Big Brother Wednesday Night Live Eviction: Who Will Be The Final Three?

BB17 Vanessa make a deal

It’s time for another live eviction on Big Brother. But first, as Juliew would say, we have to get caught up on who Steve nominated for eviction and the Veto competition. It feels to me like we have a lot to cram into this episode.

Well for some damn reason Big Brother did not want to record so I tune in two minutes in with Vanessa fake crying about having to evict her best friend in the house, Austin. You know, Austin the guy she was perfectly fine with leaving on her HOH several weeks ago because “she had a reason.” Bitch please.  We just need you to own your evil and we would be way more supportive of your impending win. You REALLY thought you could not beat AUSTIN in the final two??? Shut up.

Liz is now getting that Vanessa is a lying liar who lies. John in his DR says that despite Vanessa’s crying, he, Steve and Vanessa all decided to do this right before the ceremony.  Or more specifically, Vanessa told them what to do right before the ceremony. Was this the first real blindside of the season? Because clearly Vanessa did not let Austin or Liz know in advance. She is making a lot of enemies. Vanessa told JMac what to do seven minutes before eviction. Vanessa asks Steve if he trusts her. She says yes and tells him to go look nervous as hell.  JMac loses Austin’s vote by fist bumping him moments before the show assuring him he is safe. This really has been an exciting season.  Then we are back to Vanessa saying how much she adores Austin. Girl, please.

Then we are on to Steve who managed to do a math problem incorrectly, (so much for him being an idiot savant) and still winning HOH because JMac went slightly over.

JMac is worried that he is leaving. Liz is furious that Steve won HOH. And she misses her fingerbanger.

Vanessa immediately begins brainwashing Liz. Liz’s brain is so small it should be a quick task. Liz cries real tears. Vanessa cries bullshit tears. So Liz is going to work with Vanessa.  Vanessa PROMISES to take Liz to final two on and swears on Mel.

Vanessa chats with JMac saying that she could get Steve to throw veto because she is afraid he would keep Liz over them. Frankly Vanessa wants everyone to throw veto because she is on the block. But that has not happened yet. Vanessa shakes JMac’s hand and promises to take him to final two. I think swearing on Mel may supersede  a handshake, but who knows? Vanessa says that it is mathematically impossible at this point for her to make it to final three with both Liz and JMac so she if free to make a final two with both of them. And she already has one with Steve. She really needs to hope no one compares notes at this point though. Jmac knows she is full of shit. He will take her out if he gets a chance.

BB17 Vanessa Skittles Pass the Paxil
Chop By Pass the Paxil

Steve nominates JMac and Vanessa.  No one cares about nominations because this week, only the veto winner has the power.  EVERYONE wants Vanessa gone despite all of her final twos. As long as she doesn’t win veto, she is going home. YAY!!!!

Finally, my favorite part of this point in the season. The jury house welcomes Julia and Austin. The jury can’t believe that Julia was voted out over Liz.  The jury points out how stupid Julia was to listen to Vanessa about picking Austin to go against her. Then six days later, Austin arrives. It seems they never bothered to give him shoes. Austin immediately starts poisoning the jury against Vanessa. Shelli is cheerleading for Vanessa in the house. Austin is NOT having it. The jury is so going to give it to Vanessa.

Rachel and Brendon are inexplicably on and I am going to take a pee break. It sounded like it was sort of pro JMac. Rachel says that she thinks that Liz and Austin do have a shot at a real relationship.  Rachel announces she is pregnant. Great news I suppose BUT AIN’T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THIS!

The Veto Competition

HOLY SHIT! It’ Caleb.  I have not had time to watch the feeds as much as I would like because of the move and my never ending interactions with the ad reps for this site. I’m so busy having panic attacks because I have been bleeding money for two weeks now that I rarely have time to check in.  This is a surprise for me. It is some sort of Asian/martial arts thing.

