Daily Tea For Tuesday: Varietal Sassy!

June 9, 2015 by tamaratattles 60 Comments

I saw this when I was watching The View this morning and thought about sharing it here and then, there it was right in my mailbox when I logged on! Thanks 5 cats!

If you need a laugh today this is for you. The little girl is awesome, and even funnier is the other two have no idea what they are supposed to be doing. And they seem SHOCKED at the drama coming from the middle one.ย  At the end the prima donna’s patience runs out with the clueless.

So cute.

What’s on your agenda for today? Because it is my birthday month, I am trying to motivate to go to Popeyes and get some fried chicken and mashed potatoes. I really don’t want to drive that far, but I haven’t had fried chicken in AGES and I have a craving.

I think half of my family has birthdays in this month. I don’t want to know what is happening in November. Turn the heat up and stop doing that thing that causes babies to happen.

November? Hmm? Thanksgiving! Which is the aphrodisiac, though? The turkey, stuffing, cranberries, or all that damn pumpkin? June birthdays are the best. If you’re a school aged kid, you get to celebrate your birthday AND the end of school! It’s heaven.

      Happy Birthday Tamara!

I started my morning with this video. That girl is a STAR! Loved hearing her proud dad cheering for her. I had to show it to my husband because her attitude and showmanship is exactly like our grand daughter when she was that age (she’s 17 now). Her exasperation with the other dancers is hysterical and I loved watching her just take charge. She will be a leader someday.
It’s my birthday month, too. Happy Birthmonth To You!

    Happy almost birthday, Tamara!!!! <3 <3 <3
Video: Well, I want that little girl for my grand daughter (sideway glance to my daughter).
I had the day off, yesterday. Spent the day on the couch, binging on pizza and House of Cards. Man are the Underwoods fucked up people. Re-watched GoT with the bf. No spoilers….(screams). Watched the premier for RHoOC and thought hard on stealing one of my son's anti-depressant meds.
Starting four days of work at my wonderful laboratory. Continuing my personal battle against anxiety: I am going to start an email log to myself, today, titled–Danger vs Frustration. Will write myself an email when I start feeling anxious and examine the situation. Is it actually dangerous to myself or to patients, or is it just frustrating. I am hoping it will help cool my brain down and bring me to a place where I can problem solve or accept instead of hyperventilating.
Kids, cats, boy friend, parents are all okay at this moment!!! (Knocking on everything).
So relieved I figured out the glitch for my TT emails. I really missed waking up to everyone's comments. Love you all.

โ€‹I was stepping around spoilers on the net as well. Fortunately for me, I have no idea what anyone’s names are except for Tyrion (the little guy??) Kaleesi (with the dragons) and…Arya or whatever the girl with the sword named needle is called.

I really like GoT but I have no idea what is going on half the time. Mostly because I multitask while watching. The death in the last episode was NOT good. Even though I had no idea who the person was or if the person had been on other episodes.

OMG I loved my Flax outfit so much I went and bought a ton more stuff. Everything I could find in my size in the Flax 2011 collection. It will be so great for summer traveling. It’s linen but not the super wrinkly kind. Everything fit great except the pants. They are really blousey in the front. I think I went down a size for the second pair. โ€‹

The shirt was perfected I ordered another pistachio one but the last one they had in stock was damaged. I could have gone with another style but opted just to go up a size. I haven’t washed anything yet (or worn it) but it may shrink.

I also bought the shirt in a solid color called curry. Should be here in a couple days. โ€‹

After I got the RHOA tea up I did a bit of gardening and then took Banjo for a walk to stretch my legs. It was like a SAUNA out there and not even 90 degrees. But that is not important.

THE IMPORTANT PART IS THAT WE ALMOST DIED!

Banjo and I have a normal path we walk around the block in one direction due to the proper placement of good drop zones (for poop). The path ends walking behind my house on a path through the school grounds and out the parking lot, back to the ghetto shack.

Lately a stray cat that goes by the street name of Bighead or Football head depending on who is telling, lays in the shady path near the end of our journey.

Today Bighead was ON the path. My back fence and my neighbors back fence are on the left. And another fence that encircles a reservoir on the right. There is not enough room for us to go around Bighead. And Bighead will not be moved.

But I am hot and weary and don’t want to do the whole lap again in reverse. So we forge ahead hoping Bighead will run. Bighead never runs. Banjo eventually starts barking at Bighead and Bighead finds this highly unacceptable. So Bighead arches her back and starts hissing at us while coming straight for us!

So I scream like a little girl and Banjo and I retreat and go back the other way. Because, RABIES. I mean WTF is wrong with this cat?

Bighead just laid right back down on her walkway.

Then we run into a couple going the same way and begged for protection. Yes the giant fat lady and her 80 pound dog were conquered by a stray cat. But ya’ll he was trying to ATTACK US!

By the time we went back Bighead had moved on. And we made safe passage home, narrowly escaping death.

      /fin

Wait, what is Flax? I need some new clothes for my newly (not really) enlarged body. And cats can be dicks. I had this surly beast named Axl that terrorized my mother when she watched him for me when I went on a trip. He’d sprawl out on the middle step leading to the second floor and wouldn’t let her pass. The vet had a sad face sticker attached to his file because he was so mean to them. And poor Banjo. My Miller, the big scary-looking rescue Pit Bull, was harassed by a frog last night and peed on the deck instead of risking passing the frog in the grass.

          โ€‹Ha!

Flax is a linen line by Mojowoman.com

There are some HUGE changes in their line, and I am more conservative colors, neutrals so don’t freak out when you got there and see lots of bright colors. I have bought all my stuff from the 2011 summer (?) collection. There are limited things left and there is no returns on clearance to measure yourself and use the guide.

I bought a three piece (pant, shirt, jacket) on a prayer and then went back and bought more stuff with a smaller pant.

I am five nine and the pants are a bit long, I think because I bought to large of a size. So when in doubt go smaller in the pant (there is a bit of elastic in the back).

Let me know what you get/like. I spent way too much already.

Tamara if you insist on taking yourself and Banjo walking in dangerous territory where you have the chance of encountering wild animals you need to be prepared lol. Bighead can smell your fear. The best defense is a good offense. You need to invest in a good spray bottle. Fill it with water. One good squirt and Bighead will be hauling ass so fast you won’t be sure he was there to begin with. I believe they think they are related to the wicked witch from Oz and will melt on contact with water.

โ€‹My anxiety is up today because I’ve been thinking about taking Banjo on a hike in North Georgia. I woke up convinced that we would encounter the bears that are roaming around neighborhoods here, or coyotes which are also everywhere or deer. WHAT WOULD WE DO?

When did I become such a fraidy cat? I literally wake up with worst case scenarios in my head and sit here paralyzed.

Anxiety is such a weird crazy thing. And annoying as fuck.

Ugh anxiety! It paralyzes me too, Tamara–especially the anticipatory kind. My therapist told me once you don’t have to worry about the gun until the bullet is leaving it. Easier said than done.
Stayed home from work today–wasn’t anxiety. Got too angry at my team leader, yesterday, and realized I needed a mental health holiday. I was proud of myself because I did tell her no when she asked me to do something that I did not have time to do. I am done saying yes to those people. All yes does is put a target on my back.
Two more people are quitting next week. We are down to 9 techs on evening shift–we used to have 14. They’ve been quitting on all the shifts. The management is horrible and it’s taking its toll. I can’t quit until and am 65 and can get medicare. Two and a half years. I don’t know how I am going to do it and not have a heart attack. Anyway, today I am cooling my head down.
I just finished the third season of House of Cards. Another show I have to wait for to see what happens next!
