Sorry I have been remiss on these. I’m slacking. It’s June, tomatoes are happening, weather is good and I am slacking because, BIRTHDAY MONTH!
Speaking of being remiss about birthdays, I missed acknowledging one. While she is NOT a window licker here but a favored poster, I totally meant to do it on the right day but I got distracted buy a tomato, or a nap or something.
Happy belated birthday to…. can you guess?
So what are y’all up to this weekend? Tootsie should have her first ripe tomato any day. I picked my first one today but it needs another day or so in the window to let the sun hit the top. I also have another box of Flax clothes in the house. But I’ve been kind of under the weather and sleeping off and on and want to feel happy and alert when I open the box. So… waiting.
I took a way too late nap and am still up now. I will hit the hay for 8-10 hours of beauty rest soon. Email me anything MAJOR that is breaking news and I’ll get on it ASAIWU which is ASAP for lazy folks. (As Soon As I Wake Up!)
BTW…. I don’t have many Facebook followers and very few share my links on their Facebook and I don’t get many hits from my FB folks like AT ALL.
Twitter Tweeps are blowing y’all out of the water. If you see a post you like (not Daily Tea, but real posts) It would help me tremendously if you would share on FB by hitting the button below the posts and sharing with your friends. Thanks.
Will do.
me too
Who are all the June babies????? TT what date? I am on the 24th!
June baby over here! I’m a Cancemini (Gemini/Cancer cusp). Happy birthday to…Tootsie?!!! Is it Tootsie?!
Jumping in really quick to say lots of rain here. Will probably lose Internet for a bit.

Mine is the 11th. If you take my birthday month, then add the day to the last 2 digits of the year, you get 666. Yes, I am evil.
I’ll never know how I made it to 60. I still can’t believe it. In many ways, I’m still 14. Oh well.
Happy birthday, everyone.
Between the storms, the PMS/cramps and lack of sleep. I’m going back to bed.

TT. When I was a kid, our family doctor prescribed red wine for cramps. Best natural muscle relaxer there is. Sleep well.
I’m awake again now. I’m on such a fucked up sleep schedule. I really need to get it together. UF accuses me of keeping crackhead hours. 🙂 It’s true.
Sometimes in the wee hours my west coast source get lubricated and chatty though. Interesting tea. 🙂

June 20th reporting in!
After spending three thousand dollars on a raised garden I’ve harvested two handfuls of cherry tomatoes and an eggplant. In two years. The jalapenos grow like gangbusters but after i gave one to my friend and he touched his eye I’m too aftaid to handle them. I’ve had life long dreams of jalapeño poppers but oh well.
I’ve been napping lots in between taking Killer for a walk. He walks like an angry bulldog to the point people stop to ask me what kind of dog he is. Duh a six pound chihuahua that thinks he’s a Pitt bull.
I have tiny tomatoes happening! Yay! A few more weeks and I’ll be feasting!
A tomato in the window? I’m so jealous with my tiny pearl sized tomatoes!
I must admit, I never thought of looking for you on Facebook..I’m going there now.
First of all, Happy Birthday month!! 2nd l’m livid about Rachel Dolezal and her black/white issue on twitter and l’m not having it!!! Just had to vent because my mom LOOKS white and was a teacher but is black through & through. To see this farce really upsets me and l wanna tell her to get a grip! because.life is too short
Okay, how about her Caucasian parents saying she is white? I agree you cannot tell someone’s race by looking at them these days, but parents kind of clinch it, don’t you think?
Hi TT, I was wondering if you’ve caught the new show UnReal? It’s on Lifetime and it is excellent. It’s surprisingly dark and I don’t think it’s getting a ton of viewers but I’ve found it to be a good counterpart to your blog. I feel like I’ve learned so much about the “reality” of RH shows by reading your tea and scoops over the past year I’ve been a reader. Similarly, I think this show is an fascinating depiction at how The Bachelor (and many other reality shows) construct a narrative for the sake of tv. I’d love to see a recap because I think your thoughts on it would be very interesting. But even if you don’t ever recap it, I highly recommend you check it out if you haven’t already! Happy Birthday!!!
TT recommended this show to us a while back, so I watched it once and I too, thought it was very interesting. I just keep forgetting to tune in again, and I also can’t remember what night it comes on and what station airs it. Can you refresh my memory?
It’s on Lifetime and it reruns A LOT. Check it out. It’s also on demand I think.