It’s a days comp. The one they have all been studying for. They have to kick the right day or something. I don’t know.  blah blah blah. Everyone talks about how important it is. Who cares. The point is Vanessa won. Actually they have to …. or nevermind. Liz went out first. Vanessa must be thrilled.  This is a dumb, albeit new comp. Steve supposedly threw the veto. Because, idiot. In the DR Steve claims he just fucked up. When Vanessa wins, Liz runs out to hug her. Both Liz and JMac think they are going to final three. JMac is a bit more realistic about it.

Veto Ceremony

Van takes herself off.  Johnny looks at Liz and says, “I know that some of us are not too good about being discreet about being excited. So with that said, if they came to hear me beg, they will be disappointed. ~The Arbiter”  Liz gives the usual blah blah blah speech. Basically, she begs.  Vanessa casts her vote face to face. She basically says she can’t trust JMac and sends him packing.  This is a smart move because now she has two non-allied people in the house with her who both think they have a final two. The crowd goes wild and this immediately has the final three freaking about over how much the fans love him. Steve still thinks he was a twist. They all seemed confused. The reality is he was going to take down Vanessa. And he has been the narrator of the season.

JMac says he knows that he had to win the veto and he didn’t. He says he would have evicted Vanessa if he had won. The audience applauds but not much. JMac says he thinks Vanessa and Steve will be final two.

Meanwhile back in the house they have Champagne. Van tries to peer pressure Steve into drinking a tiny amount, but he won’t and they toast to Julie Chen for some bizarre reason. At this point I hope Steve or Liz win.  I know Vanessa “deserves to win” but BLECH.

That said this has been a fantastic season and I could make a great case for any of these three winning.  HOH starts on Sunday night.

Feeds are back and everyone is upset that JMac got such a positive reaction. They keep thinking he is a twist. They are so confused as to why the fans love him. Mostly, IT”S BECAUSE HE IS NOT YOU FUCKTARDS.

Her final speech to Jmac was another infuriating moment for me. Didn’t she JUST do to Austin what she gave as her reason for evicting John? Stab the person who you’ve been aligned with the whole game in the back? Why can’t she just keep her mouth shut and just evict him??? I’ve literally had to ff through any scene (and/or cam jump) that has Vanessa crying for quite a while now. EVVVVERYYYYTHANGGG is about poor Vanessa and how it makes her feel. I seriously can’t take it anymore. BUT, since she DID give John that whole speel, I really hope he tells it to the jury. Maybe that could be helpful in showing what a gross person she is. John is not too bright in passing along appropriate information though. That has driven me a bit crazy this season. He had so much good dirt to play with.

On another note, it’s so funny that Caleb was on, and in a karate (or as they said “ninja”) outfit, because the whole time I’ve been watching American Ninja warrior I’ve been thinking that Caleb should compete in it. You know… because he’s so good at everything

Steve muttered earlier tonight that if he gets the chance, he’s definitely taking Liz over Vanessa to F2. I’m glad to hear that he has his head screwed back on after his freak out late last night. Or was his meltdown then only theater for the camera, since he amuses himself that way frequently?

Steve will certainly loose if he does not take Liz. He might have a shred of a chance with her. I do think people have underestimated Steve’s game. Laying back quietly in the beginning then aligning with the strongest player in the game. Letting her do a lot of the dirty work. Then he has won comps right when he needed to. He has either played pretty smart or been damn lucky.

I would love to see Steve win . For a person with Asperger’s Syndrome, what a win that would be. Imagine, winning Big Brother, a social game, by someone that struggles with being social, speaks volumes. The fact that he is still there and is in
the final three, shows that he has actually had to work harder than the others, overcome a problem that doesn’t exist for the others. In a way, he has already won. Go ahead and cut him a check. 🙂

Today I had to go on a trip to the Social Security office. Guess what we talked about while waiting for paperwork ? Big Brother ! Our lady clerk overheard us mention Vanessa’s name and immediately gave us her and her husband’s differing takes on the game. It inadvertently was a huge help and brought smiles and laughter to a task which usually leaves me on the edge of fainting. Thank you, beloved Big Bro’. Her huzzband hates Vanessa and her orange mumu shook with belly laughs as she described the conversations in her house.

