We begin this week’s Project Runway with everyone acknowledging they could really care less that Lindsey is gone. OUCH! The plan this week is to design ready to wear to sell on Just Fab. Candice gets to assign the type of look each designer will make. She tries to be nice and give everyone what she thinks they want but Edmond and Merline did not get what they wanted. WTF is “femme nouveau” anyway? The budget is only $100, and they only get one day for the challenge.
Laurie knows she has to step up this week and she is happy she got “modern classic.” Interestingly, Edmond and Swapnil both have “bombshell” and Kelly and Candice both have “trendsetter.” Oh God, Kelly is going tacky. This may be her last week.
Being in the bottom last week seems to have deflated Ashley a bit. Ashley is also upset she got “girl next door” because she doesn’t think that is her style. Ashley is surprised that Merline is still there. She don’t manage her time well. I think Merline’s biggest problem is that the judges don’t really like her style.
Is anyone watch Rachel Zoe’s new show? Is it any good?
Merline is using all white, and has a weird pattern. No so good. Swapnil is pissed he wasn’t in the top last week. He says he gave 200%! Tim says it didn’t show. Tim also tells Swapnil that his look is one he’s seen many times before. Candice is making a great outfit. Tim criticizes the white hem. I like the white hem. Laurie is working on her dress and Tim says it isn’t innovative enough. That’s because it is “modern classic,” Timothy. Edmond picked an odd fabric. I like the fabric, but I do not like the way he is gathering it. It makes the whole thing kind of messy. I also really hate one shoulder dresses. Because, housewives. Tim is not impressed either. Kelly is worried that people won’t get her design aesthetic. Tim calls one of her fabrics a muppet bathmat. I predict Tim uses his save this week. Ashley’s look is awful. Tim says that Ashley’s fabric looks like a hospital gown. I didn’t see that until he said it. But it really does.
Tim has a twist for the designers. Did I miss what it was? Everyone is changing the looks a lot. Ashley is going to do a circle skirt and a crop top under her pleather jacket. Didn’t she already do a circle skirt and crop top? Edward loses the print fabric and goes with a red. Much better. Oh. Apparently the twist is to create a logo and make a label for their garment. Or a t-shirt. Or both. Or something. I’m not all here today since I decided to drink Merlot like a fish last night. I’d love to call in sick today, but that’s never a possibility. Pressing forward.
Everyone is a wreck. Swapnil used the wrong zipper and will have to sew his model into the dress. Merline is no where near being finished. She has her model threading a needle for her. Later her model irons her dress nekkid. Laurie has her model’s black bra as the only thing on her back. This is not good. There is no more immunity after this week!
Swapni. I like his dress, I do not like his wrap. He should have listened to Candice and left that off. Oh and the back of the dress is weird. And by weird I mean ugly.
Kelly. Well, I wouldn’t wear it but she is not designing for me. It certainly is very “trendsetter” and for that reason I think the judges will like it.
Merline. A white hot mess. That is all.
Candice. I love black and white looks. The top of her garment is adorable. The skirt has poofy layers. On of the layers starts at the widest part of the model’s hips. The model is a size negative ten. She looks fat. Swapnil thinks it is fabulous, but he is a dude.
Ashley. Again, I don’t like it. would not wear it but it seems like something Just Fab would sell. I don’t really meant that in a good way but that is what the challenge is about.
Laurie took the bra off her model. It’s hard to tell if we can see her boobs. I love the look but the boobs may be an issue again.
Edmond. I usually like his best. I do again this week. I think it is Just Fab enough to win.
I honestly have no idea this week. I’m just gonna make a random guess. I was not overly impressed by anyone.
My top three: Edmond, Ashley and Kelly
My bottom three: Laurie, Candice, Merline
It seems the judges didn’t agree on anything so there is no top and bottom this week. Zac Posen likes Candice’s skirt even though he does mention the hip problem. Most people hate the top. Merline really needs to go home. Zac Posen actually likes Merline’s outfit. Everyone gets mixed reviews. The Just Fab lady likes Ashley’s jacket. She also likes Edmonds. The judges go in hard on Laurie over the boob issue. And it’s not something Just Fab would sell. The judges hate Swapnil’s wrap and the butt flap on the back. The Just Fab lady loves the look but would not sell the wrap. No one seems to have any idea who is on the top or on the bottom. I don’t think anyone will go home this week. But if anyone should, it’s Merline.
The judges narrow the top two down to Ashley and Edmond! Kelly, Merline, Laurie and Swapnil are all being considered to send home. Finally the narrow it down to Laurie and Merline. Wow. I did a lot better than I expected this week.
Edmond won. You can buy his look on Just Fab dot com. Swapnil got a bit of a read from Heidi. Kelly is told the judges were split on her. It’s down to Merline and Laurie. AND THE SEND LAURIE HOME! #Sad
I love Laurie, but I don’t think she should get the Tim Gunn save. I don’t know if she did or not because my DVR taped for an hour and thirty two minutes. So did he use it?
