Joe Giudice’s Interview on The Today Show

October 7, 2015 by tamaratattles 30 Comments

First, Cosmopolitan magazine calls the Kardashians “America’s First Family” on their recent cover, and now The Today Show calls the Giudice family “Reality Royalty” as they introduce an interview with one felon talking about another felon, who happens to be his wife, serving her time in prison.

Right off the bat in this Today show interview Joe starts with the whole, “I don’t know why this happened” story. Tamron, asks him if he feels he didn’t do anything wrong or illegal and he basically says if certain people had kept their mouths  shut  they would have gotten away with it. I really get the feeling he is talking about the Gorgas here. He also says being on TV didn’t help. They flash to a clip of Teresa paying a bill of over $120,000 in cash. Tamron says what kind of idiot goes on TV and flashes all of their stolen cash, but in a nice, interviewer sort of way.  Joe says that he didn’t want to be on the but that Bravo pestered them for a year. You know because Teresa applied and begged and pleaded to get on.

CHECK OUT THE DETAILS OF JOE’S PLEA DEAL HERE!

Joe seemed to think that his plea deal was supposed to keep Teresa out of prison. And it could have had Teresa not lied right up until the day of sentencing about her involvement. When Teresa was sentenced to time, Joe said, “I felt like somebody just snapped my neck. I felt the pain. The chill going down my spine: I couldn’t believe it.” Neither of these two have ever admitted responsibility for anything. Joe sort of says it was his fault, but then says all he did was sign his name.

CHECK OUT THE DETAILS OF TERESA’S PLEA DEAL HERE!

Joe denies that he is banging chicks while his wife is making friends in college. But he gets choked up when asked about being deported and can’t even answer the question. If we are going to deport him, what’s to stop him from just leaving for Italy now? I assume they have his passport. But a four year head start to life in Italy would be better than four years of hard time.

I can’t believe they are STILL living in that foreclosed house. I wonder if Bravo is renting it from the bank for filming? Something weird is going on there, right?  Tamron mentioned that she asked Joe whether she was getting paid for a Bravo interview when she comes out and she said that is her business. Actually, that deal was made as part of this interview deal before she went in. Bravo struck a deal for an interview going in and an interview going out while she was desperate for money. I think the $15oK was for both interviews with another $50K to be paid after the second interview.

With Teresa soon to be released, we might want to visit her supervised release agreement.

Wow! Joe looks bloated and beaten. He admits that this is all on him, not on Teresa, yet he is still blaming the creditors. It’s like he owns it, but then takes it back.
I really am kind of blown away by this. God, I think about their kids and I just feel sick.

Thanks for watching and posting, TT, so that I didn’t have to. I refuse to watch anything with the Guidices, just on principle.

So Joe is still playing “I don’t know why this happened” card. Was he not paying attention in court? This “happened” because they are freaking felons! I can’t listen any more to his talking as if this is something that just “happened” to them. This is something he and his felonious way CAUSED to happen. Same with Teresa. Jeez, stop whining, admit some guilt, and at least pretend to be sorry for what you did!

I realize that Andy is trying to squeeze every last drop of ratings gold he can from this pair, but I’m appalled that he hasn’t cut them loose. Maybe he feels guilty, knowing that the show only encouraged them to spend way behind their means. It’s kind of hard to feel sorry for them, especially with Teresa showing off and flashing 120k in cash. They’re crooks, and stupid to boot.

Andy has no guilt about anything housewife, he does not care about most of them.
I think he had two maybe three HWoBH he respects and a few from NY, that is it. The others are paid entertainment.

We Americans love to build ’em up and we love to tear ’em down. We also love a good redemption story. But someone needs to tell the Giudices that redemption requires some contrition first. That’s the problem with these two; there has been ZERO contrition.

    What absolute trash.

Maybe Joe is just waiting for Tre to get out of jail and home safe to the girls. Then he’ll try to flee to Italy. I’d bet he has connections to get the proper papers and such to at least make and attempt.

