It’s time for another episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta and I feel like I have sleep 90% of the time since the last one. I think we will see in this episode that Kenya Moore reevaluates her position with Sheree Whitfield. But the relationship I am most interested in at this point is the one between Phaedra Parks and Kandi Burruss. I am dying to know if the Feds came and picked up Apollo’s toys from Kandi and Todd’s garage. That is a very interesting situation.
Oh lawd I am already tired of seeing Phaedra Parks on my TV screen. It looks like the religious hypocrite is going for some sort of baptism at a place called Clean Start Total Body Cleansing. It’s going to take more than that, Phaedra. Okay I am not about to watch Phaedra and Porsha get colonics. No mam. Sorry.
We catch up with Kandi and Todd in their PJs in bed talking about Kandi’s conversation with Phaedra. Todd says that Apollo asked him to store his toys. It has nothing to do with Phaedra. Todd is also still waiting on his check.
Leon comes over to Cynthia’s to discuss Noelle’s studies. Cynthia lets it drop that Peter has not contacted her in over a week. Really, Cynthia? You’ve got to know what all is going on in Charlotte. It’s everywhere. It’s time to seriously consider divorce. Cynthia appears to still be homeschooling Noelle so they have to hire a teacher for that. I thought they were only going to do it for one year? Whatever the case, Cynthia and Leon are doing a great job raising Noelle. I saw a recent episode of David Tutera’s Celebrations where they had Noelle’s 16th birthday party. Noelle is a very sweet young lady. It occurs to me that Peter might not have been there for that show. That’s odd. There is never a camera that Peter doesn’t want to get in front of. Perhaps I just forgot that I saw him?
Oh! Cynthia explains that Noelle is being homeschooled because she wants to do acting and singing. The homeschool tutor is kind of cute and that makes Cynthia nervous.
Leon says that he has seen the video of Peter with another woman. Cynthia says she has pretty much checked out on the situation. Leon tells her that she needs to fight for her relationship and pursue every possible route to reconciliation before she walks away.
Later, Cynthia tries to call Peter several times, but he does not pick them up. At the end of the episode we have a scene with Cynthia and Peter. Peter just turned up back at the house after a ten day absence. Peter is a dickhead but I am one of two people in the world that thinks he is kind of hot. Nene is the other one, so I know I’m wrong.
Cynthia points out that she uprooted her whole life to move from NYC to Atlanta for him and then he decided all on his own to open a bar in Charlotte, North Carolina. Sidenote: Peter’s eyes are bloodshot as hell. Peter keeps saying that nothing is his fault. Cynthia says maybe she just isn’t in love with him anymore. Cynthia says she doesn’t even know if they are still compatible. Peter says he never stopped loving her. Peter has tried yelling. He got nowhere. He tries crying. I keep getting distracted by the staged countertops.
Cynthia says they are headed toward divorce. Peter says he doesn’t want to get divorced. Cynthia agrees to give the marriage one more shot.
Porsha does a relay race for charity. Kandi is tasked with showing up. Here is the real time tea when this was filmed on August 1st. Kandi and Porsha talk about Duke. Kandi seems to know Porsha is making a mistake.
We finally see Kim’s house where she is getting ready to go out with her husband to Kenya’s party. Kim’s husband Chris is a mess. They are both thrilled to have a night out without the kids. Chris says that Kim doesn’t have friends. Why is there a dining room table on top of her living room furniture? It’s very odd.
Kenya is working on an infomercial for her hair care line which she will debut at her launch party. Marlo is there to help Kenya with her party planning. But these two start talking about Sheree. Marlo talks about them getting together with her to help her get some money together. Kenya says they can throw a rent party like on Good Times! In her talking head, Kenya says she and Sheree got started off on the wrong foot and “we all know Sheree’s got bad feet because she is out in the dirt fields behind her house all day.” #Shade
Brandon sighting! Brandon is on site trying to keep the party preparations going. There has already been ten minutes of keeping the room cool. I don’t know why they insist on doing too much with the foreshadowing.
Kandi shows up and lets us know she is BFF’s with Shamea. Porsha and Shamea are slamming Kenya for having water in her product bottles because she has no product yet. Kim arrives and is starstruck by Kandi. Kandi has to leave because it is way too hot and she’s pregnant. Phaedra shows up looking like something out of a 1970s Blaxplotation movie. Sheree arrives and everyone is surprised that she showed up
to be on camera to support Kenya.
Kenya has an escort named Eugene, one of many men she will be dating this season. I think this was basically a one and done friends kind of thing. Eugene has a bit of a skin issue and Phaedra could not let that go by. Phaedra says she is glad Kenya finally met someone at the dermatologist. I admit I may have laughed at that one. Someone had to write that for Phaedra though. Miss Lawrence shows up to support his girl.
Kenya steps out to get some air because the room is hot as hell. Her date tells her she has to get back in there. Kim Fields is trying to make friends and asks about everyone’s husband. Phaedra says, “My husband is in prison.” And the look on Kim’s face was priceless.
We get a quick glimpse of Claudia who only stayed there for a hot minute.
Damn, now someone is writing for Sheree’s talking heads. She says she had a fashion show with no fashions and Kenya had a hair care launch with no hair care products. Shamea came for Kenya about the water in the product bottles. And that is the beginning of a season of bad blood between Kenya and Shamea Morton (and Porsha).
Kenya and Sheree have a talk. They try to make up but not before Kenya gets Sheree to admit she has had fines from the county. Sheree says they were for erosion. Sheree is trying to blame bad contractors for the delays. Yep, all those different contractors who quit. The one thing they all had in common though was expecting to be paid on time. Kenya and Sheree call a truce.
Kenya’s hair launch was an epic fail and the editors did her no favors. She got all the air time, but it wasn’t flattering air time.
Sheree is working a peach job with no peach pay this season. That has to suck.
Next Week: IS THE LANIER TRIP! I CAN’T WAIT! See here for what really went down!