Thanks all for reminding me about Unreal. Will try to remember to DVR it when I get home.
If you are like me, someone who doesn’t watch a lot of movies, until I do, always looking for a good one on demand on my premium channels.
I’m watching In The Bedroom (not what you think. It has to do with lobster sort of) on Starz on demand. I love Sissy Spacek. A New England couple’s college-aged son dates an older woman who has two small children and an unwelcome ex-husband.
Tom Wilkinson, Sissy Spacek, Nick Stahl

Honestly I don’t know how you manage. I don’t watch half of the shows you recap and sometimes I feel as if I don’t have enough time to keep up with those.
I’m loving unreal! Is it okay for me to talk about something that happened on the latest episode here?
Haha….I wonder who that could be? Happy birthday to all who are celebrating this month. Me? Heck, I only celebrate days that end with a “y”.
I am 60 now….going on 14. How did THAT happen?
I’m going to treat myself to WiFi for my birthday…so, next month, I should be able to share more on twitter for you. I want to help you in any way I can!
Happy Birthday Cat. Us Geminiis rock.

I didn’t do much yesterday, anyway. Stayed home, and stuffed myself with homemade tacos, wine and coconut cake. And watched the “Blue Bloods” marathon on ion. Love that Donnie Wahlberg.
Today, I went out and actually PAID to see a movie. I haven’t done that in over 5 years. Damn….the matinee was $14! But, it was worth it. I saw “Jurassic World”. And laughed my ass off at all the inside jokes. The characters that were theme park employees were caricatures of many people that I worked with over the years. And the “behind the scenes” scenes were stupid, but strangely accurate. I laughed at a lot of things others missed. The people around me must have thought I was nuts. This movie is very campy, but I like that. I love a movie that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
And being an ex-theme park employee, I really enjoyed watching 20,000+ theme park guests being chased and eaten by the attractions.
I’m kinda sick that way.
I don’t know what day your birthday is (or was), but since, like me, you celebrate the entire month, I will say again “Happy birthday!”
And to those who need a clue…..Meow.
Really looking forward to seeing Jurassic Park. Chris Pratt! Dinasaurs! Win win!!
Happy Belated Birthday Cat. I hope you had a wonderful birthday and have many, many more. You are such a special person. TT you gave great hints with the black cat picture and post above. I figured it out and DMed Cat telling her happy birthday and now am saying it here. And since I don’t know your real birth date Tamara, I’ll say Happy Birthday/Month to you too. At my age I celebrate the whole month of March. When I hit 60, I’m going to start celebrating February and April as well. Lmbo.
Happy Birthday Cat!
Happy birthday, Cat! Meow indeed…

It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’m totally jealous of those with tomatoes! I don’t like red ones so much, but am seriously wanting a good fried green one. With butter.
I woke up about a week ago with the side of my face so swollen I thought I’d had a stroke. Tried smiling and faces in the mirror, swollen side not moving. Called my sis and friend who didn’t detect speech issues, and I’d been having teeth issues. Long story semi short? My infection went into my sinuses and now I’m 2 teeth shorter. Lighter? Whatever, the bitch pulled 2. Crisis averted, except 2 days later I’m swelling up again. sigh.
Happy Birthday….I’m guessing TeeCee? Maybe UF? TT? I’d like to direct it appropriately.
Meow.
Happy Birthday Cat! Sorry I didn’t catch it sooner.
Thanks. And I’m glad you figured out what your health issue was. I can imagine how scary that was for you. Hope you are feeling better!
Happy Bday, Mystery Person! Twitter kind of makes me dizzy, so I rarely use it. Will work on sharing on fb.
Little Kyle is now Huge Kyle–no tomatoes yet, though.
Lisa Vanderpump has quite a few tomatoes. BLT here I come.
Been doing a lot of soul searching about work. Talked a long time with my closest friend there last night. We are both in the same boat–need to work for about two more years–and management is making us crazy. I have to keep my eye on the ball. I am finally debt free and am able to sock a lot of money way for my retirement, plus I have to wait for medicare to kick in. So I have to work. I think if I keep my eye on my goal, which is a comfortable retirement, then I can do this. Feb 28, 2018–PARTY!! Also, I actually like the work I am doing. I am a science geek and I love walking out of the lab knowing I have saved lives with the information I have garnered from all those little tubes of serum. So I am going to ignore the idiot supervisors and managers, do my job, and enjoy my co-workers.
🙂
Happy birthday, Cat! Eat something yummy

