Real Housewife of Vancouver’s Daughter’s Baby Daddy Killed in Gang Violence!

Jody Claman's Daughter Mia in hospital
Jody Claman’s Daughter Mia in hospital

A long while back, I posted some things about the Real Housewives of Vancouver. See the post HERE. Back in 2012, I was THRILLED to get  51 comments. The reason for all the comments is because I mocked “Canookian Gangs.”  I was new to blogging and people didn’t get I was kidding about “Canookians” but I did sort of mean that Canadian gangs didn’t seem that threatening. Because, Canada. Canada is full of nice people. I’ve been nice in the biblical way with a few Canookians. The concept of Canookian gangs bemused me. But, I was quickly informed IT’S A REAL THING IN VANCOUVER. And that a housewife had a real connection. And I got some of my very first antagonistic comments from “Canonookian Ganstas!” Above is Jody Claman’s (RHOV) kid in hospital after getting shot by gang members. ALLEGEDLY. That was in 2014.

The Realhouses of Vancouver Could Be Mobwives of Vancouver!

From Huffington Post Canada

In  2014:

Deakin, 28, was shot on the weekend as she stood outside a Vancouver gas station with a male companion. He fled the scene and was later arrested on an outstanding warrant. Vancouver police did not confirm his identity, but they issued a general warning to young women to avoid hanging out with gangsters.

Deakin required surgery for “serious injuries” to her shoulder, said police.

No one has been arrested in the shooting, and police have not said who was the intended target.

So um, yeah. The cops say don’t hang out with gangsters. Really. Anyway, moving on..

The news today from the UK site Reality Box. is her baby daddy and ALLEGED Canookian gansta (I am not giggling! Hands Up Don’t Shoot! ) Was killed by Canookian Ganstas. (straight face, seriously don’t kill me) .

Mia’s boyfriend and baby’s father Jeffrey Chang was found dead in an alleged drug overdose. Sources tell the Vancouver Sun it was a drug overdose. An autopsy is being done on the body to confirm cause of death.

Barb McLintock from the coroners office said, “I can confirm to you that the death of a person by that name was reported to us in the early morning hours of July 3rd.”

McLintock continues, “We are still working to determine a definite cause of death.”

Mia and Jeffrey survived a 2014 shooting which left Mia seriously hurt. Jeffrey was a well known gangster in Vancouver. He was in the Independent Soldiers and Wolfpack gangs in Vancouver. Most likely he was probably always in and out of trouble.

Mia took to Instagram to share a message to her late boyfriend. “Goodbye my darling my love my soul! We will meet again one day soon my handsome man … not one moment will go by that I won’t think about you my everything.”

Listen to the police, people. Don’t date a gansta! Even and Canookian one! And in 2012 when I had like two dozen people reading here, the Canookian gangs already had it in for me. I hope this doesn’t piss too many of them off. I only have 11 in the clip and the rifle with the laser guide before I am in trouble here in my ghetto.

It is way too late for me to be working. I hope this post makes sense.

I had been wondering about this story. I looked high and low for something but apparently these gangs fight on a news blog and were leaking small details on his death yet nothing official. Sad and crazy story, in the end that baby will pay the highest price with the loss of his father however he may have passed.

Yes! The baby would have had SO MUCH of a better with a gangbanger daddy!

Oh i feel ya tt i just ment he will pay the price for who his parents are period. Not just the fact that he died but also because he was not a responsible parent or adult. Dead or alive i mean man the odds are against him. Besides his dad was gang banging that means his mom and him will become the next targets. At least thats how i understood the the street code in gangs.

By any chance Tamara are you trying to say that these Mia and Jeffrey people maybe should have considered getting their asses out of the Canook gangs back in 2012 when Mia’s ass got shot the 1st time? Possibly had they done so the kid might have a father that would be around while he grows up instead of dead due to alledgedly gang activity? Is that even remotely what you’re trying to say?

    *Lives in Vancity.
Anyways I do remember last year when the headline read something like ”
RHOV Daughter shot in drive by at gas station” I didn’t pay much attention but this posts brings some light to it. Sad news though.

BUT, I have to say I enjoyed both Seasons of RHOV, Ronnie was a complete drunken mess and probably had more money than any housewife in any city down south and Jody was a crazy witch. I always kind of hope a S3 comes to life some day.

When did Mia have a second child? I mean other than the one that everyone was pretending was her little sister.

I hope and pray for s3 but I don’t think it’s going to happen. Supposedly Jody’s lawsuits were real? How did they miss having that in the contract like they do on EVERY OTHER city? Jody destroyed the show. Reiko and Christina both left because of her, and word on the street is there was (and never will be) no s3 due to Jody holding the producers hostage with lawsuits. And then they give her a spot on Top Chef?!

