After almost six long months after being found unresponsive in a bathtub in the Roswell condo she shared with Nick Gordon., the family of Bobbi Kriss has announced her death.
An attorney for the family said “Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family, She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”
Over the past six weeks we have followed this story and been disturbed at all of the circus surrounding this event. On July 16th, it was clear that preparations were being made to let her go. Now, ten days later it has been confirmed that she was finally allowed to RIP.
Unfortunately, this is only the beginning of another chapter as Nick Gordon faces civil action initiated by Krissi’s estate. Krissi’s attorneys have presented evidence that Nick was siphoning funds from Krissi’s trust fund and the suit also outlines details of a violent fight between Nick and Krissi shortly before she drowned. For details of the suit, click here.
Finally, the Roswell Police have an open investigation into the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown and Nick has been questioned on more than one occasion.
Sadly, in my opinion, even if Nick Gordon is ultimately responsible for the actions that led to Krissi losing her life, there were so many others who contributed.
May she finally rest in peace.
It’s sad but probably for the best. I feel such sadness for Cissy Houston. Hopefully everyone will be at peace now.
So sad. May she finally find peace.
So sad, I remember when Whitney was pregnant with her and how excited she was. To see how it all ended is just really sad.
This is so heartbreaking that it happened and at the same time a relief that she is at peace. I was watching a video of someone singing I will always love you in memory of her Mom and Bobbi K was in the audience crying. It just broke my heart. I hope they are together and if there was ANYTHING that was amiss here (and I believe there def was in so many ways) that it will be addressed in this world but def the next. RIP sweet angel.
This whole circumstance is just incredibly tragic. May she rest in peace, indeed. She definitely deserves rest and peace.
RIP
Now let there please be justice.
Thank you Tamara.
RIP Bobbi Kristina! You were a part of a very tragic cautionary tale.
Cissy buried her daughter and now she must bury her granddaughter. I wish her courage and strength.
The press will eulogize and analyze Krissi’s short life the next few days. There is a lot of judgement to go around especially for Bobby and Whitney. However, with such instability in her young life I hope the press will refrain from judging Krissi too harshly. She was only 22 years old. RIP Bobbi Kristina Houston Brown.
No words … 🙁
So sad..so inevitable. I will be grateful to not have to hear about the Brown family and their classless behavior anymore. R.I.P. Bobbi, you never had a chance.
So tragic. She was so young and she fiercely loved her Mom and now they are reunited. Prayers for this family.
RIP sweet girl. I am sure as you crossed mommy was there to wrap her arms around you.
I’ve been reading this blog for over two years and think it’s awful they didn’t use all that money to help her. If it were me and my daughter, I’d want every dime I left behind to save my child. My Father was in hospice and it was horrible. My Mother had her first heart attack there (which they saw coming and said nothing). My mother and I just sat there and waited. They treated her like shit. She had a heart attack , they knew it, I didn’t.
I hate this story and it’s even worse because she was just a kid with major resources and it sounds like her family was more interested in the money than her, If she were my child I would have done anything. I understand many disagree, but I would have used all my resources to save her.
Barbara, Krissi died on January 31 after she drowned in a bathtub. She has been a financial football for SIX MONTHS before finally being able to pass. There is nothing that could be done but the fighting over the money. Krissi was dead in January. Her life was prolonged exactly long enough for a settlement between the Browns and the Houstons that was reached a month ago. Check out the archives here for info.
I totally agree with you Tamara. I’m a nurse and it was very clear from the onset what was going on. This poor girl suffered only in the extent that she was left…her body only…to lay there until they could come to some kind of agreement. This is all very, very sad and I think there were many that ultimately contributed to her death. Sad. I’m glad she is finally at peace.
I suspect, at least in Bobby’s case (not the rest of his family) that he was in a little bit of denial – he made a statement about Bobbi K looking at him, if I’m not mistaken. Which she could have been in a state at one point where her eyes were open and moving. Ugh. I can understand wanting to hold out hope even the logical part of you knows it is right to let her body go – especially since rumors I’ve read are that he and Krissie were at loggerheads because he disapproved of Nick. (His instincts were right, sadly)
RIP Bobbi Kristina. I lost my Mom at an early age, and there are some things you never recover from. I pray you are at peace and with your Mom and grandpa. Thinking of the Brown and Houston families and saying a prayer for strength and comfort…
May she rest in peace! Thank you Tamara for always posting with love and respect!
I for one am glad that this tragedy for Bobbi Kristina has come to an end. She is no longer in limbo and whatever that has entailed for her for the last six months. She has been set free to move on from this earthly life. It is over and peace for her can begin. Rest easy now Bobbi Kristina, your time here is done.
My heart breaks. Tomorrow I will do my best to be a better parent than I was today. …..
A sad end to a sad life. Unfortunately, the circus will continue with (I assume) an autopsy and legal action civil and possibly criminal against Nic Gordon. Hopefully the financial side of the estate was pre-settled between the different families, avoiding an undignified circus on that front.
This is so heartbreaking ! This didn’t have to happen , why didn’t someone force her into getting help ? Cissy did that with Whitney !! When she was on the reality show with her so called Aunt , you could see the girl was out of it !!! Funny, I don’t blame Bobby his hand’s have been tied for years ! Rip Krissy !
I agree Deb, I saw some of the show after she drowned. I could see she was was on some type of downer. If I could see it so could her family. I know her brain died in January, I am having problems with her body being deprived of food and water for four weeks. I have heard it is painful and they give people in vegetative states morphine to make them comfortable. Very confusing to me.
