Tamra Barney and Vicki Gunvalson were both injured yesterday while filming a RHOOC trip to The Algodones Dunes in Glamis, California. Both women were sharing a dune buggy when they lost control and rolled it several times. Vicki was airlifted out and both were sent to the hospital where Tamra was treated and released and Vicki was held overnight for observation.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the accident happened in Glamis, CA around 12:50 PM Saturday … when the Polaris RZR the women were riding in rolled over multiple times. A camera crew for “Real Housewives of the O.C.” was taping at the time, and according to sources connected with production … Tamra was behind the wheel.
We’re told Vicki was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. She was released early this morning with no major injuries. Tamra was also hospitalized, but released on Saturday. Both women were transported mostly out of an abundance of caution. We’re told neither was was in grave danger.
Vicki was just in Atlanta for an insurance meeting last week and flew back to California on Friday for a weekend trip to the desert. The good news (other than the fact that everyone is okayish) is that Tamra and Vicki are back together! YAY!
Heather Dubrow posted this morning that she was grateful for her family. It sounds like everyone left the filming site earlier than expected. I wonder how much of this they will show?
While I have your attention, I am starting to wonder if Shannon Beador quit RHOOC because of Vicki or got let go? She is probably filming but she has been oddly quiet on social media lately. I mean she’s still on it but not like Jac Laurita on it if you know what I mean.
She and her family went to Mexico for Easter and they are just now coming back from a weekend with David and the girls. If she was on the trip she took everyone with her a la Kim Fields.
I should probably look in into this. But right now I am late to recapping RHOA Reunion.
UPDATE! VICKI JUST POSTED THIS!

Glad to hear that they’re both ok.
Glad to hear they were okay. Those dune buggies are really scary. I almost tipped on one once. Will never ride again, that’s for sure.
Oh dear! I’m glad they are OK.
Novices ~ no bueno!
Oh my gosh this brings back horrible memories! I hope there are no long term effects from this!
My immediate thoughts were as follows, I love Vicki but she goes into batshit crazy fits on any vehicle on a vacation so all I can imagine is her screams and gagging sounds echoing across the dunes. Then I thought please don’t let “tamra tried to kill Vicki” become the theme of the season. Glad they are ok
Ha! I didn’t even think about the “Tamra tried to kill me angle.” You bet she will be holding this over Tamra’s head!
Oh I love when my comments make you laugh…heck I will be honest and just say that I get excited to be acknowledged by my favorite celebrity!! This whole ordeal cold even make Vicki some extra dimes by creating new insurance coverage for when your best frenimy causes you to exit a gathering by life flight.
I am personally hoping Shannon is still in her my husband had an affair story line because I need the cameras there for when David has his breakdown and tried to jump out of a window like senator ravenal in the southern charm trailer. Thank you queen tt for making my night
So true Jen!
Lmao jen. That was my first thought too. As i read this i could hear in my head vicki’s shrieks and whoo whoos turn into gurgles and gags as the vehicle spun out of control. I wonder if they will air this. The sound effects would make it worth watching alone.
Oh my gosh! The it wasn’t our time was a bit dramatic but glad they are ok. How awful.
Should have been in a “Little family van”! Too soon?!? Ok, then I’m glad they’re both going to live.
LOL
Has Brooks been questioned regarding tampering with the brakes?
Ooh, yes please! Luvs me a good Dateline Mystery, especially if Keith is narrating.
If so, we know he’d have all the fake documentation (misspellings and all) in order before pulling a stunt like that.
