Don’t Be Tardy Recap: 18 and Out!

dont-be-tardy-season-3

Am I the only one who wonders what Kim and Kroys parent think about when Don’t Be Tardy? Shouldn’t they want to see their grandkids? Especially Kroy’s parents. I can sort of understand Kim’s parents not being allowed to visit, but I would think Kroy’s mama would be dying to squeeze those babies.

This episode is all about Brielle turning 18.  Well, that and the dogs who have erection problems. Kim seems to think that dogs get “circumcised.”  How could such stupid people end up with so much money?  Kroy things human males have two scrotums. I just can’t. At least Kroy says he is kidding. Sort of.

I love the new cook, Tracy. She seems to love fucking with Kim. Kim believes every story she tells her.

Kroy wants to make Brielle work for her new Jeep Wrangler. As they are planning a scavenger hunt for Brielle, a rabid possum arrives in the yard. I am not pleased with the way Kroy is handling this. That thing should be dead before Kim has time to scream. Tracey reassures Kim that possums are just fine by telling her one of her tall tales. She says that possums used to come into her trailer at night when she was a kid and sleep with her. I love this woman.  Kim won’t let Kroy shot the possum. This is hilarious.

The two dogs go to get fixed. One of them gets his ball manually descended. Unfortunately, the one with the constant hard on condition cannot be fixed. Apparently, it’s a lifestyle choice. Kim is just going to have to be more open-minded and accepting of how others choose to live their lives.  KJ feels bad that the dogs have to “shit” in the cage. I can see the haters clutching their pearls now. heh.

The scavenger hunt has been planned.  The idea is to make Brielle to work for her car.  She has to find a Larry at each location. “Larry” will give her an unpleasant task at each site. First job? Dishwashing at a restaurant. Then she has to go Sky Zone for her next clue. And then it is done. Really? That’s it? Brielle is ecstatic to get her Jeep. Brielle has wanted a Jeep for as long as RHOA has been on the air. I think her first word was probably “jeep.”

Next Week: It’s a family trip to Destin.

I’d say his parents are pretty much devastated that he married such an immoral dingbat.

As long as Kim makes their son happy, why should they care? It seems to me they are cutting their noses off to spite their face.

So someone that chooses to dress themselves and use language deemed inappropriate by the societal majority for no other reason than antiquated tradition is more immoral than someone who actively chooses to not support their own children or grandchildren?

      Nope. Nope nope.

How could they not watch this show and not realize what a loving family they are? I’d hope that alone would make them want to be in their lives. It may not be their choice or what they envisioned for their son, but the family is adorable and clearly all love each other. If Kroy’s parents can’t see that, then sadly Kim and Kroy are better off without them.

You are right, we don’t know the whole story. But unless Kim and Kroy refuse to allow them in their lives, I can’t see how they’d want to stay away.

I’m sorry you’ve lost your parents. I can assure you though, that there are some people who are better off without their parents in their lives. My husband is one of them. His parents are a constant source of emotional distress. It’s really sad to see how ill-suited some people are at being parents.

It’s gonna be an unpopular opinion, but hey… it’s The Internets so you feel a little more easy telling the truth. As someone who has never recieved a SHRED of affection from a maternal source, to the extent it has made them quite emotionally stunted (PROBABLY…I maintain that I’m great… ;)), I hate it when people say, “Oh, you’ll miss them when they’re gone,” or “Appreciate them while you can…”

Like hell I will. You don’t have a clue, so don’t patronise me and project your emotions and/or guilt and/or sadness. Not everyone has the picture perfect definition of parents. But those of us who haven’t get made to feel guilty by those who have? It’s odd. Keep your opinions to yourself. A mother isn’t a deity. They can be amazing, or truly awful, or damaged, or fundamentally flawed. It’s life.

TT, I love this show as well. That Tracy should be doing stand up comedy on her off days. I too hang on to every thing she says, although I don’t believe a word she says. She is so entertaining and makes watching so worth it. How about I found myself a little teary eyed too when Brielle got that jeep as she seemed genuinely grateful and surprised. This whole family is such a sweet reprieve from backbiting, lip smacking, eye rolling and brawling among adults. Let’s hope that Kroy’s parents will change their minds and embrace those sweet innocent grand babies. This one is a Sunday night winner for me.

    Two things:

Could not agree more with your love of Kim the chef. She is hysterical and Kim is so gullible.

Kim’s makeup artist: Please stop overdrawing her lips. It looks horrible. Looks like she’s wearing those Halloween wax lips all the time. On WWHL, it was so distracting. Just a bad make up mistake. It must look better in person.

