Andy Squared, as I call the duo of Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper, blessed us in Atlanta with a “performance” at the Cobb Energy Center last night. Tickets were $75 for the nose bleeds. And seriously, you could get a nose bleed. Cobb Energy Center is beautiful and the seats are very vertical after a certain point. I went to an Opera once there an was given a free ticket from a gentleman whose date did not arrive. It was on the first row of the balcony and it was super high up! I am not particularly afraid of heights but I am tall and the wall to keep us from falling over was just around my knees. It wasn’t very reassuring to me, while excusing myself past 50 people to get to the center. The seats down front for hard core housewives fans were $350 dollars and you got to meet Andy and suck his dick, or take a picture or something. I know, I know, some of you guys would pay that for the former option, but frankly it’s little steep to watch two guys chatting arrogantly about themselves on a stage. That said the did sell over 2000 seats in the joint that holds almost 2800.
So needless to say, I didn’t go.
And neither the folks at LaLate I assume, but they have spoken to someone who was there. I was wondering what Andy would do with the Teresa question. LaLate is exclusively reporting that “Cohen said that Teresa’s lawyer told Andy that Teresa wants to return to RHONJ and that a written (deal memo) confirmation from Teresa Giudice via her lawyer is pending within days.”
I am not sure how exciting (or not) this bit of news is. I do know that Andy does blurt out information at these things that are not known to all parties and then denies them later. Last November, I had a well placed spy at his Q & A at The Palm in Atlanta where he was promoting his book, and he told the audience that Jersey Belle was not coming back. The entire room was disappointed. Jaime Primak who follows (followed) me on Twitter told me that she called Andy and he denied saying any such thing. I spoke to my source on the scene who assured me that is exactly what he said. The source was a huge Jersey Belle fan and was not pleased with the news.
I am not sure if the term “deal memo” was an editorial insert into the quote but deal memo concept doesn’t really apply to reality TV. In its loosest sense I suppose it could. What I suspect Andy was saying is that the do want her back and are trying to get a firm answer from her as to what her plans are post incarceration.
And if the person who is frequently making statements to tabloids on Teresa’s behalf is the person Andy is referring to as “her lawyer.” Well, you should probably read this post. He has made a lot of contradictory statements about Teresa’s plans. I don’t think he is really the person that negotiates her business deals. And if he is, he should not be. He’s a criminal defense attorney who is seeking publicity by chauferring her to and from the prison. Allegedly. In my opinion. Based on my observations.
I don’t think Andy’s comment means anything other than, “we’re trying to work something out.”
From my New Jersey sources I’ve heard that RHONJ is on indefinite hold until the Teresa problem can be resolved. I’ve heard that Teresa is irrationally angry with Bravo and in part blames them for her situation. I’ve heard she is trying to auction off her first interview after prison to the highest bidder and has not promised Bravo anything. I have heard she wants a cooking show. I have heard she wants back on RHONJ and that she doesn’t want back on RHONJ. I believe all of these things happened. Basically, Teresa is all over the place and is trying to make a money grab while expecting Bravo to just sit there and take it. And basically that is what Bravo is doing.
Meanwhile, I can enjoy my weekend off because Bravo has a crap line up for Sunday nights. I’ve never watched and episode of Married to Medicine, one brawling bunch of “Atlanta” housewives is enough for me. And rapidly becoming one too many. I watched Mother Funders last week, and was not interested enough to watch again tonight.
I may just read a good book and enjoy some time unplugged. It’s long overdue. We all need a bit of a break from time to time. And if you haven’t noticed, I’ve been a bit bitchier than normal. Plus I need to get my rest, because Big Brother starts on Wednesday. And then I am going to be distracted and obsessed for three months. Because once this season of Big Brother starts, none of this other stuff will be on my radar at all.
EDIT: Just noticed that Phaedra showed up at the show last night. Trying to get herself a contract?
Happy Father’s Day Tamara, because you have been both a mother blogger and father to us. BTW Married To Medicine is the best show on Bravo. Love me some Dr. Simone.
