So Many Great Shows Premiering Tonight!

October 4, 2015 by tamaratattles 42 Comments

I’m currently enthralled in a really good episode of Madam Secretary. It’s REALLY good.

At 9 pm we have The Good Wife that I am going to have to remember to watch On Demand at some point, because I have Homeland on Showtime and the premiere of the new season of Parts Unknown on CNN. I LOVE Homeland ! And Anthony Bourdain is my imaginary TV husband.

But wait, there’s more!

At ten we he have the premiere of The Affair on Showtime. Don’t Be Tardy/Manzo’d on Bravo and the premiere of Naked and Afraid on Discovery Channel.

What are y’all watching tonight?

I finally got around to watching aeason 4 of Homeland (i only ever heard bad things).

It was by far my favourite season out of all of them.

I hated the Brody story arc of season 1-3. Also the teenage bullshit was horrible.

Season 4 is definitely the best. Season 3 was such a jumbled hot mess, I thought the show had jumped the shark. But boy, did they get their shit together.

      And Quinn is everything.

The head of the CIA (guy who opened the door), was my favourite character. His snarky comments about Pakistan were sooo funny.

My favorite Burl Ives lines is from ” Cat on a hot tin Roof” There ain’t nothin’ more powerful than the odor of mendacity…You can smell it. It smells like death.

And who could resist “Holly Jolly Christmas”…

But the resentment is becoming so much more apparent, and tonight they all just confirmed that Kody has to be the center of attention, even if its through the SWs arguing. Insufferable narcissistic manchild with bad hair.

Agree. Seems to me there is some unraveling as the wives get older and wiser to the situation as in….this is plural but they still deserve individual attention to maintain thier relationships with Kody. The ‘Christine’ episode right before this for thier anniversary trip when he went on about it’s not about us but..the family?! You have got to be shitting me?! Then you know what.. You don’t celebrate the seperate anniversary at all then. My view is that he so enamored with Robin and likely that she being new to this isn’t calling him on his BS like the other wives do that if he could drop the ‘principal’ and just be with Robin (til he added other perhaps) he would on a second

Homeland, and really want for Carrie to get together with Quinn this season, for Lord’s sake. Was a little put off by her having her 2 year old sleep in bed between her and her new bf. However, love Homeland bc it is so darned realistic. Watched the season 4 Marathon today.

The Widower on PBS. It’s about Malcom Webster, a serial wife murderer. Was a big sensation in Scotland.

I really wanted to like “Blood and Oil” and “Quantico”. But I don’t. The first is like a remake of “Dallas”. And the 2nd has too many characters…FIFTY! Each one with a secret. I also am annoyed by the constant shifts in time.

So now, I’m watching old reruns on MeTV. I was watching “The Love Boat” earlier. All I could think of was “Below Deck” and this blog.

on The Shield last week, exchange between two men … One says he was “waiting for the plane” and the other repeats “the plane” then looks at the camera says “the plane” smiles.
It was a love boat reference most viewers were to young to know.

Tonight was soo good. Watched Madam Secretary. When she took oath it gave me chills.

The Good Wife had so many moments. I did not know Eli wore a wig.

Basketball Wives was so good with a surprise ending. I’m still in aww!

House Of DVF is cute. I wish someone would make a list of all the lies Cat tells like they did for that Big Brother girl.

Married To Medicine reunion was soo boring. They had so many flashbacks to cover.

Missed Naked & Afraid. Good tv night. Wish I had OWN.

Dont judge, but endulged in Kardashians… caught up on a few eps. As much as I know Kris was bossy to Caitlyn when they were married, I am really sympathetic towards her. Also caught Dash Dolls… only thing more pathetic than me getting sucked into that, was a glimpse of Slade Smiley and Gretchen at a photo showing! LOL!

Also watching House of DVF. Love that show. Cat is a bitch.

Have insomnia a bit, and waiting for my bedding to be done in the laundry (caught some fleas on the cat… first time in 15 years…. WTF?) So might catch up on Manzo d, Tardy.

There’s 2 new series on PBS, The Home Fires, Indian Summers (very interesting and stunning scenery- and historical if that paints your hut) (it’s free to watch at Masterpiece) I’m so glad they extended The Affair jmho but one of the best written shows out there’s I love everyone’s different perspectives and the whole muder mystery and all. So glad there’s some decent Sunday night TV.

Was watching The Affair, and Blood and Oil and dvr’d Indian Summers. You are right there are SO many good ones coming on til you need more than one dvr, or one big super dvr. Can’t wait for AHS, and I also like Heroes Reborn. Can’t remember when I’ve enjoyed tv so much. Don’t have to be tied to the reality shows or the news.