I have never watched RHOA but caught the wedding special and that’s when I decided I liked Kim and Kroy. Kroy is a good father, husband and wonderful “step” dad. The shows adorable and it’s nice to finally have a show on bravo that isn’t negative. Their parents are really missing out but it’s not really any of business to guess why that is. I’m sure there is a whole side to this we don’t know about.

I don’t judge often, but I’m going to here. I would die if one of my sons had a family and I never got to see the babies. DIE. I would try every single day to reconcile. Not saying they aren’t, I have no idea, but this situation is very sad.
Kim and Kroy aren’t drug addicts, or felons, or abusers or anything of the like. They are good parents who LOVE their kids. I just don’t get it.

Not letting your parents have a relationship with their grandchildren is harsh, even cruel, punishment – if they don’t have a damn good reason for it, shame on Kim and Kroy. I like this show, but at the back of my mind is the nagging question – “what did they do that was so wrong that they deserve this?”

I believe that only Kim’s parents are cut off. And they deserve it. Her PARENTS were selling stories to tabloids talking about Kim having kids by different men and saying all sorts of nasty stuff. Her mother seems to have some sort of …um issue…and is extremely jealous and nothing Kim gives her is ever good enough. Kim’s parents basically turned on her. Her grown kids stopped wanting to see THEM. So I have no issue there.

Kroy’s parents were not particularly excited about Kroy’s choice for a wife. I can understand that. But after FOUR SEASONS of this show where it is evident they are in love and THEY HAVE SIX KIDS that are beautiful and well adjusted… They have a great son who is very successful. I think they must have said something nasty about Kim to him one too many times. Kim seems open to having them in her life. She just said that they never have gotten to know her. This relationship needs fixing. Those babies deserve grandparents and I think Kroys parents are good people. Hopefully this will not continue much longer.

I love watching this show. It’s such a nice change watching a happy family with adorable kids, rather than the hateful, spiteful, drunken druggies that have been forced on us watching Brandi and Kim.

As far as sympathy for the parents, it’s a two way street. When they can come around without condemning or trying to make a buck off of this family, then they might be able to enjoy this wonderful family. It was smart of Kim and Kroy to choose their own immediate family over their disapproving parents.

There’s some really funny stuff in this show. I wish it was on for an hour.

I love Kim’s zany antics, she is funny as hell. Kim loves her kids to distraction and i find that awesome, I do think she is trashy as hell. The mouth she has on her is terrible, but it is her. I had not believed she really was that into Kroy for a long time, I decided she was securing her child support. Now i can see the total, generous love they have for each other. The way Kroy has taken the girls into his heart is so sweet, they have never really had a father figure and yes he came late to the game but he is there and he is in for the long haul. Kroy’s parents may not like Kim and her trash mouth and tacky ways but their son loves her to the moon and back and they need to get over their mid west straight laced bullshit. I do wish Kim would wash some of that shit off her face and have her real hair with no wigs or extensions. She is really pretty and makes her self look plastic. The chef is a hoot, Slade is a moron as is Brielle, but they are fun to watch.

Of course, Kim is lying about her nose. Good lord. When Brielle said on WWHL that her nose looked like her mom’s and SHE hadn’t had any work done, I was like, no shit Sherlock. Maybe it’s because YOU haven’t had any work done, but the reason your mom’s nose looks like yours now, is because SHE has. Brielle, Brielle, Brielle. Please just hush, and sit there and look cute, because you’re not helping the cause. I think the reason it annoys me is because she’s basically telling me not to believe my lying eyes. I know it’s because she is incredibly insecure about her appearance, and no one likes the aging process, but still, don’t piss on my leg and tell me it’s raining. Me no likey. Okay, now that I’ve gotten that off my chest, I still like her show and watching her family. Those kids are the absolute cutest!

Situation makes me think of Zoila too as Jeff’s adoptive mom. Kroy’s parents need to check themselves as parents, and take a step back. All of t hem need to just ask themselves does this person love my child, and does my child love this person? Even if you don’t like him or her – suck it up and be polite, esp. when kids are involved. You don’t even have to respect them… but you do need to be polite.

As long as their son is happy they need to get over it. However, I do feel some sympathy for the parents. I can imagine their shock at him choosing Kim who is older with two children with neither father in the picture. Add Big Poppa and the lesbian relationship and I can see them trying to get him out of the relationship and Troy being very upset about it. He needs to forgive them and they need to accept he is happy and she gave them some adorable grandchildren.

Kim is one lucky lady. Instead of running away when she got pregnant he did right by her and married her. Adopted the kids. Good guy. Good dad. Good midwestern values. Parents should be proud…he has been a blessing to Kim and the kids. And, they to him.