I love Drs Simone, jackie and heavenly..LOL They are a hoot. I can’t stand that Toya or Quad…I don’t have a feeling either way about Lisa but i will be tuning in to see what Quad has on her. BTW Do you know what happened to Mariah? Will she show up later in the season?
Yes Tamara, you should really have given Married to Medicine a try. I prefer it to Real Housewives of Atlanta. Dr. Jackie is a class act! Dr. Simone is so loud and ghetto but hilarious! Quad, is EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA. Toya is ratchet as hell. They really screwed Mariah, the production company. The show was her idea, and she even casted some of the women and they booted her off her own show. Crazy!
Mother Funders was horid! I would cut a bitch, maybe it’s a story line. Hell I don’t know what I am expecting with reality TV . I think it’s like how I view my search for an awesome man, it’s like finding a unicorn.
Sorry for venting.
TT Happy Birthday/month .I hope you and Banjo have an awesome day.
It is AWFUL, isn’t it? Unwatchable, they are so dislikable.
Happy birthday, Tamara. 🙂
350 to watch what amounts to vanity speaking tour. No thanks. Together they can be entertaining but I’m not paying 75 bucks much less 350 to watch it. I would still do both of them though. ;0)
Happy summer solstice and birthday and weekend off, Tamara! Thanks for the update on Andy Squared. I think I am up to date on Unreal. It’s really good!
I was at the show last night in Atlanta and Cohen never spoke of Teresa, aside for a few quips about things she has done on the show.
Happy birthday week and enjoy your day off. I would pay $75 for the opera, but not Andy Cohen. I have hit the point where I could care less about The and her RHONJ issues. Dump the whole franchise.
I was there last night and LOVED it! Perfect girls night out. BTW, I remember what Andy said about Teresa was that her lawyer told Andy that Teresa was granting permission for visitation at the prison by Andy – nothing about any contracts or shows.
Anderson Cooper was the keynote speaker at my son’s graduation from Tulane five years ago. He was hilarious, and it was totally unexpected.
Never got into BB..maybe I’ll try to watch this season.
Only because I have SASS (short attention span syndrome) and there are so many episodes that i would probably lose interest.
Yeah TT, Andy showed a picture on his timeline of him, Anderson and Phaedra. He thanked her for coming. She had on these white pants that made her thighs look huge. You could tell she was sucking up big time. Hopefully it didn’t work. Maybe she didn’t bring the kids to try to influence him with their cuteness to give her back her peach.
@HK I just saw the pic – omgoodness I didn’t even recognize her. She looks really different. I am not referring to weight ,she just looks different.
Personally, I wouldn’t watch RHONJ with Teresa back unless Caroline came back. That won’t happen. However, I might watch one season if they brought back Danielle with Teresa and the story line was to annoy the hell out of Tre.
So I am now starting to hear from people who went who say if Teresa was mentioned at all, the must not have been paying attention.

I was there. It’s funny how so many people heard different things. Yes, Andy talked about Teresa, but only during Q&A with the audience. He said 2 things: (1) that he had not been to visit Teresa in jail, but that he did have lunch with her 1 week before Christmas — right before she went to college, and it was intense; (2) that he recently received approval via her lawyer, so that she could receive an email from him. Not a visit from him — just an email. As for Brandi, he said that they were talking with her to see what her role would be with RHOBH next season. He said he’d heard the rumors that she was not coming back, but said they were still talking with her. Finally, with respect to new housewives, Andy said there were new housewives coming (didn’t specify which city), and that he couldn’t talk about it. Also, Anderson Cooper played plead the fifth with Andy. He asked Andy who the dumbest housewife was — Andy pled the fifth b/c he said it was too mean. Andy said there was a person way out front who was the dumbest, but he wouldn’t say, and wouldn’t specify their city.
Thanks! I knew the whole ” We will be hammering out a contract in the next few days” kind of talk was B.S. I think Porsha is clearly the dumbest.

I have not missed HWONJ at all. The past three seasons were horrible, fighting, the amends then the new cast. That’s my babes for each of the past 3 seasons.
I’m way over the constant fueding, name calling and screaming.
