Why is Bravo already doing PR for September? It just drives home the point that summer is almost over! We need to get out there and enjoy summer while it is here, people! It makes me kind of want to go out there in the sweltering heat and lay out on my back like a beached whale and get some sun on my ginormous gunt. Almost. You know, vitamin D therapy and all.
Anyway, everyone is back from last season, both Joshes and the two Brits. I went into the Brits’ first season with a negative attitude toward them. I had Piers Morgan syndrome. I just can’t stand foreigners like Piers coming over here and being given a huge platform to explain US politics to us. By the way, Piers is getting a beat down on Twitter today. I’m not that familiar with the particulars. Okay wait, now I am, I just read Piers Morgan’s piece on Daily Mail. The short version is that Nicki Minaj had a Kanye West type meltdown on Twitter saying her Anaconda video was not nominated for Video of the Year because she is not a skinny white girl. Which makes no sense at all, so Piers is being dragged for pointing that out. It seems he really pissed people off by claiming that there is a group of rabid people on Twitter he referred to as “black twitter.” So he was sort of asking for it. If you click the hashtag, you will see a bunch of people with black avatars are reaming his ass. So… because of my general disdain for him, it’s kind of fun to watch even if, in my not so humble opinion, he is right about Nicki Minaj and her feelings of entitlement. It’s such a bad look for an artist to have a hissy fit over not being nominated and to take it further and claim it is because of how she looks rather than her actual body of work. Anyway. I went way off course. This is about #MDLLA! The point was supposed to be I now love the Brits on the show. They are both kind of adorable.
Here’s the PR…
NEW YORK – July 22, 2015 – Bravo Media, which recently earned its second consecutive Emmy® nomination for “Million Dollar Listing New York,” premieres a supersized episode of “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” on Wednesday, September 2 from 10-11:15pm ET/PT. In season eight, Josh Altman, Josh Flagg, James Harris, and David Parnes return to a market completely transformed by skyrocketing prices and inventory at an all-time low. This “seller’s paradise” is a realtor’s nightmare as outrageous demands force the agents to get wildly creative and even more cutthroat. Luckily, a slew of wealthy international buyers have flooded the market and celebrities are on the prowl for bigger, hotter, and more exclusive properties…and the sky’s the limit on the price tag. For a sneak peek of what’s to come, please click: http://bravo.ly/1MklQHf
The pressure is on for top-producing agent Josh Altman, who joined real estate powerhouse Douglas Elliman and has pledged to sell “a million dollars of real estate a day.” But that extra burden doesn’t jive with fiancée and co-worker Heather Bilyeu, who is eager to rebuild their relationship after calling off the wedding.
I forget what excuse they gave for calling off the wedding, but if Heather thinks Josh is ever going to put her before work, she might as well just walk away.
Still reeling from the death of his beloved grandmother, Edith, Josh Flagg has committed to honoring her memory by “always moving forward.” With boyfriend Colton at his side, Flagg is more aggressive than ever as he aims to become LA’s top-selling real estate agent.
I am not a Colton fan. Are you?
The Brits, David Parnes and James Harris, are back after a record year of sales and are determined to make their British Invasion bigger than ever. David’s burgeoning commitment to his girlfriend, Adrian, has prompted him to build a dream house for them to live in and he just might get to do so if his business partner James doesn’t sell the property behind his back first. For James, the demands of his job tug against the responsibility he has for his wife and two young daughters. When work stress mounts, the Brits lash out, causing them to not only clash with competing agents, but also each other.
OH NOE! I don’t like it when Daddy and Daddy fight! 🙁
Are you looking forward to MDLLA? Who is your favorite agent?
I adore this show. I’m kind of obsessed with California since I was there last Christmas for my brother’s wedding in Beverly Hills. Sigh.
Anyway, Flagg is my absolute favorite. Although he is just as arrogant as Altman, he doesn’t give off the slimeball, snake-in-the-grass vibe that Altman does. I guess it’s because when I first started following him on Twitter he tweeted out a picture of himself in his cushy office lighting and burning $100 bills and it just pissed me off. Bad.
Josh Flagg had such a sweet relationship with Edith and I miss watching them together. He adored her and I did too. Flagg can be kind of a shithead at times but I love him.
Can’t wait to oogle the beautiful real estate in Cali !
Ditto Jaxed. I didn’t like the Brits at first, but now I do. I am definitely not feeling the new San Fran show; however.
Do you think they’ll somehow get Adrienne Maloof to list her house?
