There are two ways to look at this. You could take Ferris’ advice…
Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around every once in a while you could miss it. ~ Ferris Bueller

You could rock back and forth and consider suicide by defenestration because, we’re old.
30 years….heavens we are ancient!!!!
30 years?? It’s still one of the best movies. Ever. Hubby just watched it with the teens last week.
Defenestration! What a great word! I had to look it up & dictionary.com said it was invented in 1618 for 1 incident in Prague where a couple of Catholic bishops were thrown out of a castle window by some Protestants. How specific! Now I am thinking of who I want to defenestrate so I can work it into conversations.
Ha! Good one, Late! As a teenager of the 80’s, I remember seeing this when it originally came out. A little trivia for you (hope I’m allowed), “I want my two dollars”! Anyone know what that’s from?
Paper Moon?
I love that movie too! Better Off Dead with John Cusack.
Paper Moon.
Better Off Dead. Love that movie!
Yep, ‘Better Off Dead’, and I still love me some John Cusack! Especially in ‘Serendipity’. One of the best movies, ever.
Yeah I had to google defenestration too. Now I feel old & stupid.
I’ve seen this CLASSIC movie a hundred times & was stoned every time. I guess that explains my stupid.
“Danke Schoen” is quite the earwig.
*earworm* HA!
I will take both approaches, thank you. Yes, thank you as I dust my eyeglasses and say “Eeh?” to everyone.
We may be old but we are hot. At least that is my story and I am standing strong. Oh,and thanks once again for expanding my vocabulary. Snark, purple pen and new words, acronyms always guaranteed at Tamara Tattles dot com!
*builds pillow fort and quietly sobs*
I knew it had to do something with the fenêtres but couldn’t take it to the next step, jumpin’ out ’em!
This is one of the movies that stands out in my young adult years. I remember watching this for the first time and sitting through the credits for his antics and thinking why has no one ever done this before during credits. Perhaps someone else did, I don’t know, but mad props to them for being the first I had seen.