I went to the Chicago Anderson and Andy show and Andy was asked about Teresa. He said she isn’t happy with him and refuses to accept his request to add him to her prison email list. Apparently prison correspondence via email needs to be agreed to in advance. The show is very entertaining and they keep it short because the format is pretty limited, just the two of them interviewing each other and taking questions.
Thanks. I believe you are right about Teresa being pissed at bravo. At least she was. Whether a few months of prison has changed that remains to be seen.
So funny you say that. He just said in Atlanta tour that he just now got that approval for her to receive an e-mail from him. Looks like they are moving forward now.
I can’t wait to know if Teresa’s going to be back on the RHONJ.
Teresa would be huge rating for RHONJ if she returns. I’d watch just to see how she would adjust to civilian life again.
I know I’m in the minority, but i still have a little bit of sympathy for the situation. Don’t get me wrong. They were guilty/are guilty. They deserve the punishment and probably more! But,
She has kids and they are still young. Being gone and in jail is going to take a toll on her.
Honestly, I just feel for her girls. I am hoping that behind closed doors and away from cameras that they have truly admitted to their wrong doings at least to their girls. Doubtful, I know.
And of course because I like a good train wreck,I will watch whatever show she films for
That’s the thing. In order to be really compelling the cameras are going to have to be there either at, or damn near at her release and follow through with meeting, and interacting with the other ladies. They pull that off well, and the show will probably be the highest rated in the franchise for either the entire year, or at least the beginning of the year.
Great recap and thoughts on all mentioned. Perhaps it’s because it is all in line with my persona-except being tall! I was up until 4am reading a novel. Go for the hiatus TT,
Brian Williams should do her first interview. That way they could both say why is this happening to me?
Bahahahaha!
Tree could name her cooking show ‘Trays’ ;). I, too, hate the front row balcony seats in the center. Anything off the bottom is treacherous for us talls. Especially in heels. The NJ franchise just needs to go. It’s been ruined by these poseurs. There are too many other cities and states to choose from. Texas would be fun or Chicago.
Chicago is a great city for a HW show. Would be awesome to have a mid western city. Or, what about Andy’s home town. He’s from Kansas or something, right?
That would be St. Louis- my hometown!
“… you got to meet Andy and suck his dick, …” so NeNe was there and brought it with her?
That’s hilarious. Sadly, not far from the truth.
Which opera did you attend?
Turandot , years ago when I used to do things.

Puccini, my favorite. <3 <3
They need to just let it die already.
I’d love to see their show but $75 would be a stretch for me. I’m not really surprised that Tre thinks she is blameless in this. They got Bravo to cough up for all their fines under the guise of interview fees, they still get to live in their nice house with all the stuff, aside from Tre getting to go on an extended spa trip for a year they really haven’t had to pay anything for their crimes.
I want Danielle Staub back. She’s the “mature” version of Kristen Doute. I love me some crazy.
I don’t care for Danielle. But Bravo is talking about her A LOT lately. A LOT. On their own little gossip site, tweets from Bravo folks. It’s like they are threatening Tre with Danielle. Allegedly. If Tre comes out and doesn’t come back or tries to fuck them shopping herself to other networks? They will have Danielle come back and it will be an entire season of mocking Tre.
I WOULD WATCH THAT!

TT, now THAT is a great idea – an exciting tease, for the NJ franchise! I’d tune into NJ again to watch Danielle stir up the controversy and mock Tre. I removed NJ from my dvr schedule over a year ago because I was so sick of the fighting, nastiness, deceit, and BS from all of the ladies and their assorted husbands. It just became too much of a nauseating chore to watch them.
I would go to see them for $10. No more. They aren’t public intellectuals, they aren’t going to say something that makes me rethink identity, and inspire me. So how the heck did they get 2,200 tickets sold? Were half of those given out to advertisers who then gave it to random acquaintances?
WOW
The AC2 tour in Atlanta was not sold out. For mezzanine tickets it was over $141. We paid $110 for mid-section seats, which was insane, I know. Tons of empty seats in every section except mezzanine right up front. But, it looks like most of those folks were industry people from CNN. Kinda sad if you can’t fill the venue with CNN people, at the very least.
