Daily Tea: One Man Choir

July 31, 2015 by tamaratattles 71 Comments

I know y’all need a Daily Tea post to discuss all of your off topic stuff. So please feel free to use the comments below for all of your off topic chatter this weekend

I am stuck in Big Brotherland and can’t seem to stop myself. For those of you who do not share my addiction, the guy in the video above is one of the houseguests, Steve. Steve is an engineer with a deep love of music. He also seems to have a bit of Asperger’s and is having a super hard time in the house with his social game, and the lack of music.

I thought you  guys might enjoy his one man choir.

Now what is going on with you guys?

    1. Suffering from the heat.
    2. Fuming about the murder of that magnificent lion, Cecil, bless him.
    3. Wondering what Tamara thinks of “I Am Cait”.

Ditto on the Seattle thing…*and* we’re moving this weekend. Sold our house and moving into a small rental house while we contemplate our future permanent retirement destination. Not expecting much sympathy as we sold our house while the market was hot, but buying on the high sucks and the inventory is horrible. Anyone want to buy an 800-square-foot house for $400,000? Nah, not ours, but *that’s* what you’re looking at with the Seattle housing market. We’re renting a small 1100 square foot home with one bathroom at $1925/month plus utilities. So the rental market sucks as well. Okay, off to do more packing and less whining….

Calipatti – we definitely considered the RV option but, around here, it felt too much like “homeless” (no offense to folks living in their RVs!). Tamara, I never promised you a rose garden (i.e., guest house) in this city, only in our other favorite country. LOL

There is a Reality show on HGTV that I watch..new and so cool!
Mike Holmes – Home free…9 couples different backgrounds all work on a property – they have to do a full remodel..each week..and at the end of each episode one couple gets eliminated…but the surprise ending..the eliminated couple..gets the brand new awesome remodelled (sp) home..

Such an awesome feel good reality show…plus it is cool to see the couples …flustaered ..tired..angry..then happy..and learning new skills..

Such an awesome show..plus this week is fireworks week and this sunnday is our Pride pareade..finally..

I like Home Free too, I love seeing the eliminated couple get the house. I have to wonder if they are stuck dealing with the bathrooms and roof and everything else they don’t show in each house. Being me I also get annoyed that they don’t show the surrounding neighborhood or school districts, etc. But I love the happy ending anyway.

@Sunday~ An old friend from school who still lives in Atlanta was out shopping yesterday and ran into Todd Chrisley and his youngest. Todd was on the phone, so they waited until he finished and asked if they could take a photo. She said that he could not have been nicer about it. She said he is just as funny and witty as he is on TV. Another friend said that about Kim and Kroy in Wal-Mart back during the holidays. I like hearing when “celebrities” are kind to their fans.

Luckily, he will be spending the night with my parents tonight, so I get to have adult time.
The sperm donor,my x husband, of course had bigger and better plans for the weekend so he backed out of his duties. #loser. I settled when I agreed to marry him,I was in my late 20’s, he was sexy and well off. I have a great kid out of it, but without my parents I would be SOL.
    Everyone have a great weekend!

hey loriflack, I have helped my mom with both knees, one last year, one this past March. They had her up the same day walking and stretching. She was in hospital for three days then off to rehab for a week. She didn’t need a ton of painkillers and she did great in rehab both times. She had outpatient rehab for about five weeks after and has done great ever since! I think it was her competitive attitude towards rehab that really helped, she loved doing more than they thought she could! Good luck to you, I’m sure you can do just as well!

As someone with a decade or two of teaching experience, I feel safe to say Steve is “on the spectrum” as they say. He’s a touch Aspy… which is why I totally lost my mind when Jace was SCREAMING at him to LOOK ME IN THE EYE! Augusten Burroughs, one of my favorite authors wrote a book about his life with Asperger’s called Look Me In The Eye it’s a great story on it’s own, and very informative about Asperger’s.
