Due to technical difficulties, I’ll be recapping tonight and I’m off to a late start. Sorry for the unavoidable delay. I’m going to make it quick to get this up, ASAP.
We start with Vanessa freaking out about still being HOH. Vanessa, as a recruit, really doesn’t understand how HOH works. If she talks about blood on her hands, or taking a blood bath one more time I will scream. An equally stupid Clay seeks out Johnny Mack to whine to about having to win POV to get off the block. Jmac is not amused by his anguish considering Clay has asked him to go through this more than once.
Austin is all confused about James throwing the veto. He still believes Steve is the target. Later in bed Austin and Liz finally kiss. I don’t think that Liz is as against this as she like to put on. I’ve seen her pawing him at night. At the very least, she sends mixed signals. Poor Austin is clueless about her lack of feelings for him.
They show some of Steve’s hijinks with the camera in the hammock room played with romantic music in the background. Steve has a showmance with the camera late at night. I have no gif of that, but Julia was flipping out over the gif above where she said Steve was being creepy in the shower. Steve is quite the character. In other news, he has a secret, and I have a strong feeling that Steve used to work for BB production. He is very fond of the diary room people. I think he is very excited because he finally got to be on the other side of the camera.
The Veto Comp
The veto comp was long and ridiculously boring. They had to roll a ball back and forth 250 times without letting it fall off the incline. Clay won. It seemed to take hours. The balls were nuts and the players were in squirell costumes. On the feeds, everyone was talking about how hot it was in the squirrel suit. There was so much concern about the heat they actually told them to take their hats off and undo their costumes. Becky’s face was blood red for a half hour after and she went straight to the DR and cried alone for quite a while after losing. The only interesting thing was that Steve was deeply enjoying watching Becky fail and cry. He loved it. He did a DR about how much he loved watching her suffer. For a moment I thought this might mean Jason will get his vote this week, but then I remember the reason he hates Becky is that Becky and Jason were making fun of him in the bathroom and hurt his feelings. Jason was the one doing most of the trash talking so who knows how Steve will vote. He will probably save Becky like Vanessa will tell him to, but he did throw a hinky vote during the Jeff eviction. You never know with Steve.
Vanessa lost her mind the last few days because as HOH they kept on and on calling her to the DR. It pisses her off because she has to put on makeup. If she knew how many times she has been on TV with a mud mask beard, I don’t think she’d bother with makeup for DR as much.
Vanessa tells Liz that Austin was trying to sell out Julia to Jason. Liz already knew. This is such a ridiculous reason to put up your own alliance member. Everyone makes side deals. Basically, Austin just tried to get Jason to agree that it he goes after the twins he takes out Julia before Liz so he could be with his true love in jury. It seems like a reasonable request to me. But Vanessa makes is seem like Austin is tearing the twins apart. Fake drama. Liz knew this. I can’t bear to watch this again. And Liz goes overboard trying to distance herself from Austin saying she doesn’t even like him. She’s lying. She does everything she can to keep Austin off the block. She keeps trying to tell them that Austin is a number and he can’t be backdoored.
Vanessa tells Austin she is going to back door him while fake crying. Austin begs for his life. Vanessa goes back and forth about what to do eleventy billion times before the POV comp. I know because I spent hours watching every nerve-wracking moment. Vanessa and her constant need for a “reason” to put people on the block is ridiculous.
Austin chats with Clelli and says the only reason he had the conversation with Jason was because he is in love with Liz and wants her to stay in jury with him. It was not about game. Shelli, though nauseating to watch, is smart enough to know that YOU DON’T VOTE OUT AN ALLIANCE MEMBER unless they do something really bad. This was not really bad and Austin is still loyal. Shelli will have to handle the situation with Vanessa. Which she does. After HOURS of convincing Vanessa.
The winners of BotB got a steak dinner and two drinks catered by Outback Steak House. They each took a date. Vanessa takes Becky, Liz takes Austin and James takes Clay. Shelli was forced to pout alone on slop.
At the POV meeting, Vanessa says, ” This was hands down the most difficult decision I’ve had to make in the game yet, partly because I adore this person (BTW EVERYONE except 6th sense is totally expecting Austin to go up.) they are someone who I know on the outside of this house I’d be friends with, they have a great sense of humor, a wonderful heart and they are an all around great individual. And with that said, JASON, take a seat.”
Meg, Jackie, Jason, James are all SHOCKED.
We end with Vanessa in the DR crying. Austin is celebrating in DR. Jackie is out for blood toward Vanessa. Meg and Vanessa are furious. Jason said that Vanessa is a scumbag bitch and if he stays he is coming for her.
Tomorrow: Both twins enter the game. Will the both get to vote???