I would love for the whole infested family, inlaws, outlaws and all, to back to their homeland. Oh, and take the rest of the cast and Manzo with them.

It was refreshing to watch an interview not conducted by Andy Cohen. I love how Joe doesn’t think he did anything wrong, and that he was ratted out. I really wish though that someone would press them hard. I haven’t forgotten that Tre’s bankruptcy fraud charges and failure to report income were all on her. That was separate from the fake W2s.

I clicked on the Release Agreement to refresh my memory. And I thought how nice it would be if a part of her parole, that she not be on tv, in any shape, form or fashion. Now we’re talking punishment. For so many reasons. 🙂

If the government wants money then she had to be on TV. What else can she do?

How does he even pay the utilities for that mausoleum? Somebody is funding something. I looks like everything in the house is still in place, photos in frames, etc. Unless they just made it look like that for the interview. Can you rent a foreclosed property? Never heard of that. I thought they had been tossed out by the bank long ago.

He is either really stupid or is playing stupid. They were fully aware they did not qualify for those loans and were funding one with the next. The mortgage company doesn’t fill out the forms without your knowledge and your accountant or your “banker” is not going to say your wife is an “executive secretary” and attach her W2 forms unless you give those forms to them. Nor would any of these people “forget” to include the income from the books you wrote unless you neglected to tell them about it. All the information is provided by the applicants. So.Duh. They are using th old “deny, deny, deny” approach so popular these days and except for the prison terms it appears to be working.

I think foreclosure a take years to go through? I knew a family on our street that lived in their house for 4.5 years without making a payment. So upsetting to those of us that we’re paying 1800.00 a month to rent.

I recall the TV snippet for the upcoming 3 part special about using the Gucci (or ?designer) dishes. Those place settings cost as much as a small car.
Why are they still on the house.
    Something hinky with this situation.

I saw a preview clip of Joe’s special during Below Deck. It turned my stomach to see the three youngest being exploited (IMO) like that. Joe and Tre are just disgusting on so many levels.

I live in Jersey. It is AMAZING how long people can live in their homes here before they are foreclosed on… YEARS!!!! The court system is so backed up.

Off topic… My son’s team scrimmaged Joe Gorga’s team the other night. Joe was REALLY INTENSE. He seems like a great coach. The kids seem to really like him. After the scrimmage, our team left, but he had them running laps. I say good for him. He spends time with his kids. I did not see Melissa at the game, but then again, I did not look for her.

Joe Giuduce’s interviews.. all of them … are so frustrating. The law doesn’t apply to him in his mind. i am glad he will be going to college soon for a long time. I will not watch the show on Sunday but I will be sure to tune in here for the recap.

Great post! First, the Today Show lady’s black and white dress???… I want to get the big 32 pack of every-shade-of sharpies and color that dress one line at a time. That dress was amazing.

Second, Joe should go to prison just because he is such a complete boob. It’s so amazing that he still won’t admit fault, still blames other people and still doesn’t “know what happened.” It is fascinating to me that neither of them understood their plea deal before they accepted it. If I were their lawyer, I would have argued that they weren’t competent to even stand trial because they clearly are too stupid to even be able to make decisions on their own behalf or be able to assist the attorneys in their defense. Again, I’ve never heard of ANYONE who has agreed to a plea deal and not understood that they were agreeing to jail time!!!! It almost makes me wonder if they actually should have been found guilty by reason of insanity!!

Also- is Joe a psychopath? (Serious question) Other than not showing remorse for his crimes or even being able to admit fault, he doesn’t (and never has) show any emotion ever. Even in this interview, he wasn’t emotional or scared about the idea of being deported, he just seemed annoyed that this woman had come into his “famous house” (really Today Show? Ch-) and ignored his demands to not ask that question.

Finally, the 45 seconds they spend talking about how he doesn’t date, totally gave me the creeps. He is so disgusting.

    The end.
