Yolanda Foster Has Her Breast Implants Removed; Tea On New RHOBH Castmember

Doctors have removed Yolanda’s implants after discovering that one of her 20 year old silicone implants has ruptured. Of course Yolanda immediately posted the news to her Instagram.
yolandahfoster   ❤️Turn a mess into a message……. We might have hit the jackpot by finding all this silicone from a 20 year old implant rupture through ultrasound mapping as shown in this selfie. Thank you Dr.Feng for holding my hand and leading the way #UncoveringTheMystery #ChronicLymeDisease #ExPlantSurgery @FengClinic #MyHealthJourney #DeterminedToFindACure

As I’ve mentioned many times, I have never thought Yolanda Foster has been properly diagnosed. Yolanda is now posting on Instagram that she had her 20 year old implants removed. Apparently, they have been leaking silicone into her body for quite some time.  How can it be that she has kept silicone implants in for 20 years?  There are many people who believe that silicone implant ruptures that go unnoticed can lead to an increased susceptibility for autoimmune disorders, such as Lupus.
Does this mean that doctors are finally on the right path to discovering the cause of Yolanda’s health issues? I hope so.  I’m sure we will learn more on the next season of RHOBH as filming is continuing.
In other RHOBH  news,  In Touch Weekly is reporting that dance club singer Erika Jayne is filming for the upcoming RHOBH season. She appears to be somehow connected to David Foster through her singing.
I’ve been a bit skeptical about this news since initially I thought she was in her 20s based on some PR stuff I read. However, it appears she is in fact 46 and would fit right in with the rest of the gang.  Ironically, Erica is actually an Atlanta native. It’s about time we export a native instead of importing west coast ladies to Atlanta.
Speaking of Atlanta… I’ve got tea on that casting coming up next.

That was my same thought…silicone ruptures have been in the news for a long time. It would be a wonderful thing if something so simple were found to be the root of her problem. This is a very scary journey that she has been on. Where I live (about 50 miles from where Lyme was originally diagnosed), SO MANY people have Lyme. A good number have what Dr’s refer to as Chronic Lyme, in other words, the symptoms recur regularly, even after proper antibiotic treatment. The spirochetes are never truly gone from their systems and that can lead to a host serious conditions, and various strains of Lyme, such as Ehrlichiosis. Perhaps the Dr’s here have mislabeled this condition, but my heart goes out to Yo because I do know folks that have endured this cycle of Lyme and it is debilitating, and can be a nightmare if it is neurologically invasive. Whatever the root cause of her problems, I am glad that she perhaps has found the answer that she has been looking for.

20 year old implants? I thought they had to be replaced every 10-15 years?

Hopefully this is either the problem, or leads to them identifying the real diagnosis.

Yes, they do… Mine saline are 10, but I have no problems aesthetically or otherwise. That being said, you really need to be careful.

      Here’s what’s weird especially…

Moreover, if her implants are 20 years old — silicone that she would have was banned from 1992-2006?! They were deemed unsafe, banned for 14 years, as there were so many lawsuits… if she knowingly got the implants around when they were banned, wouldn’t you look at those babies first thing (or get the dangerous ones out?).

I had saline in 2006 (breast fed 2 kids back to back and the deflated girls didn’t perform well when I worked as a lingerie and swimwear model, don’t judge

I see no dumbassedness in your comment! And you’re correct. Reconstruction and replacement of existing implants were the two approved exceptions . The implants were to be considered investigational devices and you had to follow through with adjunct clinical studies.

Interesting info, alexa. I wonder if “medical reasons” would be if you had a mastectomy, though I don’t know why silicone would be necessary/better in that case? I thought 10-15 years replacement cycle was the norm as well, very scary idea to me to have those puppies hanging out in there for so long.

I have seen comments, whether on this site or another, from multiple people who have suggested her implants might be the problem. I cannot believe medical professionals have not explored this possibility before now. Especially the holistic doctors she has been seeing. It seems like the sort of thing they would hone in on immediately.

