Bobbi Kristina Non Update

April 20, 2015 by tamaratattles 45 Comments

nick and bobbi

I know we talked about this somewhere already, probably in a Daily Tea comment section, but I am still being asked in emails and tweets and off-topic comments about the current status of Bobbi Kristina after her father made a weird statement while performing a concert over the weekend.

On the stage, mid-concert, Bobby Brown said, “I can say today, Bobbi is awake. She’s watching me.” Um, no, no she is not watching you. She is not even in the same state as you.  She’s brain-dead in a hospital bed in Atlanta.  You are going to have to come to grips with that.

While most people were ignoring that for the gibberish it was, Tina Brown saw an opportunity to be in the news again and posted on her Facebook page that Krissi was awake and off life support. Oh Tina, have you no shame at all?The Houston side of the family is apparently sick of all the false information so they let someone leak to CNN the following.

CNN reports , Krissi remains in the same neurological state that she has been in for over 12 weeks.Although Bobbi Kristina Brown is not in a coma or sedated, she does not respond to visitors, she does not respond to familiar voices, and her eyes do not follow a person around the room and [she] has a tracheostomy in her throat.”

Everyone needs to accept the obvious situation here and let this poor girl go. This is past the state of being gruesome. There will be no “updates” until they decide to pull the plug.

You can read all my reports on Bobbi Kriss here.

UPDATED:

It just keeps getting worse. Bobby Brown’s rep and Cissy Houston have both give statement to TMZ. The statement by Bobby Brown’s rep leaves no doubt in my mind that he is going to keep Krissi  hooked up to machines until all of Whitney’s estate is paid to her, and then ultimately to him. Her own father!

Bobby Brown’s rep tells TMZ Bobbi Kristina’s condition has improved and doctors say she’ll have “a long life,” although the quality of life will not be known for years to come.

Cissy tells TMZ, “Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me.”

She squarely contradicts Bobby Brown, who claims Bobbi is off life support and somewhat responsive.

Cissy tells TMZ , “I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive.”

    Tamara-
Last week when you had written that she was still being “warehoused” in NJ or Atlanta or wherever she is….
    It really rang true.
My b/f/f in highschool had a sister who was a year older than us. She was in a motorcycle accident and was put on life support. They took her off the machines about a week later. She was seventeen years old.
There is really no alternative here. I understand grappling with this heart-wrenching decision. But really, it’s the humane thing to do. And it should have been done a long time ago.
Bobby Brown is so out of touch with reality. I can’t imagine what is going in his head. He is under such a thick layer of denial… He has to masking with drugs and alcohol. ALLEDGEDLY (my opinion only)… I don’t think anyone who was seeing things through a normal state would see it any other way.

I’m sad to say that I actually think he’s trying to find a way to make money off of this. What other reason can there be? I am religious and believe in God, just like he does, but I have faith that God will do what is best for Krissy and NOT her father.

That’s the problem. Bobby Brown won’t let God do what is best for his daughter. He is interfering with God’s work by having her stay on life support. Shame on him. What ever is his motive, that poor girl is kept here possibly going through all kinds of horror for him and his motives. No thought to what God wants and even less thought to what is best for her. It breaks my heart every single time I think about it.

Thank you for that info. So what would make them say she’s off life support? How can a vegetative state individual be off life support, which would mean their organs work on their own? That’s what threw me for a loop, and him saying she’s watching him now- huh? Is she off life support? Is he doing this to justify leaving her there to draw this out for eight years? This is gruesome and cruel. So sad for her and, if the Houstons aren’t on the same page, I feel terrible for them.

I don’t think she is off life support, the report said she still has a tracheotomy, if she was breathing on her own the tracheotomy would have been taken out and she would be allowed to breath on her own.

My brother died of an over dose almost eight years ago, the medical staff was very through in teaching us the difference between Persistant Vegative State and Brain Death. He was completely unresponsive to painful stimuli, (pin stick to the sole of foot) . His involuntary reflexes were unresponsive to stimuli, (dilation of pupils due to light shine in eyes.) When he was disconnected from respirator he was unable to breath on his own. We needed all the information to be able to come to a decision because we were seeing him sweat and his hands and legs would twitch. We were able to walk away knowing that he was no longer in his body and no amount of medical advances would bring him back. Even though at the time I so wanted for him to be in a PVS (selfishness) on my part because I could not let the little boy that I would rock and sing to as a baby go. It’s been eight years and I can say I miss him everyday, but I’m glad he is not laying in a bed somewhere unrecognizable and with bed sores on him. His wife and children were able to go on to rebuild their lives as well.
I don’t know what Bobbi Brown is thinking however I am certain he was surrounded by doctors that most likely have him the same information. He is just choosing to ignore it.