I’ve seen Vanessa, since watching very contemplative moments of her facial expressions during the endurance comp, redfine her game to herself. Later that night and again today, although naturally she has deals with both Steve and Liz, Vanessa is favoring Liz as her partner, if possible. It appears to me that Steve has lost her support. Several little paragraphs could be added here to delineate this shift, since the two women have talked together for a very long time today. Included in their discussion were a lot of details about their mutual disdain for how Austin has played the game. Most of their talking, however, has reaffirmed to the two of them that they are going to strive to cut Steve and move on to F2 side by side. While realizing that many would respond that Vanessa is a lying liar who lies, this is what I am seeing right now.

Vanessa also seems to practice her Finale Argument to Liz reviewing step-by-step she’s been singularly responsible for everything, from the Twins to every alliance to winning every comp to every eviction, as though the other players weren’t even there, deserving of no credit. Liz, who’s used to acquiescing to Van’s moods, story telling and power, responds wow…hmmm…really. Even when Vanessa lists the numerous times Austin plotted against Liz, she only disagrees a little. Van quickly covers herself and says “I didn’t tell you Austin was betraying you, bc I thought he would have told you” …huh? While she pleads she’s her best friend, you understand why she’s so unlikable, she’s physically unable to share, too many double standards, and abusive bullying, as recently as yesterday during Steve’s panic attack. Livid.

Van promises to take Liz to F2 and reiterates the list of bribes, payoffs, gifts they’ll get from her: Austins gambling money and card counting lessons, Julia’s new car, and Liz a new business start up. She secures her votes in Jury..to which production is silent and Liz squeals yeah…party in Vegas with my $50k. Ugh.

On The Talk, I heard Austin refused to leave BB House and wanted Van to re-tape her vote, Julie said that never happened before. Lots of highlights and lowlights this year. Rewriting rules and pseudo celebrity houseguests as Co-producers and directing the show. Blech. Ready for Survivor!

Frankie from last year could definitely be considered a “pseudo” celebrity. The season before that, one of the producers I believe – it was someone working behind the scenes – was supposedly connected to Amanda.

I think this has been a GREAT season. I don’t particularly like Vanessa, of course I’m basing that on seeing her as a competitor in a game that includes lying and manipulating, but I do believe she deserves to win. I can’t deny that her gameplay has been excellent for the most part.

Insult upon injury for fans who want to vote for America’s Favorite Player– CBS voting site has been down for 2 days, error messages read you’ve already exceeded your voting limit…needless to say, rigging conspiracies abound especially after Steve quit playing POV and Liz dropped out of HOH1. When CBS operators are contacted by phone and email, they act like they don’t care. Poor James & JMac, they won’t know how they made this season tolerable. And if Van dumps Steve for F2, he’ll just get his HOH props as a prize.

Steve and Liz compete next, and the winner goes against Vanessa in part three. Everyone is telling each other that they want to be in F2 together, but the final HOH decides who stays and who is evicted. It seems to me that every year at this point, everybody is a lying liar who lies just so that they don’t fight, cry and scream too much amongst themselves. Usually the feeds get very boring, with a few rare exceptions. I wish that the finale could come sooner, like this Sunday instead of next Wednesday.

I felt that Derrick ran Season 16 from start to finish and was very judicious about it. He managed to move everything and everyone along so well, smoothly, almost paternally, that there were very few bumps and almost no surprises from beginning to end. Season 16 was dull for me to watch because of this, entirely predictable, although Derrick was likable. The current game has been so much more colorful and jammed with characters that it’s been more engaging for me and one of the best Seasons in a long time. Vanessa has been a real button-pusher and controversial to the cast and it’s audience, like a gay Cleopatra, with that emotional manipulation as part of her arsenal. To me, she is very French and having been lucky to have been married to a man from Southern France, I know that cry-talking that she does very well. One can find ways to be immune to this charateristic, even to enjoy it for what it is. While many have despised Vanessa, I have loved her and offer no apologies for loving her.

I think she will take steve but it seems her loyalty is to Liz while Austin is painting a pretty picture in the jury house. If up to steve Vanessa is a goner.
