After all of these years writing about attention whores, I get it. I get that there are a lot of people who want to be noticed, to be on TV, to be in the movies, or simply to just stare at their latest round of plastic surgery all day and post selfies on Instagram. I do not share any of these desires, but I can accept that there are a lot of narcissists out there. The goal for these people appears to be acceptance. They want the world to think they are attractive and likeable. They are willing to ignore any contradictory input about their appearance or behavior by labeling it as “jealousy” or “hating.” These people work hard to garner positive attention.
What I do not get is disgracing your entire family for money. I mean I get Farah Abraham, she doesn’t give two shits about her family so her porn career she feels is something that makes her attractive to men. Despite not being capable of interacting with men in any sort of normal way. The porn thing works for her. She likes the money and attention. I also get some of the women acting like fools for six figure incomes on Bravo shows. They also tend to block out the backlash and convince themselves they are stars. Good for them.
But this show, I do not understand. And entire family plus a couple of hangers-on willing to act like total fools to make a buck? Bratty kids, nasty old ladies and a dysfunctional couple but two ingrate employees all trying to see who can look like the biggest asshat on TV. Why? Kandi does not need the money. Are they all really that desperate to be noticed? This I do not get.
Kandi drags Carmon to Mama Joyce’s room for the final bout. Carmon says MJ is lying about Carmon and Todd hooking up. I do not need to hear Mama Joyce talking Todd putting his thing in Carmon’s hole. MJ says that Carmon wants Kandi’s old hair. This is too ridiculous to recap. They both agree to take lie detector tests. Kandi comes in and breaks things up. Carmon eventually leaves Kandi to deal with Mama Joyce. Mama Joyce still maintains that Todd and Carmon have hooked up. Todd swears to MJ on his mother’s grave that he has never had sex with Carmon. This is ridiculous.
Todd has a normal conversation with his brother. His brother is getting the hell out of dodge. I kinda like Todd’s beard.
Matthew walks in to talk to Mama Joyce with one of those ridiculous acne masks that Brandi Glanville wears on the plane. It’s like a hard white Jason mask with a pink slit for your eyes. The aunts seem to be on Carmon’s side. Matthew seems to be the only person that mama Joyce likes. They both agree that Carmon and Don Juan are slackers who don’t deserve their jobs. Mama Joyce says she is hurt that Kandi and Todd don’t invite her to all her events.
Carmon talks to Nora and Bertha about Mama Joyce. The aunts say that MJ wants to spend all of her time with Kandi. So rather than take it out on Kandi she goes after Carmon. Nora cries because Mama Joyce is so unhappy. And Bertha says they all just need mental health. Mama Joyce apparently had a surgery for a brain aneurysm and the sisters are worried about her health.
The aunts ask Todd to take them to a weed store. They just want to see what it is like there. They claim they are not going to buy any. Aunt Nora doesn’t even make it in the door before running out because of the smell. The aunts hated the whole experience. Todd buys a few things to take back to the cabin.
Meanwhile, Kandi, the two girls and Mama Joyce go snowshoeing. They walk all of three feet. They decide to have a snowball fight instead.
Matthew tries to have a conversation about Matthew and Carmon for not doing their job. Don is an asshole.
Kandi and Todd spend some time together talking. Todd is trying to grieve his mother. He is more open to the old lady gang than before his mother died. On the last night they all hang out. No one wants to try the pot stuff (on TV). For some reason the conversation becomes about Todd’s feet. Jesus.
Kaela and Riley led a “Let It Burn” game. Riley forgives Kandi. MJ wants to burn the conversation she had with Todd. Todd said something about forgiving MJ. Carmon also seems to be forgiving MJ. Basically, everyone is trying to put their differences with Mama Joyce in the past. MJ agrees to let things go with Carmon. Everyone is crying. MJ promises to be a great grandmother to BOTH her grand daughters. Kandi promises to do better to reach out to her family.
I would like to burn a paper that would cause me never to remember watching this show.
