This morning Kim Richards lawyers met for a pre-trial hearing on her Beverly Hills Hotel case where she was facing trial for four misdemeanor charges of trespass, resisting arrest, battery on a police officer and public drunk. The plea deal requires Kim never to return to the Beverly Hills Hotel, serve three years probation, attend fifty-two alcoholics anonymous meetings within one year, and complete THIRTY days of community labor. (EDITED: it initially said THREE DAYS not the correct number, of 30! It’s been a long couple of days.)
Kim’s Attorney, Robert Shapiro, informed the judge that Kim is unable to perform community labor due to a foot injury. She certainly did not have a foot injure at the recent Sharknado premiere where she hopped around in front of the step and repeat and gave an interview with ET! So either she has recently injured herself or she is about to go shopping for a doctor’s note. The judge says he will need a doctor to attest to the fact that Kim is unable to complete community labor before allowing the plea to be changed to community service. We’ve seen in LA that community service can mean pretty much anything.
In the long run if Kim is not in some sort of a program where she is admitting that she has a problem and working to get better, it won’t take long for her to violate her probation. Currently, it’s not even clear if she has a stable place to live.
Kim’s theft case as a result of shoplifting a bunch of stupid crap from the Target in Van Nuys is still open. I believe her court date for that is September 11th.
Kim was not in the courtroom for today’s proceedings.
P.S. This is my first post on the new host. Fingers crossed this all works out. My current status is “it’s complicated.”
P.P.S. I can’t choose sizes for my photos. It’s full size or nothing. Most of my photos won’t fit the blog full sized. UGH. My brain hurts.
