Clemson Tiger Paw

Well my Bulldogs sucked today but my second favorite team, Clemson beat Notre Dame! GO TIGERS!  I totally wish I had watched that game instead. Alabama played a great game and we sucked this weekend.

Other than that, I watched all the 90210 crap on Lifetime and am now an expert on 9o210 trivia. Did anyone else watch that weird show with Tori Spelling and the lie detector?

What else have I done this weekend? Not much. I worried about the fact that my weekend stats always suck and tried to figure out how to fix that. I may have a plan.

RHOBHkylemonsterfacial

I also realized that the splinter in the bottom of my left foot that has been painful for months was much easier to remove if I put on my old lady glasses. Um, duh.

I thought about going to the Super Cuts, Fantastic Sams whatever it is and getting a trim and a really fabulous shampoo. I have kept putting it off because I need to go to my real hair dresser (my niece) who is super fancy and hard to get in to see and appointments are needed. But sometimes I go for a trim at this place (that may be closed not this always happens) not far from me and they shampoo you for a long time and it’s heaven. I need to be washed from head to toe and scrubbed at the beginning of every season and get a mani/pedi (how I hate doing that, blech.) and a facial and stuff. I’m really not big on these things but every new season at least.. I really should motivate. I have no idea how the housewives keep up with all that shit.

So what are y’all up to? I hope my Carolina friends are not being flooded out. I hear you have a lot of rain.

Its 1 am Dallas time and I just finished the 90210 film as well. It was a HOOT! Dan Castelleneta was so fun as Aaron Spelling – you could tell he was having fun doing a job for a paycheck, you know? And next week’s Melrose Place unauthorized ought to be fun as well, since Marcia Cross and the lady who played Sidney were apparently the Shannon Dougherty’s of their show.

I broke down and turned my furnace on. It was 65°inside.

I stopped mani pedis as a cost savings. It is hard to make my feet look descent, they are a long way away and I don’t bend/crunch up like I used to. I need to break down and get them done except I’m embarrassed. I need a pedi before I go for the pedi.

I watched a free On Demand movie today, not something I usually do. The one I selected, Cyrus The Serial Killer, supposedly fact based, is the goreist movie I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure why I continued watching to the end.

Big exciting Saturday here with the cat.

This is the home remedy that really works. Soak your feet in 2 cups Listerine, 2 cups white vinegar, and 2 cups hot water for 20 to 40 minutes. Use a pumice stone and nail brush, and it will get rid of all that dead skin. Smells gross. Rub Vaseline on your feet. Wrap them in saran wrap and put on socks wear to bed. Next morning you will have baby soft feet. It doesn’t smell pretty but it works.

In case the Lifetime show didn’t cover it, I will add to the trivia: 90210 was filmed at my high school, Torrance High! Louis Zamperinni, whose WWII experiences in a Jaoanese war camp was profiled in the movie Unbroken) was in one of the early graduating classes.

Tomorrow we are taking my in-laws to dinner for my FIL birthday. After my MIL knocks back a couple glasses of wine with some grey goose as a chaser, it out to be pretty interesting. It usually is! Our daughter is too swamped to join us, so I’m pretty bummed about that.

I hope you treat yourself to some pampering, TT!

I have a great deal of love for Louis Zamperinni – didn’t watch the film based on the book but every time he’s quoted or interviewed, I feel like he’s just a walking life lesson and love to hear what he has to say.

I got to meet him when I was a senior in high school! He was a very sweet man, very humble. Aren’t you in the LA area? The El Chollo in Santa Monica has a table with a plaque for Zamperinni with some photos 🙂

WTF is that picture?! And how did I miss the 90210 Lifetime movie?! I hadn’t even heard about it. I will catch it this week. Thanks for the heads up on the Melrose Place one next week.
I updated my iPhone and iPad. Got my jewelry back from being rodiumed and had my gel nails filled. I had a girly day, I guess.
SNL premiered tonight. I knew that they’d spoof Trump. It was a good show.
My husband is in the city tonight with his friends. I’m up late watching TV. I’m going to see if they are going to replay the 90210 thing now. Thanks for that info!