I’ve been following TT for many years, since her (I think) first post/scoop of Kim Z’s weeding photos.
Over the past few years I’ve grown more and more reclusive and find it harder and harder to even post. I’ve lost my snark. I even begin to have a panic attack when I do comment when it comes time to hit post.
In celebration of TTS birthday I’m sticking my toe out to check the waters and more importantly .to wish Tamara the best of birthdays.
Any other June babes out there have my good wishes as well.
It’s time for another trip around the sun, TT . I hope it brings you (and Banjo) all you hope and wish for.
I’ve always admired your forthrightness and balls to the wall attitude.
This blog brings me comfort and laughter on some of the darkest days. I envy those of you that can open up and share your feelings both good and bad.
I hope that I’ll soon be confident enough to share without being self conscious or afraid of ridicule.
I’m not looking for sympathy but letting you all know, TT especially , that the page gives me the strength to fight the inhibitions I’ve developed
I want to be a part of this community and learn to share. In the meantime, again thank you all for what you bring here to TTs home.

Just be yourself, deco. I went through a phase here where I struggled to write clever and snarky comments. Then, I realized I am not the blogger here. Now, I just post what I feel about the topic. That took the pressure off.

It’s okay. You’re an equal opportunity bitch. I overheard one of my students explaining me to a new kid: “One thing about Ms. Williams, she’s fair; she’s mean to everybody.” You’re at your most entertaining when you’re being outrageously ill-tempered, impatient, and creatively profane. Makes me laugh out loud.
Big hugs to you, deco! Glad you commented.
I laughed at your “balls to the wall” comment. My sister loved that phrase!
I’m working at fighting off the urge to be a recluse, so I set up happy hour with another couple. I always end up feeling regret at making plans while getting ready, and I’m almost always happy once I go out. I find this very perplexing! My husband usually doesn’t come in until 10 pm, so it’s a lot of time alone with just me, the cats, and the crazy stray dog. His hours makes it a little too easy to give in to that urge.
Saturday a tile setter is coming to give me a bid. I started a kitchen remodel in March, which was desperately needed but I kinda regret spending the money. It can take me two weeks to actually make a phone call to make any arrangements, so it’s definitely slowing down progress. I have no idea how this has happened.
Part of it is weight gain, or at least I assume. The rest is losing my parents and sister (my only sibling) in one year. Between the loss and the endless stream of paperwork for estate crap, most days I just want to hide under the bed and tell everyone to go the F away.
“Tomorrow” seems to have become my favorite word 🙂
And….I have even more tomatoes popping up. Now if they would hurry up and ripen!
I empathize with you Ca23. It’s got to be hormonal. I don’t even want to do good things. I have a box of new clothes I am waiting to open. I’m not sure what I am waiting on. It takes me less than 10 minutes to pay my bills online. I have the money to pay them. Yet I spend four or five days anxious and unwilling to do it. After a trip to the grocery store when I have everything I need for a few days I get this great feeling of relief that I don’t have to get dressed for a couple of days. I want to stay up all night and sleep all day.
It’s really crazy and stupid. I know this but I just keep procrastinating and fucking around.

