Eileen Davidson’s Husband Vince Van Patten Spills the Tea on RHOBH

I was surprised that Eileen would worry about what people thought about her on the show. Maybe she meant her colleagues and contemporaries more than us peasants. Because everyone with an ounce of sense loves her.

Apropos of nothing, while sick in bed Tuesday, I watched an episode of Wonder Woman which guest starred Vince Van Patten.

He was. He’s a little rough looking now. I had such a crush on him in the 70’s, 80’s. He has a couple of brothers too- they were known as, “The Van Patten Brothers”. Their father is Dick Van Patten from, “Eight is Enough”. (Sorry if that’s a big duh)

Vince said Brandi had crazy issues. Haha, ya think?! Eileen is too good for this show, but I hope she is coming back. She adds reason to the insanity of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. On the other hand, I hope to GAWD that Kim doesn’t come back.

Oooh Gingersnap! Keep hoping girl! For some freaking reason I think Kim’s got her feet firmly planted into the puddle of quicksand that is this show. May the good Lord have mercy on us all.

I want to be like Eileen when I grow up. She’s so classy. Her husband is totally adorable and he makes sense when he talks. “Bravo knows how to pick people who’re a little bit out there.” Ya think, Vince? Ha ha!

Now I love Vince even more….they are such a great couple! I’m glad she’s coming back for S2 and I can imagine the anxiety of putting yourself out there, especially when dealing with the twilight zone crazies Brandi and Kim.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS DUDE. His voice, his shaggy hair, his attitude. I just love seeing a man who is just a damn regular guy.
He has that kind of scruffy Jeff Bridges, Kurt Russell, Dennis Quaid all-American- dudeism- at- it’s- finest going on.
    Yeah, dudeism is a word.

I had such a crush on him growing up! I remember watching Eight is Enough and thinking what a great FIL his dad would make. I was thinking about that as I heard this interview and think my dried up old ovaries threw an egg.

That’s hilarious! You know when I recognized him? Watching him walk. Then it all came back to me. He had quite a resume as a child.

I love him too, for the same reasons you posted. I also LOVED when he was peaking out the garage window when the fight was going on outside. It was so funny.

Had to jump in here because I actually went to high school with Vince and he hasn’t changed much. I had the biggest crush on him and YES he was so adorable. Even the length of his hair hasn’t changed much – just way more blonde back then. It was when he was on Apple’s Way (way back then). They even filmed at our school one time. He played tennis of course so I would always watch him on the court – pretending to be doing something else. I worked in the student store and he would come by, so I got to know him a little – very friendly and nice. After he would leave, my friend and I would fall on the floor trying to recover. First time he waved at me and smiled, I think I tripped and tried to cover it up. This is when he was “secretly” dating Farrah Fawcett (allegedly) so she would show up at the school sometimes to pick him up.
Now just to add to this fun – also Dr. Terry Dubrow went to the same school at the same time. I kept a diary all during high school, was looking through it last year for something else and actually found one day where I wrote “Terry Dubrow is such an ass!” but I didn’t write why so I’ll never know. Shouldn’t surprise anybody he hasn’t changed much — but still kinda like his humor!

Thanks so much for sharing-great story. I loved him in “Apple’s Way” and “Three for the Road” with a very young Leif Garrett. I also seem to remember him in, “Battle of the Network Stars”.

I LIVED for Vince’s LIVING the moment he popped his head up in the garage window to keep witnessing the continuation of the Brandi/Kim/Kyle poker drama. You can tell he LIVES for messiness & I love it!

Vince and Eileen seem like exceptional and normal people lol! He is right! She put Brandi in her place in a classy way! If Kim is really serious she would do the work and make amends with everyone on that show sans cameras!

That’s a husband I don’t mind hearing from! He sounds grounded, and I’m sure he likes Eileen’s hair, face, and clothes and doesn’t think shes a beast.I admire her, she kept it real. (And Brandi, he doesn’t like you, he’s just never seen a train wreck in person before – slut!).

Eileen has been appealing from her first appearance. She’s beautiful, smart, refined and she isn’t afraid to call bullshit when she sees it. No wonder that Kim and Brandi didn’t like her. She’s way too honest and forthright for addicts or wackos to be comfortable around. Her hubby seems cool, too. Eileen was bound to ruffle some feathers with the two, resident troublemakers on rhobh.