I wanted to be there, I started working at Tiger Town in 1988,between that and UGA we probably crossed paths. Aveda Institute is a great place for nails, it is $15 for a 45 minute pedicure and you get to keep your polish and they often give you product samples. Sign up for the mailing list and at you can get discounts. Christmas I bought a $100 card for $50 which is $7.50 per pedicure. Yes I know I am a math genius. I really like the school.

There is an Aveda salon near me that charges $40 for a pedi. My usual no big name place is $30 after tip, more if I pay for silence about my nails. They speak to each other in Vietnamese, or whatever their language is called. My hush money may be a waste.

Of course, for this homebody, going across the road to the mail box is as difficult as going to the food store half a mile away. I might be in if they used UPS. I love deliveries to the front door.

After a killer work week, I have the weekend off. My parents took my boyfriend, son and me to this hippy restaurant near their house, in Hollywood. Gluten, soy free, and vegan. It was awful food, but we had a good time. The waiters kind of had B.O. and one kept saying blessings every time she put a plate down.
Saw a wonderful concert with my son tonight. It included a guitar concerto–beautiful music. We decided to medicate ourselves for that lunch with Big Macs after the concert.
Home now and it’s already Sunday. No alarm clock. I have to go to the market and do laundry, but that’s it!!!
Sweet! Good Wife and Homeland start tonight!
    Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

I am freezing in the wilds of PA this weekend. Lots of quiet and work getting the family camp ready for a hard winter. Apparently it is going to be worse this year than it was last. Which is impossible to wrap my mind around. Thank God I live further south and this is only a “summer” place or I’d be rocking in a corner, banging my head. My BF and I will be back next weekend to work more on this place. Watched A&E last night – special on the Nicole Simpson murders. Fell asleep watching the deposition tapes from the civil trial the Goldman’s filed against OJ for wrongful death. I forgot most of the stories about OJ – what a piece of shit. Like a serious rabid psychopath. Now sitting outside wondering if the 50’s can be considered “warm” since it was in the 40’s yesterday. Avoiding finishing my projects before I head back down to VA where the storms were lovely and apparently soaked the place within an inch of it’s life. Nothing compared to the Carolinas but apparently soggy is the word of the day. Happy Sunday!

This is week four of “getting serious”. Me and Tony Horton have been dating for three weeks now (P90 no X). I guess at this point it has to become “staying serious”. Down 4.5 pounds, just another 50 to go. I am determined to look good in our pictures next Thanksgiving on the cruise. So this weekend it is waiting for the husband to leave and then hitting the living room for Sweat A with Tony H. Tons of rain here in NC, the river is super high but the pond at the end of the yard has been higher. Grass will need a bush hog to mow. Yep…exciting times here.

I’m finally floating to the surface. It’s been raining here in Va. since last weekend on and off sometimes extremely heavy. With flooding a real threat they cancelled schools on Friday. My older daughter is grounded from her computer and cell phone. Her idea to aggravate her sister to death out of boredom was an obvious ploy to try and break me. But we survived all the storms with little impact. We are lucky our friends in Charleston got it pretty good. Good luck to all who are dealing with water!!!

Two things come to mind regarding views. When you post in comments it drives me to the thread to read your thoughts so seaming for myself, the more you comment, the more I view. The second one is the recent post column on the right is very small now. I use it to see who and where they are commeting. Without the larger list I’m forced to open every thread to check new comments and I’m too lazy to do that.

That’s my 2 cents, not that you asked.

A central California Sunday started with a hike in the hills. I’ve lost 30lbs walking and food exchanges the past 6 months.
My Achilles tendon and heel are swollen, going to ignore until January.
Losing weight and eating well has made my skin look good.

The sons BKK Thailand wedding (Dec. 5) mentally weighs on me daily. Seeing my husband (40 yrs) with his young girlfriend there has me dreading this wedding.
I’ve chosen to look the best I can, be pleasant with a aloof attitude. It’s the best I have come up with.
    All suggestions welcome.

I no longer have the disposable income to fix my face or buy the nicest cloths. I’ve been looking at resale shops and rehabbing older cloths.
She has access to the money now.
    Again, any ideas welcomed.

    God, help me.

Otherwise, I FINALLY HAVE TINY TOMATOES!

Now that the weather is no longer in Super Nova mode, I am walking daily again (or semi daily, whatever). My goal is to be strong enough to lose the cane by Christmas.

