Nene Leakes Interview Talks About Her Visit to The View And Much More

Nene in Chicago

Okay, I really want to share the video I am going to put below the cut with you. But first, I need to say that the interviewer appears to be deaf. For real. So you may be a bit distracted at first. I know I was. But I think if I was prepared, I would have been able to focus sooner.

So click through…It’s over all a really interesting interview with Nene worth the watch.  And we learn that (possibly?) deaf people call it Bra Way as well. And we also learn that Nene is just a “black mama from Atlanta” who don’t want to start no mess wit nobody.

Hmm. Sounds like he’s either deaf or he may have a speech impediment. I’m not making fun of him but whenever he spoke it was really distracting. You can tell NeNe corrected him when he said, “Bra Way”, instead of “Broadway”.

My 5 year old niece attended special pre-kindergarten school last year, through the public school system for speech classes b/c of a hearing problem. To my complete shock, her mother told me it was being taught by a teacher with a speech impedimate. Could not believe it!

My son has something called, “Auditory Processing Disorder”, he was interviewed by a speech therapist, probably in her late 20’s, early 30’s who spoke so quickly and without pause (we spoke over the phone) I understood about half of what she was saying and I’m from NY so I’ve been around fast speaking people all my life! I had my husband phone her back to see if he could do any better-unfortunately not.

Slice, if you can’t ask for a new therapist (and she might be great) ask that you meetc in person and/or that she follow up in an email summary. If your son didn’t understand her either, let her know that none of you understood. Sorry to preach, but I am feeling frustrated because my friend’s daughter has a TERRIBLE kindergarten teacher this year, and she’s worried about being blunt and forward and impolite. … while I am ready to go to war even though I live 3 hours away (and as a former teacher I am usually on the teacher’s side… but the awful stuff I know about was from what the teacher said, not the kid!)

For someone that never asks for no water, no juice, nothing…why did she throw a DIVA HISSY FIT over a fashion show not having wine for her (because fashion shows never serve wine or drinks) and insisted her son sit next to her even though it was a reserved seat. He was told to move and she told him to sit right there and not to move. Her son is interested in fashion so she brought him along. But she is no diva. What she did claim to be was a character on a reality show, a GOOD friend and kind and nice and blah, blah, blah. Why can’t she just go awaaaaaay.

Someone taught Nene how to say Bra’way correctly. She annunciated the D very clearly & purposefully. I loved her description of holding “someone’s” hand at the view to show them she wanted to be friendly. Too bad Joy didn’t appreciate it.

LOL I noticed that too. I only got through about 45 seconds but it was enough to see that gem.

Hey TT, I noticed she referenced the fact that she was asked last year to be in Chicago, but chose to do Cinderella instead. Was that when Wendy W. was Mama Morton?

Was that a scripted interview? I see what Nene is selling, I’m just not ready to buy. It’s like she’s being groomed. She was less turnt up and animated but no less delusional. She has gone from acting the fool on a “reality” show to blaming what she portrayed on that show for her being misunderstood while throwing reminders that she is not the to mess with. I get the sense she’s trying to change people’s perception of her because she is starting to realize how ridiculous she’s been acting and not everyone was impressed.

So even when she’s trying to be mature people still come down on her?

I’ve seen this self-serving act before. I didn’t buy it then, not buying it. I will admit maybe I’m being petty and unforgiving but Nene gets no credit from me for her poor performance of attempting change. I will say I am happy to see her experience at The View gave her something to think about and shook her up a bit.

I’m not with you! I want her to just go away. Her rich b$tch status is slowly diminishing so now she wants to be looked at differently. SHE’S nothing but a fake.

Yeah I’m just not over her diva antics of the last several years. This one interview is not gonna do it for me. I want to see her humbled, and I can tell she’s not – she’s just toned it down a bit.

I’m with you Kyla and The Artist. This interview was as fake as she is. Nene is trying to do damage control, but she can start with apologizing to those she has wronged.

I think it has been apparent for several years that someone, Nene’s management probably, is working on getting her to be less ghetto. She is very obvious about it like when you get a new vocabulary word and are told to use it in 3 sentences. She used to want to be a diva, now she understands that is usually a negative description. She is just so darn obvious about it all and preaches like she is the expert on proper behavior she just learned. The woman is just out of her element. Instead of being gracious about her opportunities, she always makes digs at someone and brag on herself.

This particular interviewer seemed to pose every question that would give her opportunity to complain and address the stuff she has already talked about several times this week.If this guy wants a career, he needs to do better. Barbara Walters didn’t get famous by asking the questions that had already been answered to someone else. If he has any disability, all the more reason he has to improve. Barbara had to be better than the others because she was a woman, a minority.

Hahaaaaa…..I don’t need press or publicity, but here I am doing a long assed interview.

The questions were weird. Is there a difference between “Cinderella” and “Chicago”? Seriously?

You sound like a complete stan callimg Kenya a Queen. I honestly don’t get all the Kenya is so pretty and Kenya is so intelligent and she speaks so well. Like she is the only black woman to be that at one time. It’s insulting. She has faked boyfriends, pretended she wanted to have a baby and made sure she has had an argument at most gatherings. I think you need to find a new queen.