The bill paying is the WORST and the most inexplicable. I have no idea what’s behind the procrastination on that one! It feels so good once I force myself to do it, and yet next month I will undoubtedly procrastinate again.
I did enjoy happy hour with two lemon drop martinis 🙂
I have no idea how to get out of this funk or whatever it is.
Bill paying and grocery shopping I think are HIGH ANXIETY triggers because we are all in this menopausal place of I am not doing anything I don’t have to do. And we HAVE to do those things when they HAVE to be done.
That’s my theory anyway.

Dotto everything said by TT and CAwoman. When I do make plans finally, I cancel them with a made up excuse. I’d rather stay home and watch TV among the dust bunnies. I am late paying bills on line because it takes more effort to do it sooner, or something. I rarely open my mail. I do not advise this to any sensible person. And to think I used to work 60 to 70 hours a week!
I wonder if the producers of reality shows have any animosity about the show Unreal. TT has schooled us about the BS, but this show is so enlightening. It explains a lot about why people act as they do on these shows. People have to be so thirsty for fame to go along with these shows.
Chris Soules, who was on Bachelorette, then was the star of the Bachelor, then on Dancing With The Stars, is now taping his 4th reality show to be seen in the fall. He was supposedly looking for a wife to live on a farm outside of Podunk, Iowa. The girl he choose on the Batchelor did not last long. It sure seems disingenuous that the prosperous looking farm is his priority as the life he wants. I think he wants to be a celebrity most of all. Even the down home types on these shows are susceptible to a little limelight. No wonder the climbers will do anything foolish for the camera and cash. I would expect some of these “contestants” would feel used and manipulated when the show is over. They must have signed their life away to not expose them.
I’m with you, every night I think I will deal with it tomorrow. I think hormones play a huge part
Hugs. cawoman23. So sorry about your sister and parents. That’s a huge void. It’s great you are going out. Yay tomatoes! Mine are still green too.
Thanks, lisamia. If I remember correctly you’re on the opposite side of downtown than I am, so I’m betting your tomatoes will ripe first. Lucky!! 🙂
I’ll send photos to TT as soon as the first one turns red. 🙂
@cawoman
I feel your pain and am sorry for your loss. The same happened to me 4 years ago. I found my sister in a diabetic coma and she never came out of it. Ultimately I knew this would kill my mom. It did. Six months later she died. I got stuck with my sister’s estate stuff and my brother was executor to my mom’s. Brother….yeah – who I have seen a total of two times in the past 4 years. There’s days I have to literally drag myself out the door but I make sure I get out everyday. Working at a job where you have a personality conflict with your boss isn’t easy either LOL. We’ve agreed we don’t have to like each other and are professional to each other. He’s not in much so that helps. Sorry for the rambling on.
I’m sorry for your losses, Skeeter. It’s odd how often that seems to happen – coming in waves. Actually it’s what we expected when my father died, but it didn’t happen. Thank god I don’t have to deal with another relative in any estate issues. It’s bad enough doing it solo!
I found my sister, too. It’s quite a shock isn’t it? My mother had already been on in-home hospice and bed-ridden for one year with me as her primary care taker. Thank god my daughter was away at college. My dad wasn’t getting around too well and had pretty bad dementia. He wanted to sit in the back in the sun and I finally gave in. My mom called me in to the house and in the two minutes I was gone he fell and broke his hip. He never recovered and died three months later. I will always feel guilt on that one.
Just 35 days after his death. I came home from my mother’s house to find a phone message from my sister’s boss. She hadn’t called in or shown up for work. My husband and I rushed to her home 30 miles away and found her dead. I kinda knew what I would find but it was still a huge shock. Telling my mother was hands down the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. Somehow she lived another year after that.
I think some of my issues are in part because of the ongoing deluge of papers that arrive every day. I never know what new company wants to be paid. My parents weren’t so bad but my sister paid all of her bills online from work. She had nothing at her home to guide me! (She had never married.). It’s been insane because I have no way of knowing what else is out there circling around, ready to pop up.
I hope you and your brother will grow closer through your experience. My sister was 6 years older than I, and had never been all that close. our parents’ declining health really pulled us together, and for that I am grateful. You experience is more challenging though. Estate matters can really cause a lot of grief!
Okay that was way too long and way too personal! Sometimes it feels good to vent a little. Sorry!
I hope everyone has a good weekend!
Hugs and more hugs, cawoman23. I hope the paperwork crap gets done soon and at least that won’t be a burden for you. I am so sorry.
Happy Happy Birthday Cat!
Thanks!
I now have TWO Jaune Flammé’s turning yellow. And the color is coming on fast! They are not as big a as they should be, only ping pong ball size rather than small peach size…
My quandary – do I share them with company on Sunday in a tomato avocado salad, or do I wait ’til I’m alone Momday and make myself a BLT?
NEVER share the first ones. They’ll be time for sharing later. BLT alone. White bread. Dukes Mayo (if you can get it).
My red one is sort of hard. I don’t think the bush goliath will be my favorite plant. Tomatoes should be soft and juicy.