It scares me to think she is in pain. My dad went into a coma and was on life support in the ICU. Doctors told my mom to pull the plug. They said he had less than a 10% chance of awakening and if he did he would be in a persistent vegetative state (like Bobbi.). My mom, an OR Trauma surgeon, disagreed because of the brain activity she saw and kept him on life support for 2 months. He woke up. He is fine. (His health is that of someone 5-10 years older, but its been 25 years and he golfs most days and runs an orphanage with my mom overseas.) The sad thing is he says he was in so much pain and dreamed the entire time he was suffocating under hot burning lava. He said he was so happy to wake up, breathe, and stop the pain. After that he redid his will/trust with directives not to prolong life on support again.

I’m so glad for your dad’s recovery and his precious life. Fortunately, your mom was more able than most of us to make informed, intelligent decisions for his care based on education, skill, and experience. I hope Bobby Brown will receive and act on the best medical advice available…and soon. I can’t imagine anything more heartbreaking.

Thank you. At the time, I was 11 and heard what everyone was saying (my mom was crazy/selfish and he was already dead, etc.). His tissue/organs weren’t even working and in the first week, his weight went from 145lbs to over 300lbs. They had him tied down, and these air cuffs were around his limbs (like inflatable blood pressure cuffs) to pump his blood to his heart and keep circulation going. It was a terrible sight. My mother, sister and I hated each other (my dad was the glue) and HAD to rally and rely on one another. We couldn’t be closer now. Nothing like death to make you value and appreciate life.

Who knows what is going on here?! Let him deal with this in his own way, maybe this is his way of dealing with the whole situation so don’t try to second guess this man and how he is coping. He has a right to make a living and to make any statements he chooses to make since it is his child, it is how he sees it at the moment. Unless somebody is close to the family and getting information directly from them or from the medical personnel, it is all speculation and nobody’s business anyway other than caring as humans should do. Otherwise maybe she will recover or not, only God knows the answer to that I don’t think any humans can determine what is God’s will.

As a caring human I think the whole situation is incredibly sad. Bobby shouldn’t be making delusional statements to hype up a crowd at his concerts. IMO, it’s bad taste. If he wants Krissi to be watching and supporting him, then he needs to free her soul. I believe that a person in her condition soul is in a limbo state. As a person of faith I do believe somethings should be left in God’s hand and not in machines.

This just continues to be so so sad. CNN reports that she is not in a coma; therefore she is brain dead. She has no hope of waking. I think Bobbi is trying to assuage his guilt of being on tour and leaving here in a room hooked up to a breathing tube by saying she can see him singing. If she could see him singing then she has entered a different realm of reality.

Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

As a mother, I have a question. Money seems to be the problem here. It appears Bobby Brown is willing to keep Bobbi Kristina on life support for at least the next 8 years so she will inherit all the money from the estate. Then it will go to him. Cissy Houston and Whitney’s brothers stand to inherit the money if BK dies prior to reaching the age of 30. If Cissy Houston truly wants the best for her grandaughter, would she and the other Houstons consider negotiating with Bobby Brown regarding the money to get him to change his mind? For that matter, I would be willing to give it up completely to allow my love one to have peace. Unless she or the other family members are just as interested in the money as Bobby Brown is, I wonder if they have tried this avenue. If not are the Houstons just as interested in getting their hands on the money and are able to use public sentiment of allowing God to decide BK’s fate in their favor? I don’t know these people personally and Cissy may be totally honorable about her wishes for her granddaughter. Can the same be said for all of the other Houstons?

It never amazes me what people will do for money. BB must be on drugs. If he keeps her on machines for years & years, will people still be fooled into thinking this isn’t about money? If he pulls her off right after he gets the money, will people have forgotten why? I hope her spirit truly is gone, to be trapped inside a lifeless body is insanely cruel.

If he will leave her on for 8 years for money, he will feel no need to unplug her right away. He can just leave her there until her organs give up, assuming the last 8 years.

I haven’t posted on here since my first comments about this situation. I feel she is “gone” too and her Dad should let her go.

She has not yet been declared brain dead like Jahi McMath. Brain dead and brain damage are different. They’ve said she is breathing on her, but they will leave the trach, probably in the event they put her back on life support.

She has money to provide care for a long time. The brain damage is permanent and that’s sad. There is no quality of life in being a vegetable. If she needs to go back on life they should “DNR”. I wonder if she wasn’t an heiress how this would have been handled. I still think Nick (mommy! mommy!) and Max had a hand in Krissy’s demise.
