It’s time for Couples Therapy again! Oh wait, it was actually time for it last night but I fell asleep during Empire and didn’t wake up until 15 hours later. I’m still exhausted but I want to see what foolishness I missed before napping. First, I have to copy everyone’s name over to the tags section, because I still don’t really know who these idiots are.
So as I was doing some formatting, I stopped the DVR and it landed on the shopping list. It sure looks to me as if this shopping list was all written in the same handwriting. On that basis, I say that #tampongate is completely producer driven. Who is shocked? Dr. Jenn comes to mediate the whole situation. Apparently, the way to handle the problem is to approach each of the ladies and ask them if they did it. If it was a joke, why would they not ask the guys if they did it? Why do we have know which females in the house are cycling and which are not? And of course, Janice is very offended that anyone would do such a thing. Which is a pet peeve of mine, being offended on behalf of someone else. Kaylin is the last person we ask, because, made up production storyline.
Kaylin and Joe don’t know, so how could either of them be the prankster? Kaylin did write tampons on the list, but the only reason it under Carmen’s name is because it was at the bottom of the page. Again, all storyline. What chick goes to live in a house for a week or two and does not bring alone some tampons. Such a ridiculous storyline, and production themselves is calling attention to the transgender person in every episode because transgender is the new drag queen. So now of course Carmen wants to discuss things in group so she can tell Joe.
But it’s not this big secret. Big Ang and Jaclyn are outside in the smoking area with Joe openly discussing things and Joe says that Carmen is sensitive, self-centered and self- absorbed and she personalizes everything. It appears we are supposed to believe that Joe still doesn’t know that Carmen is transgender. If this whole episode, or even worse, season is going to be about the transgender girl, I’m out. I’m pretty much overloaded on the whole transgender thing after I Am Cait, and the last super long season of Big Brother.
The focus of this session is the biggest threat to their relationships. Carmen says the biggest threat to her relationship is infidelity. They have both been unfaithful. Adrian starts to cry an says that at that time his mom at cancer and he had kids and they moved in to care for his mother. They were in a bad neighborhood and she was transitioning. His sister did not approve of their relationship. There was a lot going on. Dr. Jenn says that none of that matters and the problem is that Carmen doesn’t feel like she is enough.
Next up is Kaylin and Joe. Kaylin says the biggest threat is his girlfriend that he proposed to on TV. Joe told her during the show that he may have left over feelings for his ex. Kaylin told him to go explore that and see if that is what makes him happy. So he did. Joe asks Dr. Jenn if it is reasonable for him never to speak to the ex again. She says, DUH!. Joe really is a dick.
Big Ang and Neil. Ang says the biggest threat to her relationship is Neil. Neil is very sneaky. Big Ang seems pretty sneaky herself going through Neil’s phone and sending all his messages to her phone. She’s pissed that when she woke up the next day, all the messages were deleted from her phone. What is he hiding? Ang thinks Neil was going to get a hooker. Ang does not want to discuss her feelings. Ang doesn’t want to change. Dr. Jenn is coming down hard on the females this week.
I think group is over. Joe and Kaylin are talking about the other couples in a general sense. There is something very likeable about Joe. I get that he is a dick who thinks he is smarter than he is, but he really isn’t a dumb guy at all. I can see getting stuck in a relationship with Joe and having trouble running from the red flags. Joe wants to know what Adrian’s sexual preferences are. Joe does an impression of Ang who is sitting right there. Ang is in a tight T-shirt with no bra and her nipples are hard as rocks pushing through. I must say they are perfectly even. I’m jealous. I am surprised VH1 didn’t have to blur that! Ang feels the same way I do saying Dr. Jenn was yelling at her for answering her question about the biggest threat to her relationship. Joe is telling Ang he still keeps women’s names in his phone under guys names. Then he wants sexy time with Kaylin and can’t figure out why she is pissed.
The assignment this week is a maze game. Each couple is locked in a room and has to figure out how to get out together by following directions. It’s a teamwork test.
Janice just expects Rocky to do everything while she tells him he’s doing it wrong and to hurry up. Adrian and Carmen work together very well. Neil and Big Ang just bicker. Ang quits and just yells at Neil, muchlike the dynamic with Janice and Rocky. Joe doesn’t think Kaylin has anything to offer and basically just wants her to sit down and shut up while he does everything. Scott and Jaclyn have a serious of civilized disagreements. Carmen and Adrian got out the fastest. Janice and Rocky had to be let out of the room without solving the puzzle.
Dr Jenn has a one on one with Neil
Sidenote: In all of the general scenes so far, I’ve never seen Big Ang and Neil hanging out together. Neil tells a weird story about the phone incident that doesn’t even make enough sense to recap. And he supposedly sends Ang pictures of him with alcohol to make it seem like he is relapsing after they argue and she throws him out. It’s unclear whether or not he actually drinks. The whole theme of the session is that Ang doesn’t want to admit she loves Neil and he keeps trying to get her to notice him. The session ends with Neil wondering if he has depression. He has no meaningful things in his life and no ambition. Dr. Jenn says Ant’s constant nagging is contributing to Neil’s depression.
Joe is missing. He was picked up on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear at in court for domestic violence charges. Meanwhile, Kaylin may have a drug problem and need to go to rehab. Also next week, they take some weird sort of DNA compatibility tests and Janice and Jaclyn get in a big argument about something.
