Don’t Be Tardy Recap: Ariana Wants To Be Emancipated…

dont-be-tardy-season-3

Here’s hoping that the dog penis storyline is minimal on this episode of Don’t Be Tardy because I’m really over it.

We start with Arianna complaining about having to watch KJ and Kash. Ariana wants to be emancipated at age 16.  It is amusing that she thinks she can afford to support herself the day she is old enough to work.  Ariana says that Kim and Kroy are way to strict on her and she never gets to do anything. You know, pretty much the anthem of all teenagers.  How many of us said we were moving out the day we turned 18? Five minutes later she is talking about wanting a big graduation party when she  graduates from  high school.  Typical teen.

Tracey’s girlfriend Brooklyn is back from Israel where she was … I don’t know what she was doing there. At any rate, Kroy and Kim are trying to counsel Tracey on her relationship.  Tracey has a million stories about Brooklyn and they are all crazy. Kim and Kroy  want to met Brooklyn because they are not even sure she really exists.

It's the twins!
It’s the twins!

UGH. Dog dick.  Speaking of dogs, Banjo has never paid the TV any attention at all. Not when someone is talking about treats, or when other dogs are on. He appears to be watching TV for the first time now.

While Ariana is playing air hockey in a super awesome game room with Kroy and says that her parents are losers.  Finally, the perfect child is rebelling a bit.

Kim and Kroy are going on a double date with Tracey and Brooklyn. Tracey is continuing to make up stories about her relationship with Brooklyn.  Tracey says they role play all day long.

At dinner Brooklyn is cute and colorful. Tracey brought games to the restaurant. They play the Newlywed Game. Brooklyn and Tracey get a lot more questions right. In Kim’s talking head, she says things were much more normal on the double date than she expected.  Things were not normal at all.

Kim and Kroy talk about how great their relationship is. It’s basically because Kroy is pretty much a saint when it comes to the kids and doing things around the house. If men knew how sexy they are when they fix things that break, they would be fixing thing all the time.

OMG I love Kroy. My keyboard at home has died on me, so I am commenting during my work break. I absolutely love Tracy. She is a loony toon. She cracks me up and I don’t care that she makes up stories left and right. She is a riot. I really looks forward to this show. It shocks me, but it’s true. Who knew?

Oh, Ariana. Emancipation? I certainly don’t blame her for wanting to get away from her trashbox of a mother.

However, the smart route would be to keep her head down, mouth shut, and let Mom pay for her college education…and maybe even a post-graduate degree. Then, go build her own life and never look back.

Of course it’s all fake storyline anyway.

So you know that it is storyline, but you want to call her mother a trashbox? Lovely.

Does Kim know you are using pictures of her old nose? Lol, that’s all I can think about when I see her.

      LOL
All I can think about when I see Kim is how much prettier she is “au-natural” with less makeup, realistic lashes (those black widow spider things she wears are ugh), and her own hair. She looked so much softer, prettier and younger the time she went without her wig a few years ago. She looks like a circus clown with the sloppy/messy looking lipstick on her puffy lips and her wigs that need major rejuvenation (they’re looking like they need the scraggly looking bottom 6-8″ trimmed off.).

She and Kroy sure do make some beautiful looking babies! They also look like they get along well and enjoy each other’s company. I love they way he is so realistic about Brielle and Ariana and the way he talks to them. They all seem, at least from what little we see on scripted tv, to be so good for each other.

I LOVED this episode, all except for the dog dick. These people like one another, and Kim and Kroy are great together. Never expected to really like the show; it’s a great surprise. I do think that, when KJ goes to school, his language is gonna be a big problem.

@ Deb in SF – I resisted watching this show because Kim always rubbed me the wrong way on RHOA, but I always read TT’s recaps which finally made me curious to watch an episode, and I’m glad I did.

Kim is such a different person on this show, and I love to watch her & her family interact. The kids are gorgeous & funny; Kroy is handsome, a great dad & husband; and the chef is HIGH-larious. It is a fun way to spend 30 mins watching a reality TV show.

I like Kroy except when he wanted to shoot the opossum few shows ago. Was manly but barbaric. Not the sweet pie compassionate I had built up in my fantasy, I mean in my mind;)
I always thought Kim had a strong opinion, even brash sometimes, but I see her vulnerable soft side a lot more now, she’s sweeter and mellow, not just cussing trash talking and all over the place. Maybe she’s more grounded now. Who wouldn’t be good to go? Hot man, kids popped out, new body—done and done!!

YOu’ve never had a possum break into your place have you? They are disgusting. One oozed its way into my office space. It roamed around, knocking stuff over, LICKED stuff like our candy dishes, and shit cat sized turds everywhere.

I’m an animal lover… bid I side with Troy.

I don’t watch the show but it sounds fun. Those twins are so adorable. I just cannot get over every time I see a picture of them how cute they are! It is so sexy when a man helps around the house and fixes shit. Seriously why don’t they fucking get it? Lol. My hubs made me breakfast this morning so he is getting some tonight. That is how it works. I need to catch this show. I always read the recaps.

Did anyone else laugh when the question was who would you eat on a deserted island and Tracey answered Kim because she wouldn’t do anything anyway?

Also thought it was pretty funny during their walk that Kim was using BJs for her example and Kroy was using ravioli

I would totally watch an episode of Kroy using his tool belt, cooking dinner, and cuddling the twins.

For all the people here and elsewhere that are criticizing Kim’s parenting because her 13 – 14 year old daughter is talking emancipation in a couple of years – OMG, you either do not have any experience with anyone under 18, or your own children are under 7 years old and are total Mama’s boys (or girls) and need some help.

Troy was hitting the nail on the head when talking about her maturity and needing extra supervision. Arianna clearly has a high IQ – an excellent student, etc., and that is where she is more mature than her peers (also in acknowledging that working hard academically is a key to her future). But her sexually maturing early is a problem, a hindrance, especially since emotionally and even socially she is at her age level or even younger. Kids’ “emotional quotient” can be the most important thing sometimes.

All in all… as a person who was an educator who worked with teens, Kim and Kroy are ON POINT in treating their kids individually – and are absolutely smart in letting their kids know that they are treating their kids as individuals in the rights and privileges and restrictions each will have in the household.

Frankly, I admire them for not mocking and laughing at Arianna, and generally NOT being dismissive of her ideas yet still putting their foot down (How damn cute was it that Kroy said that she couldn’t drive yet – and he wouldn’t drive her to the court house – many times kids of “step famiies” are looking for proof of love – in a round about way, that was proof of Kroy’s love). Plus, Kim talking about her being the “Golden Child” but also being the one she worries about? That will go a long way when Arianna sees that.

Are there flaws in Kim and Kroy’s overall parenting? OK, sure. There are no perfect parents. BUT as a blending family where the bio dads don’t seem to be involved?… Kroy KICKS ASS.
