Someone doing some PR for this show drove me batshit for a week or so. I kindly agreed to promote it and hoped that I could get some good pictures that would help me preprepare. I asked for no compensation. Then suddenly I felt like I had a boss. I am the boss. I might have sent someone a stern letter. I really don’t do well with some of these collaborations. 🙂 Bless her heart.
Anyway, I love these shows. And I have some strong feelings about the “stars.” Let’s get too it. The first paragraph of each couple is From the PR for the show.
Kendra Wilkinson & Hank Baskett
Life was perfect for Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett until a tabloid scandal tainted their happy household. They had a beautiful child with one more on the way, when Hank made a decision that will haunt him for the rest of his life. Now, Hank is trying everything in his power to get their lives back on track. Marital troubles can be hard on any couple but add the constant pressure of the tabloids and social media and that’s a recipe for disaster. Will Kendra be able to forgive Hank and move on with the rest of their lives?
I loved The Girls Next Door with Hugh Hefner’s three girlfriends. But at that time Kendra was not my favorite. She was very young and that was part of it. I have watched all of her shows afterward and come to have a soft spot for her and Hank. That said, they have dragged the transgender affait thing, all over their own show. There is no need to keep televising this shit. They are doomed to fail. They are the only married couple on the show. I have a feeling this was taped BEFORE their show. But it is kind of hard to say.
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino & Lauren Pesce
Long before reality TV came into the picture, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Lauren Pesce were college sweethearts. The couple took a hiatus from their relationship and went their separate ways. Mike found fame in the blockbuster reality TV series Jersey Shore and the acquaintance of many, many women. Unfortunately, the dark side of stardom got the better of him as addiction reared its ugly head in the process. After getting clean and sober Mike and Lauren rekindled their relationship, however Lauren is struggling with the possibility he could relapse. Can a bad boy really change or will old ways and bad habits leave her to pick up the pieces?
Aubrey O’Day & Travis Garland
Rock stars work hard, play hard and for this rock couple, they FIGHT HARD. Aubrey O’Day and Travis Garland have suffered through every relationship issue from miscommunication to mistrust including allegations of infidelity. Working in the music industry has proven detrimental to the couple and breeds competition and jealousy between them. Their relationship has gotten so toxic she has moved out of the home they once shared. Aubrey believes that they are meant to be together, but they have NO idea how to be together. Boot camp is the last resort for this couple.
I cannot stand Aubrey O’Day. I really HATED her on Celebrity Apprentice and could not wait for her to be voted off. I don’t feel like I really hate on people that much here, but I did on Aubrey. Don’t believe me? Click here. She is dreadful. I tolerated her on Dance Moms. We shall see what happens here. And she is a bitch from jump. Asking Mike if this is the first show he has done sober.
Tami Roman and Reggie Youngblood
The basis of all good relationships is time together, but this on again off again couple has spent almost as much time apart as they have together. While apart, Tami Roman and Reggie Youngblood both dated other people, but always gravitated back to each other. With a 17-year age difference, they are at different chapters in their lives. Tami has been married, divorced, and has raised two beautiful girls while Reggie is dreaming of the day when he can see her as his bride walk down the aisle and have a child with her. Can these two manage to get and stay on the same page or will that ultimately be their demise?
I HATED Tami on the Real World and that opinion has never changed. Can’t stand her ever since she tried to say one of the guys in the house was trying to rape her and got him kicked out. Tami is being ghetto before she even gets in the house. Aubrey is already eyeballing Reggie who is very hot.
Jeff Schroeder & Jordan Lloyd
America watched Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd fall in love on TV and viewers couldn’t help but fall in love with them as well. They are the perfect couple… on the outside, but what’s really going on behind closed doors? Since the beginning, communication has always been an issue. They’ve also struggled through a long distance relationship until she picked up her life and moved across the country for him TWICE. Not only was Jordan taken outside of her comfort zone, but gave up her small town values for the big city lights. Are they living in bliss or in ignorance?