It’s already listed as a rental. I’m pretty sure I posted about that here recently in some sort of collective tea post.

I read the post, but I’m hoping they persuade her to sell.
I watch all three Million Dollar Listings, but intermittently. My favorite on LA is definitely Flagg, although I will miss his relationship with his grandmother. Don’t much care for Colton. Can’t stand Altman. I think Heather should look elsewhere for a husband. I liked that beach boy guy who is no longer on the show. I think Flagg works because he loves to, not because he has to. All of these guys are fun to watch because they are so driven. Maybe it’s time for a woman to be on one of these shows.
As long as it’s not Altman’s Heather. Blegh.
I love Josh Flag. Altman is an A-Number 1 Douche Bag! I haven’t totally warmed up to the Brits yet.
I love the Million Dollar Listing Shows. TT I feel exactly the same about the Brit thing. It irritates me to no end. But I have found that I love these two. Quirky and weird. I think they are mostly American (jk). So excited for this show to come back because I am missing NY.
Thinking Colton and Josh just don’t seem like salt and pepper. He seems sweet enough but maybe a little too sweet. Too young, something. Can’t quite put my finger on it yet.
Anyway, can’t wait. So bored with Bravo this summer except maybe Luann. LOL
Damn TT, I’ve been out of pocket for a few days and you have just been on a roll. I feel like I’ve now been properly caught up on all the tea!
Anyways glad to see LA boys coming back. Until this show I had no idea how utterly breathtaking and unreal the real estate is in Beverly Hills/Hollywood etc. If I was wealthy I’d much prefer to live out there than NYC. Flagg is my fav, but I like all the guys including Altman! I hated him at first but he grew on me (hate Heather though) Especially when he took Flagg out to lunch after Edith passing. In thought that was very gracious and classy of him.
I like Josh Flagg the most. He can be arrogant at times but I love his quirky ways and he can be really funny and witty. I don’t know why but I just want to laugh when they show Colton. His voice and looks are just comical to me, (not nice I know, but I can’t help it). I don’t find them to be a good match at all.
Love Josh Flagg and I will miss Grandma Edith pulling lightbulbs out of her bra.
OMG, that was the best. He wasn’t even shocked and he changed it for her. They both could have paid someone to do a lightbulb but it shows their down to earth nature. Josh Flagg is by far my favorite, he is such a ding dong and doesn’t mind shaving his own head. I loved his relationship with his grandmother, it was very sweet and she really was his best friend. Cannot atand Colton, no use for him, and I do not think he is a good match for Josh, not sure there is anyone i wold choose. The Brits both crack me up and annoy me in equal parts. Josh Altman is an asshole, like a serious one and I am not sure what Heather sees in him.
I have to go with Flagg. I also definitely Madison. Can’t get into the Brits. As far as Colten I think he’s pretty patient and balances out Josh. We will see this year. Altman will never grow on me and Heather needs to walk. I like Altmans brother better
Couldn’t stand the Brits, I stopped watching last season. I was really hoping Madison woukd come back. I miss him.
I’ve only watched a few episodes (none from last season) but I love Josh Flagg & his grandma. I freaked out when I saw a preview that she passed. What a woman! I’ll probably start watching now because peer pressure…
hurray! This is my favorite Listing show. Probably because it’s in my back yard so I am always saying, I know that road! I agree, Colton seems like a gold digger to me, but if he makes Josh happy, I guess I will approve. When we left the other Josh he was about to make a gazillion dollar deal on some beach and that meant even more time at work. I don’t think that marriage is going to happen. My favorite is Josh Flagg. I could be his mom!
I loved the episode in which David and James were happy to put on tiara’s, at James’ little girls’ tea party.
Altman’s my favorite! He’s a local guy!
Wait, what happened to Josh Altman and his brother’s real estate company, the Altman Brothers or something like that? He left for Douglas Elliman?
Thanks so much for broadening my horizons. Piers should have known better. I just joined twitter, so I could follow Tamara. I said something nice about Leann Rimes. WOW, I am shocked by all the emails I am now getting. I did not realize what a Brandiloon was. I don’t think I understood how twitter worked. sigh…I think I will slink off to start a new account 🙂
Flagg is my favorite–hands-down!! But that’s only because my dear, sweet Madison is no longer on the show. I’m carrying a torch that one day he will return!! Altman’s an ass. He’s effective at closing the deal, but there is something slippery and sneaky about him. Fredrik from MDLNY is a closer as well, but not in a slimy way. The Brits….eh…..they’re alright I guess. I don’t feel strongly either way for them.
