You might as well get the popcorn ready because the dramatic conclusion (ha!) of the Real Housewives of Orange County mercifully concludes TONIGHT, not on Monday in its regular time. This is great news for me since today is the first and it will get the blogging month off to a great start as we will only be outraged one last time about how brutal the other housewives are toward Vicki. Nothing makes you guys comment as much as these miserable reunions.
In this clip, it is clear that Andy is totally #TeamShannon as he seems to think that Shannon using Vicki as a listening ear to hear about the gory details of David’s cheating (imagine if we heard about his double dipping on her birthday, the level of detail she endured) amounts to emotional support for Vicki.
This poses the question, Did production instigate the attacks on Brooks and Vicki? I can’t imagine even these harpies taking things as far as they did with production whispering in their ears that Brooks was not sick. I just can’t believe they are that foul without encouragement. And if production was the impetus for this horrific storyline, it seems Andy has no remorse at all about it. Even the housewives seem to be considering several options about Vicki. She didn’t know. She’s in denial. She knew and she’s a liar. Brooks is sick but not as sick as they claimed. They consider many options other than the concept that he is sick and they look like cunts. I guess that one is too difficult for them to entertain. It would involve too much self reflection.
That said, Vicki apparently admits in this episode that she made up the story about calling Terry for an IV for Brooks in an attempt to get some sympathy from the other ladies. WOW. That is a bombshell. Will there be more admissions of lies from Vicki? I am so ready for this storyline to be over. No matter where the truth lies, at this point it’s all just disgusting.
I did love Vicki’s comment, “I was expecting a casserole.” It’s so very southern. I can’t envision any RHOOC arriving at the home of another with the traditional (for me) green bean casserole or plate of deviled eggs. It makes me smile just to think about it.
Also, after tonight’s reunion, we have Lauren Manzo’s wedding. I’ve struggled to keep up with this show (and Don’t Be Tardy) due to scheduling conflicts. But I am looking forward to that and plan to recap that as well. Get your wine ready and pour an extra glass for me, because my liver is in rehab until the Christmas season when I have plans to push its detoxifying limits once again.
A la tienne!
