According to TMZ, Lisa Vanderpump has added two mini horses to her pet menagerie. Ken apparently had them flown in on a private jet. Horses on a plane! Do people even do that? I assume that Arabians got here by boat and are bred here. Anyway, we will see the whole thing on RHOBH next season.
TMZ says that Lisa is wants the horses to be therapy horses in hospitals. I thought that sounded ridiculous, how can you have a horse in a hospital? But then I thought about it, and they do allow dogs and other pets in as therapy. So I looked it up and found this site which shows photos of mini-horses in hospitals working with kids. So cute!
Apparently the mini-horses come in the house too! But another thing I don’t get is how TMZ says they will be staying in the yard. Is her yard even fenced? Did they build a stable? I have so many questions.
Who is the mini-horse expert here? I don’t know much about horses. I was invited to go horseback ridng by some people who knew my parents in Libya. I had a healthy fear of horses. My mother was against pretty much everything. When the horse owners left, they wanted to give me their Arabian. Looking back, they probably saw how much it would have helped me to have a pet and a hobby. But my Mama cockblocked that right away. It was not expensive to have horses in Libya. We just weren’t much of a pet family once we started traveling. And going out to care for them would have been a commitment. Even though the horses were kind of passed around amongst the ex-pats when they moved to their next assignment.
Anyway. The other thing I discovered is that there is some sort of surplus of mini-horses. Rather than paying thousands and flying them in via private plant with the seats removed, you can rescue them like dogs and cats. Do not Google “miniature horse rescue’ or you will find yourself with one very soon. They are so cute. Maybe Banjo needs a mini-horse?
TMZ says that Lisa has not named them yet and will let “her friends” (the cast?) help name them. TMZ recommended Brandi as a good name. Oh the shade of it all.
I love LVP’s birthdays. They are always over-the-top and fabulous. Maybe she can give Jax a new career as a stable boy.
Was sort of expecting to click the link, see some horses, say “ehhh, cute.” But wow!! They are like precious little blue eyed angels!
I think the ponies came from Lisa to Ken for his 70th birthday. Now all they need is Brandi and they’d have a full on zoo. Yay ponies!
Hmm you are right. I misread birthday gifts FOR Ken as birthday gifts FROM Ken. Because I seriously doubt Kne wanted ponies and the TMZ story was about Lisa wanting them to be therapy horses.
So I stand corrected. Lisa bought herself mini horses for Ken’s Birthday! 🙂

LOL, that’s like me having the bf take us to Morro Bay for my anniversary present to him.
I know Lisa loves animals and so will take good care of these beautiful little beings throughout their lives.
In my town they would take them away from you.
But it is o.k. to behead a goat in your front yard in front of a school bus full of children in a santeria ritual.
Well that is something I haven’t seen in my hood yet… #ThingsToLookForwardTo #GoatBeheadings

This is so nice to wake up to. I clicked on the link, the smiles on the peoples faces were priceless. The ponies were adorable. Nice way to start the day. Thanks so much for sharing.
I work as a Homecare nurse and my boss use to have two mini horses. He would bring them to the nursing homes and the residents loved it. They helped them to open up and to help socialize the residents. He had about an acre of land that was fenced in. The horses would just roam around and inside of the house! They were so friendly and well mannered. And easy to transport too! He had an SUV and one horse was able to fit in there comfortably !
Michaela Salahi received a beautiful horse named Sparkles for her birthday, too! It had to be returned at day’s end, though, I bet.
the miniature horses are so cute ! not only do I think that’s a really cute gift, but that’s awesome if she uses them as therapy horses. I look forward to seeing that on rhobh. also i think naming one of the horses brandi is really an insult to the horse, they deserve better : )
Giggy might get jealous. That’s a sweet idea, using them in hospitals. I haven’t seen any at mine, but we do get a lot of dogs. I wonder if they are going to film her getting them for the show. Hope so!
Will she dress them up in outfits that match Giggy’s?
“Will she dress them up in outfits that match Giggy’s?” She is Lisa Vanderpump! Of course she will. I just feel sorry for her poor maid who will have to clean up horse poo in the house all day.
Yes. They will probably have matching pink ruffled canopied beds(stalls?) In my next life I want to be one of LVP’s pets
“In my next life I want to be one of LVP’s pets”
OMG, me too!
Oh of course they filmed in LisaMia. 🙂

Teeny horses flown in by jet to bring joy to little kids in a hospital. Now that’s the Reality TV story line I want to see. 🙂
That link almost brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for sharing Tamara! Can’t wait to see them next season.
TT you are so right, those horses + the kids and the elderly people are just adorable! I WANT one (lol) although I know I can’t get one. But looking at the smiles they bring just makes me feel warm all over. They make you forget (for a minute) all of the evilness that’s going on in the world. Thanks for sharing.
I want a mini horse! I would buy a little mini saddle and a little mini monkey jockey and my life would be complete!
Oh Lord, Rebecca. As a future tenant (squatter) on your property. I need all the horseshit, happy as it may be. And we will not be having horses in the fucking house.

Thank God cooler heads prevailed here. I have enough horseshit in my life. XOXO
Wow Lisa looks fabulous in her bathing suit.
I volunteered with ponies and special needs kids, they can bring so much joy into the lives of patients!
Tamara, I had a horse in Tripoli. They were amazing. If she was tacked up Western (as she was when I rode), she’d do barrels for me. The woman who owned her before rode English and then Red was a “jumper”. I hate that you didn’t get one. We might have met at the stables.
I only recall going there one time. It wasn’t particularly pleasant. Not because of the horses, but for what I am discovering in therapy was my mother’s constant pessimism. I have idea where I got that from. 🙂

The jet better be pink.
Yes horses do fly on planes.. Here in Canada we ship/fly horses from the U.S. and Mexico all the way to Japan for them to slaughter and eat.. Lovely eh? And yes there are tons of mini horse rescues, and thats because they are the pocket puppy of the horse world.. They are so cute and cuddly.. But are lots of work and lots of money in upkeep.. So they are bought on a whim and then tossed! .. Hopefully Lisa and Ken keep them 🙂
Interesting, Kemper. Thanks.

Oh, LVP will take the best care of those horses! She’s not scared of (hiring someone to do) a little hard work.
Those little mini horses looked so darn cute running around in Lisa’s yard! (as per the video they showed on TMZ).I can’t wait to see them on RHOBH.
A friend of Lisa’s found the horses at my ranch in Texas, Little America, and arranged for the transport on Monday for Ken’s birthday. They couldn’t have a better home I am sure and hope someday to get to visit them. Meanwhile, we have close to 175 miniatures at littleamericaminis.com in Buda (Austin, Texas)
So you continue to breed and sell them for thousands while others go to slaughter, why?
I want a mini-horse! They are adorable. Thank god Lisa and Ken are the type of pet owners that aren’t stupid enough to try to keep them indoors. And yes – they will have to be securely fenced. The coyotes here have grown pretty brazen.
YES! Lisa buying Ken what she wanted for his birthday is Awesome! she is saving the children! They are awesome people!
um, in case you are brand new…

Oh how sweet of ken! I’m jealous! I’ve only seen the miniature horses being used as companion pets kinda like a seeing eye pet or something! They are adorable!