I cannot believe she would have 20 year old silicone implants! Lady, what are you thinking. The 90s were when silicone was the worst. I don’t know, seems weird that doctors wouldn’t have considered this. A saline implant has ten years then *should* be swapped out..

Usually docs will advise you to have them scanned periodically to ensure there has been no leakage. Like everyone else here, I am really surprised none of her multitude of doctors/healers thought to check her implants. i hope with their removal she will find some relief.

I also can’t believe that with all of the doctors she has seen (and with her money I’d imagine they are some of the best) not one of them had looked into/seen this earlier. Also, again, with all of her money, why on earth has she had the same implants in for 20 years? This makes no sense to me at all. Especially for someone who is so into so much natural stuff, you’d think she would be overly worried about having silicone implants in her body at all.

Like everyone else, I was baffled as to why she still had her silicone implants in. Then I reminded myself that she has been out of her mind and mentally and emotionally disabled. I think the doctors must have been specialist and focused on her auto immune issues. Maybe the holistic doctors were not looking at former surgeries and medical implants. More like hormones, bacteria and nutrition? Geez, this sucks big time. I hope this is what puts her in good health. I love Yolanda! You would think that they’d check out her implants immediately upon a health decline.. and she’s traveled all over the world for help? It sounds crazy to me.. i mean the intake form alone should be a big red flag to check her implants… how many years since she’s been sick and one doctor figured that out? wow…. i hope she has a full recovery… she’s been through a lot although i’ve never been a big fan… esp. her coziness to Brandi.. and i never thought she treated Lisa respectfully… but no one should have to live with chronic problems such as Yolanda.. i hope this is it!! I’d love to know how they actually determine lyme disease?

Yolanda had posted a picture in Cleveland a few days agao and I got really excited for her, hoping she was at the Cleveland Clinic. While following Yolanda’s journey via her photos, it seemed to me she was trying every naturopathic remedy available, while avoiding MDs . I am SO glad she found this out and maybe now can try to incorporate the naturopathy with an MD.
I’m hoping she did some bloodwork to find outvexactly what vitamins she needs, also. She was taking (to me) an unnecessary amount.
Truly wishing all the best for her.

In all fairness I don’t know if Dr. Feng does surgery but her office/clinic is right around the corner from me and she always advertises in Cleveland Magazine. I’ve always thought she was more into beautifying patients – like botox and fillers in a zen environment. We are known for The Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals here in Cleveland, it just seems odd that Yolanda would be advised to remove her implants here at the Feng Clinic, which is hardly internationally known. Like wouldn’t it be one of the first considerations in LA?

I am saying she has far deeper issues than just a misdiagnosis. She exhibits all the obvious signs of Munchausen, which is alarming. However, she makes it very obvious. She is always well enough to film and blog when viewers agree with her. But when things get uncomfortable, i.e. accusing Ken of assault, she cannot read or write or blog. She is there at the reunion for the easy portions, but too unwell to answer for any of her behavior.

Am I the only one here who notices the pattern or are we just pitying her like we do Kim, and various others?

Munchausen? Psychosomatic disease to draw attention to herself – when it has taken her out of the limelight? I don’t buy it (and my pity for Kim is genuine too – so I don’t know what you meant by that comment)

I am wondering if they did look at her implants before – but this was “ultrasound mapping” – perhaps different technology if the leakage was not in an obvious place. Her immune system was already compromised, so I imagine it wouldn’t take a large leak to start making her so unwell.

I am one of those people with an autoimmune disease CRPS that happens to be incurable, extremely painful and often times debilitating. Looking at me you can’t readily identify what is wrong with me but trust me it’s real. When people ask how I am I usually lie and say I’m fine or ok because of people expressing disbelief. I push myself to do things I want to do knowing full well that I will pay for it later ending up in bed sick as hell. I try to have some sort of a normal life when I can because who wants to give up completely even when many days you feel like doing just that.