Stephanie, I was able to find Duke’s mayo on Amazon. We don’t get it in CA either.
I have been innocently home all night, anticipating relatives visiting and making rum/kahlua chocolate pudding shots. El Partner got buzzed off the batter and went to bed early.
Innocent, I tells ya.
My tomatoes won’t be ready until end of July/early August. I bought a tomato a few days ago and made a sandwich. It crunched when I bit into it. WTF!!!
Okay, I normally don’t bring up my own subject but here goes. I had the the perfect sandwich for dinner: Italian bread, prosciutto, mozzarella and just a bit of pesto aiello. Was watching Marvel: Agents of Shield, heard the description and had the urge to try it. Totally worth trying.

cawoman23 I’be tried to comment on your post 3 times and erased it. Don’t know why but I’m going to try again. I understand “tomorrow” well because of my CRPS, my son’s accident and my insomnia. My life is just not on the same timeline of everyone else. I’m normally a social person but a lot of the time going out just seems like too big of a deal. I have started making myself accept invitations because fortunately for me friends are still calling me. I’m not forcing myself to do everything but I know staying in my bedroom with blackout curtains all day is not a good thing for me. So now I pick the activities and people I know I will most enjoy and go for it. Hopefully I will begin to not feel like it’s too much effort to be worth it.
Don’t know how my comment to cawoman23 ended up nested here. Oh well. Just goes to show why I kept my behind home today lol. Off kilter with life.

New skow on E! Right now (will repeat several times according to the DVR) called New Money that is just basically mocking several people and their overly extravagant ways. Making the HWs look sedate and restrained.
This is my gift to the Yankees: buy yourself a nice big jar of Dukes mayonnaise. Grate 8-16 oz. sharp cheese into a small bowl. Mix in the mayonnaise, 1/4 -1/2 cup. Add a jar of diced pimentos (not that teeny jar, the bigger size) and freshly ground black black pepper. Don’t drain the pimentos, just dump them in. You now have pimento cheese. Eat it on white bread. Add a slice or two of fresh tomato. Grill it. Put it on a burger. Enjoy. I usually don’t give Yankees anything.
I love cheese but I’ve never liked pimento cheese sandwiches, UGH.