Love them. They have no business being on this show. They must be getting a great paycheck. They are both silly and not going to win any mental challenges. But they’re pretty! This show must have been filmed a LONG time ago because Jeff and Jordan are newly engaged.
The first exercise is for everyone to get married. First up is Aubrey and Travis. They ask if anyone has an objection. Aubrey’s best friend says that they need to learn to respect each other. Travis says that he is not ready to marry because Aubrey does not respect her. Aubrey says she is not because Travis is jealous. Travis says it is not attractive when a woman tells you she is going to go fuck someone else. Screeeeeeech! WTF?
Next is Lauren and Mike. There objector is a “concerned fan” who says that Mike is newly sober and in a lot of legal trouble and could wind up in jail. Mike still has that Cirque Lodge face. I don’t know what it is with that particular rehab but they all come out with head that are three times larger than what they went in with. Translation, not a single person cares about these two enough to come on this dumb show and tell them they are making a mistake. Doesn’t Lauren have parents or siblings or friend? This random young lady is trying to tell Lauren to flee. Lauren says she is terrified that Mike will relapse. She fake cries. Her little brother died when he was 25 from some addiction related event. You know was is great to do early in recovery? Reality TV!
Jeff and Jordan take the stage. These two should have married years ago. Their problem is they are long distance. Jordan mangles the English language in her talking head. She is hysterical. Sometimes, dumb really can be cute. Jordan is one of those times.
Next we have Tami and Reggie. Before they even ask them if they are ready to be married Tami says no. She has no interest in getting married. She is probably getting alimony for somebody. I don’t pay her life any attention. Reggie wants a baby. Did Tami hire this man to play her boyfriend? Because, allegedly this has been done before on some shows.
And for the grand finale, it’s Kendra and Hank. In Kendra’s talking head she says their issues are not really things people need to know. I agree so why the fuck are you on this show? They dance all around the topic and Elizabeth calls them out on it. Then Kendra’s mother pops out to object. Patti is a terrible mother. She sells all of Kendra’s personal business to the tabloids for money. Kendra screams at her mother that the devil has eaten her soul.
After the break, Elizabeth counsels Patti. Wait that looks like the :40 clip.
After the break, for real Kendra says that her mother sells her tears to the tabloids. In their talking head, Hank is nonsensical. Is he on something? Drunk? Patti threatens expose all of their texts. Kendra screams at the “wedding guests” saying, ” Do you want to hear what this mother has to say about her daughter?!!? RISE UP! RISE UP!” WTF is that even about? I have no idea. Kendra is a bit unhinged.
Kendra, Hank and Patti are all sent off with different therapists. Hank’s therapist says that Kendra will have a time trusting him because she can’t even trust her mom. Hank goes out comfort Kendra. The other couples say that Kendra was clearly motioning to Hank not to open up to the therapists. Aubrey says she is going to get to the bottom of it. Jeff is wearing more makeup than Kendra who is wearing none. Aubrey asks Hank what their issues are. Kendra is very defensive with Aubrey.
Everyone is called in to a house meeting for room assignments. The keys to the rooms are presented. There is a label on each room, Almost Perfect (Jeff & Jordan no one disputes that) , Settling for Less (Mike and Lauren) , Clinging to Hope (Travis & Aubrey), Disillusioned (Tami and Reggie), and lastly, Beyond Repair ( Kendra & Hank). The group has to work together to settle on the choices. Their determinations are in parentheses. For the most part there was no arguing. Travis and Aubrey just assigned everyone a key and everyone went with it for the sake of getting to their rooms. But I think the keys went where they should have. The rooms are all nice. But Almost Perfect is the nicest and Beyond Repair is the worst. This is designed to start shit. Aubrey and Tavis feel like they manipulated the situation to stay in a middle room and not the worst one.
Next Week: Apparently, Aubrey’s other lover is a female?