People like me don’t want to be sick. We’d much rather be living our lives the way we used to instead of running to doctors trying to find cures or at least relief from the symptoms. It’s not in our heads. We don’t have a fucking agenda. We don’t want sympathy. We want to get well.

I really hope that those of you who have never experienced an invisible disease never have to. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. Unless you’ve dealt with this, you’ll never understand. How about giving someone a break until you know for sure they are lying.

This happens on the show Botched, there was a lady that had liquid silicone injections. They have to cut out the silicone. MRI can locate the leaked silicone. Since the silicone in an implant is gel, it should not travel too far.

Doctors say this is extremely difficult to diagnose. I don’t doubt this was overlooked. If she had them done in France it could be really toxic since France used unapproved silicone back then. I am glad someone figured it out. This is something a plastic surgeon would catch, I wonder if she went in for a procedure when she mentioned how old her implants were. On Botched, when Janice Dickenson went to replace her implants from the 70’s the doctors were shocked at how old they were.

At the risk of incurring TT’s wrath, here is my last word on the subject.

Erica, my point is it has not taken her out of the spotlight. There are all the tweets, instagram posts (with increasing nudity, I might add) and the miraculous disappearance of her most severe symptoms just in time for whatever season is filming. Contrast her with Daisy from Blood Sweat and Heels. We got to see her good and bad days without feeling manipulated.

We seem to feel differently about certain people here even if it is very obvious something is not quite right with the story they are shoving down our throats.

She wasn’t on as much this last season compared to her first. I suspect that if her implants were leaking, that affected her ability to fight off the chronic Lyme disease. People just don’t get when you have a multiple diagnosis. One condition can affect the other drastically, and compound how you feel…. and influence what idiots think about you.

Agreed! Just seems a bit convenient the social journal of her rehabilitation. If she is really ill, I wish her the best. But, with all of the access to incredible doctors and her travels all over the world (in a private jet), just seems a bit fishy that no one suspected leakage from her breast implants. She could have saved herself all those trips and seen Adrienne Maloof’s husband. Again, I do not want to be insensitive if she is really ill, but, I am weary of all her semi naked, makeup less, I need a hug posts. Attention seeking.

I still can not believe that with all of the Doctors she has seen, not one thought when looking at her medical history, “20 year old implants, don’t those puppies need to be checked/updated/replaced?”.

    Poor thing.

Doctors suck. You basically have to know what is wrong with you going in or they ignore you. I really need to try again with my new Obama doctor. But I frankly don’t feel well enough to tell them something is wrong AGAIN. So that they can just tell me I am fat and depressed. Apparently, fat and depressed maxes you out on health problems which means I can’t have cancer, or elephant sleeping disease or an alien baby cooking in my colon.

The last time I tried to point out the weird thing poking out of my stomach, that is hard and hurts, the diagnosis was fat and depressed. Doctors suck.

^^this^^. I have had some issues here and there and it is always somehow about my weight. I feel like I could go in bleeding from my ears and they’d tell me all I need to do is go on a diet SMH! The sad thing is that I rarely go to the doctor and I need to go due to some chronic pain.

Yolanda has had something serious going on and I hope that getting the implants removed will make all the difference. As far as all the Instagram and blog activity, I chalked it up to a woman who was feeling more and more sick and isolated and wanting to somehow connect with the world outside her bedroom.

You are so right. Doctors do suck. I am going to see a new one on Monday, and I know I will have to supply a great deal of information for him to “get it” and move on. By the way, I was fat and depressed until my internist put me on thyroid. I have lost nearly 60 pounds and have much less depression. (The internist is one doctor who doesn’t suck too much).

OH my thyroid is “fine” my hormones are “fine” I just gained eleventy billion pounds because I am depressed. Really, I just need to exercise and eat right. These extra 60 pounds are just because I’m lazy.

