home and raise her two kids ages two and five. She also has a big role in organizing events  for the Women’s International Zionist Organization, a non-party international movement that raises money for schools and programs for women and the elderly in Israel.  She’s not exactly sitting around eating bon bons and day drinking. NTTAWWT! Bethenny should understand that stay at home moms are not to be disparaged.  Mothers of all incomes choose to sacrifice their careers for their kids (and husbands.)  I admire stay at home moms.  I think that Bethenny will probably just haze Jules for a bit and they will end up fast friends.

Bethenny shares with ET that her medical issues are a couple of issues related to lymenopause her reproductive system. I’m betting that she needs a hysterectomy because of endometriosis. She may also have fibroids, but I don’t think her level of concern indicates just a fibroid surgery. I also think whatever it was, she already had the surgery. I heard somewhere that she hired people to nurse her back to help and wherever I heard/read that the slant was she didn’t have a close support system with anyone who could do that for her.  I think even if  I had 99 sisters with nothing better to do than step and fetch for me, I’d still hire people I could send away when they annoyed me.

Bethenny also will be dating on the new season. I can’t wait to see that. I hope it is not just one guy. I want to see her date a different guy every episode. She also  says she cannot wait for the divorce to be final.  I don’t think that is going to happen anything soon, but hopefully in 2016!

Am I the only one excited for RHONY?

I like her haircut! Glad she is OK. I don’t think I could handle yet another season of someone dying…or not dying. Or faking…or not faking. Enough is enough.

Andy can stop beating that dead horse now.

Her mother sold a story to the Star or Enquirer I believe. I read it in the check out line at the grocery store. I have no idea if the magazine fabricated the story or made it up, but her mother says she has fibroids. She also said that Bethany loves stirring up drama and made the medical “scare” sound like she was terminal.

Tamara, not sure I can write this so please delete if I broke the rules. Sorry if I did.

So exited for this season. I think RHWONY is the funnest in the franchise. Side note, I like being a working mom, but its a personal choice. No one should judge one way or the other.

Her Bravo bio says she Japanese and Jewish and apparently regularly refers to her dual ethnicity.

I was a stay at home mom for the several years with my second child, but was otherwise working full time. There seems to be a silent war btwn. working and non working mothers. In my opinion, being at home was just as hard as working full time; perhaps even harder being on 24/7. If I could have afforded to stay home full time with my kids I would have. I co-sign your admiration for stay at home moms, TT!!

If given the choice to work at a job-job, or stay at home to take care of a family, as a woman, I would sooooo choose the job-job. A wife and mother’s work is NEVER done. It’s not just cooking and cleaning. There’s also dressing, feeding, and checking on both your children AND your husband. You’ve got to basically take care of other people better than you would ever take care of yourself.

Shopping, running errands, keeping the house in order, making sure all the bills are paid, dealing with phone calls, teachers, homework, packing lunches, doctor’s visits, etc., etc., etc. You’re the butler, maid, personal chef, personal assistant, secretary, accountant, lawyer, and so on for every member of your family. And that doesn’t even cover those 9 months of misery carrying each child and everything that does to your body. Whew! I’ve got myself exhausted just thinking about it.

Yes Minky! 9 months of carrying them than a year nursing them with sleep less nights! You are spot on though.

I just realized recently how completely wrong it is that I can’t sit around all day eating bonbons and day drinking.

Okay, I just googled this Jules lady. Um, I can see why Bethenny, and maybe a lot of the other cast members, would haze her real good this season. She’s totally gorgeous. And she looks smart. I know that sounds ridiculous, but she has an intelligent-looking face. I guess we’ll see whether or not she is smart on the show.

Love RHONY. Not really ready to suffer through Sonja’s delusions of grandeur again, but missing the rest, even Ramona. Kinda meh about the “at least I’m pretty” girl. It’s kind of ridiculous to rag Bethenny about hired help. How many of us have family/friends that could drop their jobs, spouses, kids, lives, especially for more than a day? I work part-time, love the flexibility for my kids, but I’ve worked full-time and also been a stay at home mom. As a stay at home mom, the school, church, community organizations called on me plenty and would have kept me running every day if I had let them.

Ooh, the mommy wars. The working debate is right up there with breast feeding and co-sleeping. I put my career on hold for 6 years to be home with my kids. Now I work outside the home part time and as the kids get older I’ll transition back to full time. Some women make great stay at home moms. Some women could never make it as stay at home moms. Many moms don’t have a choice. The way I look at: I’ll raise my babies and you raise yours.

I’m looking forward to NY too TT…always one of my faves no matter which HW’s are on it, just for the locale of NYC

All the working or non working Mom stuff is so ridiculous to me.

Hiring help to take care of you during a recovery would be the best. I would love it. They would actually do what you tell them to do instead of what they think you should do like some crazy family members. If you’re not giving me what I want then you’re not helping!

Thank you TT!! I am a stay at home mom and its the hardest job I have ever had! I am college educated but we chose for me to give up my career and stay home! Yesterday I think I sat down once. Other days its not so bad 🙂
