A reader stopped by Chateau Sheree today to check out the progress. It doesn’t look like there really is much. I can’t remember if I told you this before or not, but a couple of weeks ago, someone who works at a kitchen cabinet place emailed me to say the Sheree was there and bought thousands and thousands of dollars of cabinetry. The person said that it seems like she must have two kitchens in there. The person also said that she asked about selling some cabinetry that she already had. I assume that is some of the stuff that she put in storage after stripping the Long Island Drive house bare. Well, I just looked at the post with those photos and it looks like she did leave the cabinets there. No idea where she got the ones she wants to sell.
The source said that she put everything on a credit card and the sales person was wondering if it would actually go through, but it did. One thing is clear to me, both Nene and Sheree are going over the top with furnishing their giant homes. Nene had NO FURNITURE when she moved in to her new house. It seems neither of them have any concept of budgeting.
Thanks to the handsome reader who sent in the photos from Chateau Sheree today.
Does anyone know what the property taxes on this home are? It must be costing a fortune to not live there.
$5412.78 property tax for 2014
Omg that’s what I was just about to comment! It will be a miracle if she can afford the taxes.
Tax bills in Fulton County skyrocketed this year, too. Buckle your seatbelt Sheree. I wonder if that tax bill of $5412.78 will jump even higher when she gets the Certificate of Occupancy?
IF you can afford a 10K sqft house, 10K in property taxes shouldn’t be a problem.
But if you can’t……well…

How many years has it been under construction? Her children must be close to college age by now. I am amazed by how long this has taken. Thanks for update!
Selling used cabinetry? People do that?
Yes, if it is the good stuff. Mostly donate cabinets to habitat for humanity or a local similar group.
When i had a renovation, the previous owners had used Clive Christian. VERY expensive, but not my style. Beautifully crafted, so would have hated to throw them out…. Donated.
Where does she get her money? Does she have a job? We know she doesn’t receive a huge amount of child support (allegedly). Does do the same “work” Porsha does? Isn’t the house in her daughter’s name? So many questions.
I’m also curious how she’s still financing this project….
I just watched the slideshow. I took awhile to come up. I’m sorry but that is one ugly house.
Looks like an out dated mental institution ! Ugly scary !
You nailed it!
It looks like a haunted and abandoned house. Maybe it needs some landscaping to cheer it up and make it look more livable.
A big ugly house with no land. Ridiculous.
My thoughts exactly. That’s one ugly house. Sheree needs to get it together.
You mean my 5000 square foot house that doesn’t look like an asylum? LOL. The credit card company and the electric company gonna check Sheree boo!
Vandy has been escorted to the WLS, without free Windex, Angel. 🙂

That house is absurd. Who needs a house that big??
Thanks for the update. It’s nice
Simply stunning. I am quite jealous!
Jealous of a turret? Ahh, joking.
I was being sarcastic. I’m quite content with my wee two bedroom early 1900s villa by the beach 🙂
Two bedrooms you say? By the beach? Let me see if I can find a place to stick Banjo… 🙂

She’s installing store-bought cabinetry? Well!
I thought it was to be nothing but the best for Chateau Sheree…I’d expect custom-made cabinetry in solid cherry or walnut.
Tsk tsk.
Well it was a cabinetry place. So it could be custom. Who knows. She supposed dropped around $20K for two kitchens worth. I am not sure if that is a lot or not.

I am a kitchen and bath designer and $20k is beans, beans beans for two kitchens especially for detailed custom cabinetry that one would expect Sheree to commission for her chateau. Heather from OC said she spent $750k for the cabinetry in her house (I would love to do that job minus working with Heather). Granted that is a much bigger house than the chateau but just looking at the size of Sheree’s house I would expect a cabinet/countertop package to run at least $80-$100k if not more for kitchen, baths, bar, builtins etc.
I too am curious as to what she has for income. Something seems Shady by Sheree……do I have to say “allegedly” after that?
Yes you do. She LOVES losing in court. IRS is after her. She put the house into a Shell LLC after passing it around between her mother, her daughter and herself. It’s so obvious what she is doing. Allegedly.