One more comment from Dr. Rozanna, and that is all. My thyroid has always registered as normal, but my doctor put me on both T3 and T4 anyway, originally to treat for depression. I also lost weight as a fortunate side effect.

I must see the same docs here in Cali. He keeps telling me my Epilepsy would clear right up if I lost 30 pounds. As for the implants, she has prolly told the MDs that she had them, but if they were installed (lol) during the ban on American silicone implants, they would loo, at the implant date and may assume they are saline. Just a thought.

Im in the same boat ats rozanna i put on 30 lbs a year after 4 kids and my throid was fine and hormones were fine as well. Never mind the masses of hair faling out or messed up menstral or hypertension or cyctic acne. The list goes on and on. I finally told the dr. To please put me on the lowest dose of thyroid meds. Thdy were not happy with that because i went from 6 or 7 pills to like 2 pills if that a month. The levothyroxine helped for a while and my lab results were still normal dispite being on thyroid meds. Some of my symptoms lingered so i looked up a different med that was formulated diffrent called armor and 8 months later i feel sooooo much better and i have hair growing back. Dont give up i switched 4 or 5 dr.s till i found the right one that was willing to treat my symptoms and not my lab work. P.s lost 40 lbs in 5 months with new med 50 more to go. Good luck and dont give up i 100% know how you feel. Stand your ground.

You and Rozanne and TT absolutely rock. I’m making my follow up appointment on Monday. I am totally motivated knowing that some of my issues overlap with others who had to keep pushing. It’s funny, because when I share my concerns, everyone wants to say “It’s fine.” “Your within the normal range.” “Others have it worse.” Like who the fuck cares about that anyways? Also, I remember Taylor Armstrong questioning the severity of Yolanda’s health issues on WWHL. So bullshit. Okay, I’ve kicked myself in the ass to keep going. Thanks ladies!

    *speechless* To Yo news.

I hope Yo gets well. She is such a beautiful woman and she seem like a genuinely nice person. I felt so bad for her watching last season.

I can’t help myself, I love Yolanda. I really hope she starts to feel better. Suffering from undiagnosed or “imaginary” conditions suck. There’s only so many times you can be told it’s all in your head before you give up trying…

I agree. She has her funny moments but I really like her dogged focus on finding the cure for herself. It could be so easy to curl up and retreat. Esp when what you are experiencing is something hard to convey to others.

My guess re: the implants diagnosis––when you see a specialty doc, whether western or non-traditional, they often focus on what issues you want to discuss. An intake form might only prompt them to ask “have you had the implants checked?”. And if the patient says “yes, and last year they looked fine”, then they go onto their next item on the list.

I don’t know much about implants but it seems her doctors might have pursued that as a cause of her issues. I do hope their removal will improve her health. It actually surprised me to hear she had implants since she leads such a holistic lifestyle.

Love Yolanda to pieces, I hope this is the cause of all her illness/troubles and she can start to get better. Chronic illnesses are so debilitating, breaks my heart.

Is it possible that the holistic life came after the impants? If so that would not be hypocritical…press on Yolanda…TT is right…people have to damn near fight to get good diagnosis these days..

I am not a Yolanda fan at all, but she was a model turned arm candy to Mohamed, has 3 kids by him, looks pretty and basically kept house. What does she do for current hubby #3…keep house, cater to him, and look pretty. Do you think someone like that would pay attention to her breast implants and how old they are? Remember the last episode of season 4 when Ken told her that she wasn’t that smart before he and Lisa walked out of Kyle’s party?

See to me, your premise would indicate that she would definitely pay attention to her implants, and plan regular upgrades. Her whole job is to stay healthy and look pretty and she has always does a good job of it in the past. A part of her must be terrified that she is no longer able to stay healthy and look pretty. There is always a newer model waiting in the wings…

Yes, I agree. She just posted on instagram that she was free from all toxins, no more nail polish, boobs, highlights, etc., and sadly my first thought was,…uh oh…