And…I am finally caught up financially! All my medical bills went to collection, because treatments took a million years. But most are paid in full. I am working on the last one now. Rent is paid, utilities are way ahead, and I can finally eat again.

I’ve altered my diet drastically, and it’s going very well.

We had a modest wedding at my parish church and the reception in the garden. I made my dress. We had about 25 friends and relations. The altar guild ladies did the food for my reception. I think it cost us $600. We got married in the late morning so the reception was cake, juice, coffee, quiches, Danish, and fruit. Had seasonal flowers and my husband wore his dress uniform. We’ve lasted 30 years.

We got married on Halloween, in costume, at home. 30 jack-o-lanterns, Phantom of the Opera music. Everyone was in costume, including the minister. There were only 7 there, total. Everyone else was invited to the reception, if they were in costume.

We had a radio controlled R2D2 carry the ring. I made a lot of spaghetti and meatballs for the wedding attendees. And we had a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake, that was fabulous.

Our entire wedding cost about $200. That included makeup.

Can someone explain periscoping to me? Not the ocean based one (duh) but the tech use of it for spying on people via social media? And how do you folks “see” people when they periscope?

The googles didn’t help with my lo-tech question.

Finally getting a new roof this Tuesday. The hail storm in July did some nasty damage. Still in the 90’s here. The girl cat is curled up next to me and I am reading a good trashy bodice ripper instead of serious lit. I smoked a pork shoulder yesterday and made some BBQ for supper tonight. I never had pulled pork or banana pudding until I met my husband. Well he never had curry, real Mexican or Sichuan food until he met me. Gotta go finish the cole slaw.

I am currently hyperventilating because my mom just boarded a plane for Israel with her Gospel singing group. They’re to perform there for the next 2 weeks. I’m very nervous, missiles were fired from Gaza just last week, and could use any prayers/positive vibes y’all can spare.

Yes, sending positive thoughts and prayers. It’s reasonable to be nervous.

Your mom will be fine in Israel and will have the time of her life. They have some sort of anti-missile dome thingy over the country that keeps them safe. She’s fine.

Well I spent the weekend working everyone has decided their dogs stink and need a haircut. I guess the windows got shut when we had 40 deg and cold rain for days! So now I’m home exhausted and in alot of pain but very happy that even though it’s a mental fight to leave the house everyday that I force myself, doing something has helped with my depression. Now I’m off to medicate, have a cocktail and catch up on all things TT until new PBS Masterpiece shows (India Summers is very cool- you can get caught up on line) and The Affair is back tonite! Anybody watch these shows? Thanks for the weekend tea PST TT I love to read what everyone is up to!

I use to think it would be a good idea to add men to the cast of America’s Next Top Model but I don’t think so any more. The only thing half these dim wits can think of is getting into a showmance. I mean seriously, the show isn’t what it use to be #understatement, but it’s still the biggest opportunity these most of these morons will ever have in their lives and to blow it by losing sight of their goal is lunacy. And yes, I watch ANTM, don’t judge me… don’t you dare judge me.

Tamara, I’m a Auburn (War Eagle) fan. I was pulling for your beloved Bulldogs against Alabama.

I hate NeNe and don’t understand why she keeps getting all these hook up to be on TV shows. She’s a big obnoxious mess. I wish she would just go away like other former housewives. Enough already.

Yes i watched the whole movie as well as Tori on the lie detector. She lied 3 times according to the lady.. who cares. Im proud of her that shes even walking around in public. If my mom was worth 500mil and wouldnt give me a dime, Id be in prison for murder. Yes i watched the whole cheesy movie.. it was pure bliss. I LOVED it !! I was shocked at how some of it went down behind the scenes.. i had no idea the cast voted shannon dougherty off the island. Juicy stuff!!

Since it wasn’t actually raining for most of the day, I played 2 tennis matches and did my once-per-month facial: exfoliate, mask, another mask, special Botox cream, and moisturizer. Still need to shave and spray tan. It is exhausting having to keep up but I have a trade show in Vegas this week and need to look presentable, if not as tan as possible!

I’m obligated to stop by and give you a ROLL TIDE (don’t blame it on me, my degree made me do it). You could be an Auburn fan though. My sister graduated from there. 🙁