cabinets are VERY expensive. Ours were $8000.00 and that is just for your basics and We only got half of the kitchen with cabinets. Sheree got a deal.
20k is very inexpensive for a high level home… Hubby is a contractor and did custom cabinetry when we first met. My kitchen was about 36k at wholesale cost, home was 5300 sq ft. That was many homes ago for me, and before real estate went south. But 20k for a “mansion”?
Heather Dubrow’s house is 20k sq ft + and she is probably doing a very expensive style… So yeah, 750k is absolutely crazy but I can believe it. That’s a lot of very expensive cabinets.
Yeah, I agree. We remodeled our kitchen in our (much smaller) home in Seattle and used a custom cabinetry builder (originally from Atlanta, by the way!). It was just under $20,000 (including the kitchen island). So $20,000 for a house that size and supposedly TWO kitchens — she went the cheap route.
No that is not a lot, even for one kitchen. I wanted to add 6′ of cabinets to my condo and was quoted $9,000.
20k kitchen cabinets for TWO kitchens? Where the hell did she shop?
That is really cheap. I would imagine Sheree likes things to look the way she wants, but could give a shit about quality.
Actually, I got a new email from the source and it was actually 50K. I misremembered the first info. The source was saying that she came in again but didn’t buy anything the second time.

She may be trying to get it good enough to sell? A complete kitchen(s) would be more desirable to a potential buyer.
Is this style of building normal for its size home in Alanta?
Are there other styles for this size in NEW construction?
I’m curious about New construction.
The house is large…but not that large. What makes it seem out of proportion is the structure’s proximity to the street and the tiny lot it sits on. Plus it butts right against the property line with the neighbor. I don’t know how Sheree got a variance from the planning committee to build that monstrosity.
She probably didn’t. She has been through a TON of contractors over the years.

There are some super huge homes in the ATL just like anyplace else. However, this is a nice, older neighborhood built in the 1970s She tore down a perfectly good house that had I dunno 2 or 3 thousand square feet and put this monstrosity on the plot. It’s WAY to big for the lot and right up on top of the neighbors behind them. So much so that the neighbors MOVED. Can you imagine a construction site with construction happening (when it happens) three feet from your home?
There is so much ridiculousness about this house that it is impossible to list it all.

Tamara, are you sure the reason the neighbors moved was because Sheree’s house was built too close to their house? Could it possibly be that Sheree herself was going to be their neighbor and they know she’s crazy as batshit Allegedly and were afraid she might eventually move into the house?
This was my first time seeing Chateau Sheree in person. My observations:
1) The house is far too large for the lot it sits on. The house practically sits right on top of the busy intersection. This is going to be a challenge to landscape because the lot is so small.
2) The synthetic stucco used on the home is already cracking. This is absurd because that stuff is supposed to have a 50 year warranty..if properly installed. The contractors are obviously cutting many corners.
3) The weeds were all grown up around the gates where workmen used to enter and exit. I don’t think anything has been done on this place in MONTHS.
4) The house looks like an abandoned mental hospital. The the colors are so dark and dank. The style is almost goth..it gives off a negative vibe…much like Sheree herself.
Mmm hmm. Like an Edward Hopper painting. Totes creep-a-delic.
The Gardner will get hit by a car
I’m sure one of the butlers will call 911 for him.

Does this place show up on google maps? I want to see what is around it.
I bet Sheree had cabinets already put in and hated them and that’s why she has cabinets to sell. If you hate what they put in but it’s what you ordered, then I think you’re stuck with them.
Maybe this turd has an African Prince to pay for new cabinets. TT, where are you hiding your African Prince?
I do not have one. But if anyone wants to donate cabinets to me, I’ll take them! I need a whole kitchen remodel. Really I just want to sell. A few years ago, Habitat for Humanity put in a new little street of houses very near my hood. Those houses are SO MUCH NICER than mine. And these days everyone that lives on that street drives really nice cars. My house is currently valued at way less than half of what I paid for it. Seriously, the taxes on this house are about the same as the ad valurum (sp?) taxes on my 2007 Honda Civic.

