The Lovely Claudia Jordan Returns to Our TV Screen Tonight With “The Next :15”

The Next 15

Claudia Jordan’s latest reality series, The Next :15  premieres tonight on TVOne , y’all! First of all, if you are like me and don’t think you have TVOne, check again, it’s been added to a lot of packages lately. On Spectrum, it’s channel 863. I’ll share another way to watch at the end of this post.

I have been really missing  Claudia on RHOA this season. It’s sad watching Team Pretty fall apart without her. Apparently, she was the glue that held them all together. But Carlos King wasn’t ready to let Claudia go and more or less built this show around her.

Here is the official PR on the show:

The Next :15 follows the lives of 6 reality stars long after their television debuts have come and gone.

Claudia Jordan of Real Housewives Of Atlanta fame is exploring new opportunities in the media world. Jennifer Williams is leveraging her stint on Basketball Wives into a co-hosting position for an online talk show. The Real World: Philadelphia‘s first out, gay cast member Karamo Brown is cultivating his career in broadcasting. Basketball Wives‘ Laura Govan is exploring her creative side by authoring children’s books. Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta’s Benzino is balancing fatherhood and helming the ship of “Hip Hop Weekly”, and Flavor of Love‘s Tiffany “New York” Pollard is spreading her sass and charm in the acting world.

They decide to embark on a group project that will give each of them the opportunity to shine in their area of expertise, but all of these big personalities in one room are sure to cause conflict. Will they rise to the occasion and get things done? Or will they succumb to reality stereotypes and quickly see their 15 minutes of fame fade out?

The “group endeavor” mentioned is a radio show with Claudia at the helm.  But first, on the very first episode, a focus group is held. The cast watches a group of random folks discuss their opinions on the cast members. It’s not pretty.  It’s a lot of the trash talking that people do on social media. But this time, they have to own their shit talking because at the end of all their spewing the cast walks in and calls them out on their comments! That sounds fantastic

I think this show has a good shot because it pulls cast from several of the most popular reality shows.  Also New York is fresh off a Celebrity Big Brother  UK  gig and my Twitter timeline was full of love for her and angst over her being voted out when the time came. New York thinks she is the Queen of All Things and the trailer shows major ratchet conflict between New York, and the real Queen.

We also get an appearance by Cynthia Bailey on the show. I doubt we will see the rest of Team Pretty as Carlos King has love for Porsha and I don’t think Kenya is that cool with him. Don’t quote me on that, but that is my feeling on the situation.

The Next :15 premieres tonight at 9 p.m. on TVOne and reairs at 10 p.m. and midnight. I’m recording the midnight show because I have a Felon by Bravo on a book tour and that means two dates with her tonight. If you get TVOne you will have many opportunities to catch a rerun. But if you are a Cat or some other species with limited TV access, you can catch the first episode on the website, and it’s already up waiting for you, not. It looks like the link had been taken down from the website. It will probably be up after the show airs. You can check back at the TVOne website here.   Or check for it on YouTube.

Thanks, TT! I hadn’t heard about this show. Now my dvr is locked and loaded. Carlos King is very annoying, he is patterning himself after Andy and inserting himself into the show and the drama. The less Carlos on camera, the better. Hollywood Divas was a hot mess but very entertaining though, so this show should be pretty good too.

Will be watching for the incomparable New York. LOL She’s a mess and a menace and I love it! There will be fighting w NY, Claudia and Laura as she is also a brawler. Jennifer, bless her heart, will be devoured by the other girls.

Bwahaha! TT you’re hilarious! Real Queens don’t have their peaches snatched after one season. They do however have 4 different reality shows in one year with many other offers pouring in. You go New York!

We fell in love with Tiffany in the UK, although I’m not sure anyone knew who she was prior to her appearance on CBBUK, so she wasn’t pre-judged

O m g I can’t wait for this. New York is the human embodiment of VH1 nostalgia gold. I imagine Claudia will catch shit for this, but I think it’s going to be entertaining nonetheless.

Listen, I did red carpet interviews last night at the premiere party. I got the BEST drunk interview with Claudia ever! Really fun girl, and she totally could have done and said more while on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show.

girl…. I have spent so much time on my premiere recap. It’s coming. You might not love it. It’s taking forever because I’m trying to give some back story on the other people that some may not know here. Karamo seems to be your biggest advocate!

It’s going to be interesting to see how Claudia gets along with Jennifer and Laura, who were both Nene’s bri-maids!! Carlos King is hella messy for putting them on a show together!!!

I’m totally here for New York, ESPECIALLY if they bring her mom on!!!! Hate or love her, she will be queen of this show. Mark my words!!

I am just not a Claudia fan. I thought this show would give her a chance to redeem herself. I like Jennifer and Claudia seems determined to pick a fight with her. New York is a very big annoying personality to have to deal with. I watched her previous shows. It will interesting to see how Claudia deals with her.

Tiffany has a huge fan base, even the Daily Mail due to her Celebrity Big Brother stint. She has given plenty of entertainment and quotes. The best one being when she lusted over a housemate “I’ll be waiting with open arms, open legs and an open mouth”. LMAO!
