Blind Item: Production Blindside

blind item

Normally on reality shows, production is doing a good deal of plotting and cajoling to get the most explosive scenes possible and to plant seeds of distrust within the cast.

But there is production, and there is production. Each reality show has a network production team that overseas the production team that actually is responsible for carrying out the day to day filming schedules.  The network folks have the ultimate control but generally let the boots on the ground make the decisions about day to day filming and how the storyarcs that the network wants to see come to fruition. For the most part, the network suits come into play more in post production when certain storyarcs are feature and others may be completely obliterated. Sometimes even obliterating a particular castmate all together.

But recently, the network producers completely blindside the production company for hire on location.  Absolutely no one knew that a former castmate was going to make an appearance.  Including the show runner.  And the show runner only found out hours before filming.

That is because the show runner and the former castmate have vowed not to work together  The show runner, was irate. There were many hostile conversations between the show runner and the network suits. The show runner wanted to leave (again) and stop working with the network. However, the local production company also has another show in the works with that network.  They are also working on a show with a competitive network that the owners of the first network may be about to purchase.  So everyone has to play nice.

The result is that a show that both the network and the production company have in common was finally given the green light at a very strange time. The show in question was not expected to push for several months but it is now receiving a lot of attention.

My sources say this is all related to the incident with the former castmate showing up to a filming scene unexpectedly. The new show moving to the forefront is the result of a peace treaty between one boots on the ground production company and the NYC suits. So one little filming stunt has worked out very well for the disgruntled show runner who know has back to back seasons on the network.

Agree, Carlos and Nene. The other show he has on now is that new Atlanta real estate show on Wetv or some network about that popular. All I could watch was 15 minutes of it. Sheree’s germ of an idea that Carlos ran with, as per TT.

Could Carlos be producer of the new Potomic House Wives? It seems like he does the Black people centered stories.

The WeTV show Selling It In The ATL is unbearable. I was expecting to see classy, professional women. I honestly can’t believe someone is trusting these women with multi-million dollar deals. Totally not what I was expecting for a show about real estate.

That is really disrespectful to Carlos that he was kept in the dark.. unless she promised the powers that be that she would apoligize to Carlos. If shes smart, then she has to be trying to make amends with some of the people she terrorized for no reason.

I just don’t see how Nenr has such sway with Bravo suits. I don’t think she deserves the credit for RHOA. I bet equal amounts of people dislike and like her. Maybe it is only important that we feel anyway about her. She sure hasn’t been very nice to Andy. Maybe that is why he likes her. Verbal spankings.

I will admit, none of the rest of the cast has gotten her kind of jobs in NYC and Hollywood. I guess I just am baffled by that industry. Apparently, I am not a mainstream opinion.

I do not understand how RHOA is the highest rated franchise. The women are not particularly intelligent or exceptionally beauty’s, no family heritage, not even interesting family’s on a personal level. (unless you count Mama Joyce)

I don’t see the interest any longer.

Well, like someone said the other day, it’s like watching the WWF. We all know it’s not really real, but we suspend our disbelief. Also, these women have no qualms about behaving like a bunch of famished alley cats fighting over the last sardine. It’s awful, but let’s face it, most of us probably have nice quiet lives, so this is where we get our kicks.

my life has been a F***ing ness for a few years, HW’s were my escape. I do escape into TT’s past posts, very cool reads.

I use ID TV now as my escape mostly. I often wonder what I did in a past life to be where I am today.

My belief is that African Americans will watch RHOA and not any other city. So in addition to the audience of the other cities, you have that demographic. If there were diversity in the other cities there maybe an increase in their ratings.

Rob has been saying that the ratings for Atlanta have taken a hit because Nene is no longer on the show. I tried to point out to him that perhaps the ratings have taken a slight hit due to the craptastic stuff that went on with the OC. I personally know a lot of people who are boycotting bravo all together over that. Naturally Rob does not care about my opinion and I know that he lies a lot so nothing was resolved.

Some of us (ahem!) are in the closet about keeping up with this shit and sneak in to TT to be in the company of fellow addicts. Maybe the blog should be renamed TT’s Closet.

Jerry Springer has been #1 for over 20 years if that gives youany perspective as to who people love to watch Rhoa. But, I do think the women are beatiful . Khandis life for one is so intriguing.. tragedy after tragedy. There is family history as well with Porsha’s Grandfather who was a leader in the civil rights movement.

Porscha’s grandfather was not exactly sterling in his reputation and the name no longer carries the significance it may once had.

Compare the RHOA to the other cities and the ladies look a lot better in comparison. OC looks have declined since they got rid of Alexis and Gretchen.

So many look haggard and anorexic. Shannon even said on RHOC that the smaller her ass the better. No wonder her husband cheated on her. What man wants a woman shaped like a 10 year old boy with a flat ass?

Yeah pfffttt Shannon is a moron. I am a member of the insufficiently assed due to a medication I have to take. I started thinking I had had a stroke because when I sit I list to the left. Then I realized that it’s because my tailbone is trying to come through the skin and I have to sit on one ass cheek at a time because it hurts so bad lol. So no, the smaller the ass the better is hogwash. I long for the days when I had a big booty.

Carlos, Nene, selling it in the ATL.. I’d guess the other Bravo show would either be RHOP, RHOD (I wonder if the Dallas wives are going to be white, black or Hispanic… Dallas has a HUGE Mexican population) or maybe the married to medicine Houston (or whatever they release it as).

All tea, All shade, but I have seen this particular showrunner in action twice now on two different sets….one show already on and another not yet announced… And I totally understand the former star. He leaves nothing to the reality stars to come up with on their own. He heavily directs them and I think the show is stale now because of it. Any little touch of reality has been gone for seasons. Very smart guy but needs to recognize that this is a formula for disaster and its the cause of people growing bored with reality shows.

makes perfect sense. i thought it was weird that three cities – RHOA, RHOBH and RHOP would all be airing at the same time at some point. i don’t THINK that has ever happened before. this whole Potomac franchise just came outta nowhere. that being said, is anyone else having difficulty saying “Real Housewives of Potomac” without giggling? i’m sure it’s a lovely place, but it just sounds weird to say.

I was surprised RHOP was starting so soon. Usually they like to build excitement for a few months before a show starts. Figures TT would have the T. Nene must have been a pretty big slap in the face. I’m glad Carlos got something out of it.

TT is laughing at our wrong guesses who is the true subject of the blind. I have no other ideas. I have no insider info in any way. It would be hard for Carlos to be driving several shows at one time, being he is so hands on. The timing seems like there would be overlap in filming. I know most women can multitask. I don’t know Carlos.

T.T on the other hand is extremely supportive of us & I am PROUD AS HELL to be just one of her many GAYS ! ♡ all inclusive ♡ go big or go homo!