For your house an IKEA kitchen would be just the ticket. Seriously. Or maybe Sheree will sell you her used ones for less?
IKEA does have nice cabinets, not expensive, look nice. Some people I know installed their own from Lowes or Home Depot. They look nice, have lasted over 10 years.
Who designed that monstrosity? All of those turrets, one lone dormer window, and two of the tallest, most oddly placed chimneys I have ever seen. I actually can’t tell you the last time I saw a newly built home with an actual chimney.
The great room is really pretty. It has the fireplace and lots of glass windows floor to ceiling. But. It is also the entire two stories. there is no first floor ceiling there. There is a cat walk sort of hallway up there. Pretty, but cooling that room in the summer? JESUS. I don’t even want to think about it. It will be like a greenhouse!
Also so many round rooms. Very difficult to decorate round rooms. The master suite is very choppy. It’s all very odd. There is a bathtub in the very center of the master bathroom and IIRC you have to go through the bathroom to get to the bedroom. Clearly Sheree designed the whole thing on her speak an spell.

I’m stupid impressed with the progress of this housestrodity. We have a single person with literally no conceivable means of income and yet there is a massive structure built …with, like, windows. And walls. A lot of them. I just don’t get it.
And soon to be cabinets… >
Oh dear does the poor sales guy still have his job? I’m guessing not. Great little bit of tea – i’m always up for a chateau sheree update (it’s how I first met TT) but i think it would make more sense to pretend you were a random customer or something watching her rather than the cute guy at the cash register who took her credit card. ijs.
The guy who scoped out the house isn’t the person who sold her new cabinets.
Both Nene and Sheree bought these big houses, as we all know the bills on these houses are tremendous. Lights, water, and we have an idea on the taxes. Either they have a printing press or a gold mine under theses houses or I’ll bet we will see a couple of homes go on the market soon.
Whose McMansion will be into foreclosure first, Shereé’s or Nene’s?
LOL I just threw a Nenetard into WLS. It’s telling that Nenetards have very little grasp on the English language. I think she was trying to say that this story is about Sheree and I had to go dragging Nene into it. The similarities between the two situation seems to escape the ‘tards. However, the tard did seem to be trying to say that Nene actually has a job. Which would have been a good point if she could write it coherently. Mixed in with that point was the usual how much this site sucks and no one should read it and it ended, asking me if I am going to make Nene’s house payments for her if she can’t. The answer to that, dear window licker, is no. I paid for my house. Nene will have to pay for hers. Why would I buy Nene a house?

That just reminded me of how she stole all the fixtures and light bulbs in her divorce.
I put a link to that in the post.

I wonder if she’s going to declare bankruptcy then try to sell the cabinets she just bought to make cash.
Well, she would have to sell the cabinets and hide the cash before she declared bankruptcy, but you get the picture.
The house is in a shell LLC with her kids. Not a Family Trust, like she should have done, just a shell corp. The problem is the IRS is coming for her. They know exactly why the property is in a shell with no other assets. She literally thinks she is smarter than the IRS.

I sold my house in Atlanta last year, I was lucky because it was inside the perimeter off of the 400. The traffic in Atlanta is ungodly, and commuting from Duluth to Buckhead or downtown is a royal bitch. She would have been better advised to be inside 285 for that price tag.
She could have moved into Sheree/Phaedra’s neighborhoos for under a million and lived in a great hood and a prettier house.

Chateau Shanty. Water your plants, Sheree, if you can tear yourself away from fish tacos… you stink worse than some other real lady bits (allegedly).
Sheree’s house strongly resembles an institution, must be a reason, after all a round, padded room, would be well suited for snapper eatin’ contest.
S
Aww, I actually hope Sheree gets this “dream” house finished & is able to sell it for a profit. IMO, her years of desperate apt/condo life, with the kids sleeping on inflatable mattresses & eating “cheese” sandwiches is enough punishment, even for a self-entitled, spoiled snob who was expecting a million dollar settlement from her ex.
Word to the wise – you can get some solid wood, stylish & durable cabinets online these days For my medium sized kitchen 4 yrs ago, the total cost was $3400, + installation costs. Ikea in a less attractive design (for my style, anyway) was going to cost close to $8,000 & was not solid wood. My cabinets look great, function fine & get many compliments
That is not going to happen, she can’t afford the house NOW let alone when she has to pay utilities etc. The property has construction liens on it and she has IRS issues. She should have cut her losses a LONG time ago.