Well I didn’t giggle (because I’m snarky too and get your funny) anyway I held it in until the second to last paragraph where the gangs name was announced. The Wolfpack, because then I thought of the hangover. You know he was the lone wolf but they became the Wolfpack. See if I ever go to Canada I would probably be killed at the hands of a canookan gang member for laughing uncontrollably at him for being in the Wolfpack. Also because of my giggles I read the name Mclintoc as matlock.

Well after reading this I followed your link and read your post and comments from 2012. I started reading here when I googled chateau you know who because you we’re mentioned on a website that you are on good terms with. Anyway the comments killed me, especially when you were asked rudely by a canookian gangster to remove yourself from your o.c. Bubble. But the point of my comment is the mention of another blogger in comments, and I googled because you honestly were my first and still my favorite blogger, so Google took me to your blog about picture stealing, that linked me to your post about Kim kardashian. I’ve decided to be the good Tamara tattles reader and spend my day reading beginning with your first blog. Please don’t kick me out for my rambling comments

I read your blog link. The comments were too funny. Personally I lived in Toronto and their crime rate is child’s play compared to the States. You could always tell that I was an American because I would constantly check out my surroundings when out at night. My Canadian friends would be oblivious. I knew British Columbia had some tough economic times but I didn’t realize they had that much gang violence. I find it hard to imagine that their gangs are deadlier than some that are here. Have they met any of the Columbian or Mexican gangs?

It’s a lot of organized crime and they tend not to mess with the general public or do petty stuff. Mostly the public is not in danger, only other gangsters.

Hey guys! As a Canuck (proud term for one who is Canadian) I first too was taken aback by TT saying Canookian. Only for like 3 seconds. Then I was like,”Oh! Maybe she means a kooky Canuck?” I burst out laughing. Most Canadians have a great sense of humour. (humour with 2 u’s is the Canadian way to spell it) If you can’t laugh at yourself, then why bother get out of bed? I just want to assure folks that Canuck is a term we are proud of! In fact, the Vancouver hockey team is called the Vancouver Canucks.
That being said, the gangs and shootings are awful. That is reality in every major city, I’m sure. So sad.
Btw. Can we call Americans Star Spangled Bangers? No? Okay, moving on.

I’d never heard the term “canookian” (Canadian here) so to me it’s like being insulted over being called a fahrvenbagel. It’s not a thing, so who cares? 🙂

Googled it and apparently it means an American who went to school in Canada? How is that insulting to anyone?

SIGH. Canookian is just a word I made up to refer to my Canadian friends. Jesus. Let’s all be outraged.

A few of the “strictest” best organized 1% biker clubs are in Canada. Every major American biker club has a Canadian branch.

I don’t find this mans death sad or a loss to society. He chose his way of life. The young woman now has a chance at a better life if she wants it.

This Canookian loves the word and happy to be called one. Are Canadians really known for being nice? I am in Toronto and find Canadians from the Alantic provinces are the nicest people you will ever meet.

Yes. Canookians are nicer, better educated and healthier than their fat, dumb, ugly neighbors to the south. That is the stereotype. Which is why the concept of Canookian gang bangers just does not compute and I find the thought hysterical.

Loved RHOV. Ronnie was a hot drunk mess, but unbelievably rich! Those canadian gangs are no joke. Side bar Reikos husband from season one was a two time suspect for muder of rival gang members. So crazy. Loved her fabulous ghetto names of her kids. Ashanti and alizee. So unusual for half Japanese/scottish, half indian kids. Lol. Christina was allegedly a proud teenage mistress. So crazy

LOL I lived in Vancouver for YEARS! They have gangs yes, but the majority act like gangsters and look like punk ass wannabe’s.. They wear things like baseball hats that say “Compton” on them, Im guessing thats a city where there are “real gangs”, and plastic gold chains that hang down to their belly buttons that Im sure they bought at the dollar store. The majority of the time they spend at bus and sky train stations trying to intimidate the young and old and steal their fancy running shoes and coats.. Blah! in other words they’re idiots! I wish someone would pick them all up and drop them off where the “real gangs” are, bet it wouldnt take 2 seconds before they pissed their pants and cried for their Mommy..

P.S. Im Canadian and a Newfie to boot.. Nothing you called a Canadian could offend me lol

I lived on the border between Washington State and British Columbia. We used to go to Vancouver often. As I remember it (over 40 years ago), it was a safe, clean, very civilized city. Canadians were (are) very nice and down to earth. It is hard for me to believe there are murderous gangs in that city. It makes me sad.