They would not have deprived her of water. They would have kept her comfortable. They stop treatment where it concerns life saving methods but they don’t starve or make someone suffer from thirst. Hospice is not a punishment…it is a place to give comfort care to those who are dying and have no hope of recovery. The hospice workers don’t care about her money…they are very special people who only care for the comfort of their patients. Any place that does otherwise should be closed down. I have a child currently in hospice…they are wonderful people who make him comfortable and care for him.
Marilyn, thank you. I really appreciate your answer very much. I made the mistake of seeing this elsewhere. I have been really concerned about this, in addition to others things they have done. I am very sorry your child is in hospice. My Mom used to volunteer her time in hospice, I thought it was a place to make one comfortable, then I read something else. Bless you for taking the time to answer. D
Dear Merilyn ~ Words are so inadequate, but from one fellow human being to another, I am truly sorry for the situation that you find yourself in. I can’t imagine what you are enduring, but I can imagine that it’s very, very hard.
<3<3<3
Dear Marilyn, I have been thinking about you and your child. I am sincerely sorry. Since I read your message I have looked in to hospice and I see each patient is given the care they need based on their condition. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.. It is so kind of you. Dee
So sorry to hear about what your family is going through. Merilyn. You’re in my thoughts.

Merilyn,
I am so, so sorry to hear about your child. Truly I will say a prayer for your family and for you. Know that people care.
Merilyn, strength & peace be with you & your child. Thank you for speaking up for hospice and their people (some volunteer) who do incredible work with incredible love.
Merilyn I don’t know why, while I spelled your name right my cell kept putting an a in there. I just noticed and wanted to let you know it is not intentional. I have thought about you and your child a lot since your post. It has helped in more ways than one.
I blame Bobby!!!! If his druging and legal issues were not enough to embarrass his children, putting it on tv for monetary gain was cruel. Imagine the horror of seeing your parents behaving so badly and then showing the world on top of it. They were terrible role models. I would of been surprised if her life had been any different. So, Bobby hands were tied??? Is that why he made her lifeless body endure God knows what at the expense of more money. Obviously he has no self respect or respect for his children. I think he’s the worst kind of parent. Go spend that all important dollar Bobby that you got from the pain of this child. May she finally rest in peace.
His hands were tied in terms of her addictions and her relationship with Nick Gordon – she was 18 when her mother died, and he was/is not in charge of Whitney’s estate or the trust for Bobbi Kristina. In fact, with that – I am assuming that there would be some question about who would have the legal authority to sign off on taking Bobbi Kristina off of life support, especially with her frequent posts calling Nick her “husband” (I am guessing that some attorneys were looking into that with a fine tooth comb) A 22 year old just wouldn’t have a DNR or a living will.
So very sad.
~~ I have a vivid mental of her video, I’m Every Woman.
She was dancing, singing and smiling so gorgeously.
She was pregnant with Bobby Kristina during it all…everything
seemed right with the world ~~
Whatever money any of them (some Browns and some Houstons) get from her death, they won’t be able to enjoy it. Funny how that works. RIP BK.
A sad ending to a sad story.
I feel like its Deja vu. Anna Nicole died shortly after the death of her son. Krissi (she hated the name Bobbi Kris) dies shortly after her mother. Drugs and grief kills. I had so hoped TT’s earlier blogs was incorrect but once again Tamara called this from the get go. I know better than question her sources but………i wanted Krissi to pull thru. RIP
RIP. Poor girl.
When I first saw Bobbie Kristina and how high she was on “Houstons On Our Own”, I knew she was in deep trouble…finally she can be at peace…tears running down my cheeks right now.
Very, very sad. May she RIP.
And may Nick Gordon be held accountable and prosecuted to the full extent of the law if it’s proven he had anything to do with Bobbi K’s death. I am happy to know the Browns and the Houstons (or the trustees) are pursuing action against him. Maybe now that she has passed the authorities will step on him more forcefully.
Thanks for the great reporting on this, Tamara. You have been my go-to on this since it happened in January. I appreciate the balanced approach you’ve taken and all the accurate info you’ve given us on this sad story.
Glad she was allowed to finally be let go. I hope Bobby chokes on whatever extra $$ he gets from this. He’s an idiot he will be broke again soon.
I wish when Bobbi was a baby her parents realized what their destructive behavior was doing to their child.
Hopefully, this whole situation can be a wake up call to someone to get clean.
Poor Cissy!
I would like to see them give all the money to charity, preferably one that provides rehab to drug addicted parents.
We’re not holding our breath, are we, Jen? I volunteer as a Guardian ad Litem and advocate for children who are in foster care. In three years, EVERY case of neglect / child endangerment I have worked has involved a drug-addicted parent or partner, often cross-addicted…alcohol and pills…heroin and pot…spice and pills. Treatment and therapy, even transportation, are free to those parents. They refuse, lie, deny, deflect until they lose their children, or DSS gives up and returns their children after minimal, temporary progress. Substance abuse is a destroyer.
May she rest in peace. I hope that people do not start accusing someone of her death until ALL of the facts are out and that the forensic pathologist completes their autopsy. I pray for peace in the family.
Maybe the true blessing out of such a trajedy is that Bobbi Kristana is deliver from years of what her mother suffered and called to a better place that we do not know in our present state because we ate not dead and cannot conprehend,? God Bless Kristina’s soul…may u have a better life in a better realm..God Bless the family for letting her go…her world was set up for such trajedy… May God’s will for her be done..Amen.
Just read that Bobbie Kristina’s death has been ruled a homicide and Nick Gordon a “person of interest.” Poor child.
Are you a very slow reader?

Ha! I can’t even deny it
Tamara, you are so funny! Wondering, did you ever see a blind item about her and Nick about 10 monthe before she drowned? I just saw it and wondered what your thoughts were. Thank you