I also take healthy, fresh steamed broccoli or cauliflower and melt pimento cheese over them. Amazing. There’s no hope for me. I’m glad you love your beautiful new clothes!
OMG! I just opened my mojowoman.com box. It is spectacular. I don’t even remember ordering all of this stuff. Well I guess what I thought was “curry” was Orange/Coral. Also everything comes in sizes 1 G(inormous) 2 G(inormous) and 3 G(innormous). My tendancy is to buy the biggest size in everything.
The 2G pants I bought the first round will stay up but I could be 9 months pregnant with quadruplets and still they would fit. I bout 1G this time. They are better, but all are um, beer drinking pants in linen for a lovely vacation.
I’m 5’9″ and everything is very long. Oh and that curry/orange shirt as a very weird Oh I am looking at my receipt the orange thing is a “geranium painter’s tee” thus the quirky hem line.
Everything I bought is from Flax 2011. I am HUGE and I recommend the 1 Ginormous size. with 2g if you have giant boobs like me. All the pants have a little elastic in the back for room for error. The pants have deep pockets. The fabrics are AMAZING.
I am so thrilled. It’s exactly what I wanted. Affordable luxury and comfort. I am not paid for this, by the way. Though I should try to get free clothes out of it! I’m going to go bankrupt and I am not a clothes person.
I need to start wearing this stuff even to sit around alone in. It’s so lovely.
I need a steamer…
Went out to lunch with the family today and wore my new flax dress. 2G and I was swimming in it, but the color is a pretty green dress and the flax material feels so good. Love the neck line too. Might try putting a belt on next time.
I think the brownish shirt was the one that turned out to be curry. whatever. It’s all glorious.
Oh and one of my 2G shirts was damaged and the last one so they offered me a different style or a 3G. Since I already had three pieces in that collection I moved up a size. That was a mistake. A 3G would fit Shaquille Oneill and still have room for me. But I’ll still wear it.
I love huge shirts.
Yay you opened the box. It’s almost like Christmas! I’m glad you like your purchases – at least most of them!
Wear those clothes, Honey! Short story. Several years ago I bought the most beautiful navy blue linen skirt I’d ever seen. It was a little longer than knee length with pleats at one side of the bottom…very 1930’s So pretty that for about 3 months I left the closet door open just so I could see it.
I loved it so much that I saved it for good. Well, “good” didn’t come soon enough. I “outgrew” the skirt before I ever got to wear it! Now I wish I’d worn it every day and even used it as p.j. bottoms.
So, the moral is: Wear those pretty things for you and Banjo. If other folks see them fine, if not you will at least have enjoyed them.
Happy bd. Hope you got cake. With icing. Lots!
*sigh* I should have asked when to harvest the tomatoes. I had 3 really pretty red ones on the Bush Goliath, and the birds got to them. 🙁
My condolences Tootsie…that sucks. I have exactly ONE medium orangish-red tomato, after all this work of a mere three plants, and if anything happens to it, I’ll be outside with a bb gun taking random shots at birds. Okay, not really, but deep down, I would want to.
If it’s orangish-red, I think you’re supposed to pick it and bring it inside and put it in the windowsill. The birds got mine all in a span of less than 12 hours. They were determined little peckers – stood on the cage and pecked away at the side of the tomatoes facing out.
Unfortunately, Mocking Birds (the culprits here) are the state bird of TX, and therefore protected.
Put out some pinwheels.
I just ate my first BLT of the season. It was divine. The second on is already made for dinner.

TT it should really be called a BLTD (bacon, lettuce, tomato, Dukes mayo). That’s the only way to eat one.
ᕼᗩᕈᕈᎩ ᕼᗩᕈᖰ૪ ᙖᓮᖇ☂ᖺᕍᗩᎩ to all the June babies.
Enjoy your special day (or as some prefer the entire month)!
I’m doing the month in case I don’t make it until my day. LOL.
I’m on the 23rd. With my spirit animal, Marc.
I’m spending the month trying to add some balance after Luis (MDLNY). I am going to be posting only briefly for my Bday. And I have shit tons to do before it comes. In Ga you have to get emissions and new tags before your bday. And I try to get my car a good washing and an oil change at that time ( It’s a 2007 with BARELY 20K on it) I don’t like to drive.
I want to spend less time with ya’ll and more time with Banjo next week. (family time) I will still be around but I need a break from all the obligations of blogging and such. I’ll still recap the important stuff but we have a hike planned and I’m hoping for some bonding with my siblings. I have a great brother and sister. I’d like to see them.
All the constant attention I give y’all will be limited for a day or a week or maybe the rest of the month. I also need to go to the dentist. I just have rejuvenation things I do in June. It would be great if y’all could find some old posts to read and not expect much. I’ll check in every day.. but I’ll do what I fucking feel like doing.
🙂

And a well deserved “I’ll do what I fucking feel like doing” at that!
Rejuvenate away & enjoy your bonding time with Banjo & your family.
Take all the time you need & enjoy yourself ! I love reading your archival posts & highly recommended them to all . Xoxo marc
