Kyle gets a new dressing room and Mauricio gets a new workout room. Faye Resnick did all the decorating.

What do you think?

I love it. While I don’t really care for the exterior of Kyle’s house, I have always loved the “feel” of the interior of her house and her decorating/organizing style. The remodel looks great. I’m no real estate expert but I would think they significantly increased the value of the home with that remodel for if and when they decide to sell.

The only thing I’m not crazy about are the “jewelry” chandeliers, but I do think it fits fits Kyle’s personality and flows with the rest of the decor. Can’t wait to see the new gym when its all done!

I do like the exterior, so California. The exterior fools a person into thinking they are entering a mid-size home then blows them away.
    I like the subdued exterior.
Also liked the grey (?) wood ceiling.
    Hope it wasn’t white.

I love the outside, but the inside seems really choppy. I’m all about the flow of a house and hers seems a bit off.

I guess I’m not nice, but I can’t help but wonder if she has a taste of closet envy? Just saying because I’m sure I would! Thanks for a post that gives us a minute to smile in a day that has been so filled with tears. Prayers for France, and for us all.

Oooh lol! Possibly! I get the impression Kyle has been trying to enjoy her life and all the riches that come with it a bit more! I don’t blame her!

I guess Kyle must like different shades of purple.
I agree with other commenter that it seems “choppy”. Where is that open space feel?
I agree with liking the outside, it’seems nice.
She should have used Jeff Lewis.
    Sorry!
    OK??

It’s lovely I wouldn’t say no to it. As an interior designer I’m not impressed by most of the HW interiors – especially all the brown and beige and mock Mediterranean looks you see in Jersey and atlanta – for me nobody but nobody can beat Lisa vanderpumps drum and I have to give a special side mention to Yolanda too

Yes! LVP’s home is exquisite, pure perfection to me. I love Yolanda’s view and the famous fridge but not even close to Lisa’s with the interior design, IMO.

BTW, as per Kyles house, I love the exterior and a couple of the rooms decor (formal living room and her kitchen) but overall I’m not that impressed. I find it choppy and not open and flowing as someone else had commented.

Totally agree Guccinara. If I see one more Mediterranean style house I’m gonna hurl. The problem with a lot of these home designs is the fact that they’re poor white trash copies of the original homes in Italy and France and Spain that have inspired them. I like modern design, muted colors and wide open spaces. And no clutter! I’m a big fan of functional designs too.

Kyle’s house is lovely, but it’s still a house that’s trying too hard. To much stuff all over, and too many flashy personalized accessories. Monogramed seats in the movie theater? Those ugly mirrors? Really. That being said I would love a work out room.

Kyle is a truly gorgeous natural beauty, I’ve got to say. And she’s looks like she’s lost a bit of weight.

What do I think? I think I love Kyle but can’t stand Faye Resnick. Sorry. In a bad mood from all the crazy going on in the world. This all seems so unimportant. I am trying to get my head in a better space by coming here. Will try to be more upbeat before commenting again.

Riley, check out Faye R. book. It was written just after the OJ trial and it was a good read. Its a short read with good
photos. It’s was a very long time ago that I read it, so my comment is from memory.

Love the house, inside and out. I think Mauricio should keep the chandelier. The King and Queen pillows were hilarious. I wonder how long they will stay in it, though, with all the girls moving out. Is it just two at home now?

lisamia, Kyle has two children under 18. Sophia who is 15 and Portia who is 7. So yes there is only two kids left in the house but if you consider Portia is one of them, I’d say it would seem like more. That little girl would keep you on your toes. The King and Queen pillows would be better at my house since we really are the “Kings” lol. It’s not my favorite style of house but I wouldn’t turn it down if someone gave it to me.

Portia does seem like a lot of work! 🙂 She is so cute, though, I’d probably be guilty of spoiling her rotten, unlike how I raised my gorgeous sweetest little girl in the whole universe. 😛

Not the design or design elements for me. In my opinion the interior doesn’t reflect their level of wealth. It has a very common look and feel that can be found in any upper class home and nothing that is really outstanding or unusual. I was very underwhelmed by it all and disappointed.
That being said, Kyle seems to love it and that is all that matters.

    $1.5m for THAT??? Uh, no.

I’m one of the few Faye Resnick fans in the world, but this was an awful redo.

No, I had not one ounce of closet envy. It was cramped and tacky. If you are going to use an entire room as a sitting area/dressing room don’t cram it full of crap.

    Not impressed.

Also, I don’t think for a second that they paid $1.5 for that redo. No way. I think it’s an ad for interior design for Faye and was almost certainly comped.

Edit: Maybe I shouldn’t have said “Faye Resnick fan” and instead used “Faye Resnick supporter”.

I hope she does okay and I’d like to see more of her on RHoBH. She’s a straight shooter and reads people very well.

Faye Resnick is an absolute bottom feeder & sold out her best friend for fame & fortune. None of the money she made off of that book went to any charity (as she claimed a portion would ) & Nicole was a very supportive friend to her during her addiction issues. I would never do that to anyone much less a best friend!

I love, love, love the exterior of their home and like many in LA it is deceiving on how large their home is (but my family and friends in LA certainly do not live in pricey neighborhoods like Kyle’s). I do have closet envy and this has motivated me to clean and organize my 2×4 cost space. I think my little home gym in my unfinished basement looks good enough…it serves my purpose for working out. Faye may not be the best person but her design esthetic is cozy upscale chic comfort and I like it.

Absolutely loved it, and can see that they have some real estate smarts based on the return on investment they could potentially have on this home. With 6 girls, I could see why you wouldn’t want a 7000 square foot house to be completely opened. Frankly, I was shocked at hearing how much square footage. The home seems very cozy in a lovely way and is one that seems comfortably lived in. That appeals to me personally, as well as it seems appropriate for a family that has six children. Unlike some of the other housewives, and I’m talking about all of the franchises, you seem to have showcase homes that I could see their children getting into trouble for simply leaving their homework backpack in the hallway. Whereas with Kyle’s home, I could see a photo of the family room with a backpack artfully displayed on a table or in a corner to show that a family lives here. It would fit, as would a picture of a child doing her homework on a dining room or kitchen table.
