The final regular episode is finally here! That means, what 122 more episodes of reunions and lost footage? At the end of tonight’s episode you will see a teaser for the reunion and all the ladies are in white dresses. Nene of course has a meltdown at the mention of her mother and has to be practically carried off by the shrink. Clearly, the problem with all of these women is their mamas didn’t hug them enough and they had to get attention elsewhere.
Peter and Cynthia are packing up Bar One. It’s sad to see it closing up. They take down the giant canvas of Cynthia to move to the new location on Auburn Avenue.
Peter takes Cynthia to see another rental property near the new bar. It’s for Peter’s Brew, his Jamaican coffee line. It’s cute, small and not very expensive. Cynthia is a bit pissy because her rented it without consulting her. Cynthia says they don’t need to be dividing their energy away from Bar One.
Then Apollo calls Peter’s cell phone. Apollo is for some reason calling Apollo to talk about visitation with the boys. Um, Why? Oh yeah. Storyline. Apollo thinks that he may be reassigned closer to Atlanta. That won’t happen.
Peter asks Apollo if he is aware Phaedra filed for divorce. It’s my understanding that she has NOT filed for divorce.
We are treated to a scene with Phaera making cookies with the boys. The exterior shots, at the very least were filmed after production with everyone else was over. I can tell this because the gray trim on the house is up. The family is all decked out in red. Phaedra hasn’t taken the kids to the jail because she says that there are special rules for kids and infants. I’ve notice a trend lately where children are “infants” for a very long time. Phaedra is full of excuses for not taking the boys to Kentucky. It’s too far. It’s too complicated. The kids are too little. What if one of them has to pee? There is no place to change Dylan’s diaper. They may resent having to visit their father in prison.
Todd and Kandi are going to dinner at Mama Joyce’s for sort of a housewarming. Todd is having a drink. Kandi gives Todd a lecture to be nice. I wonder if she gave Mama Joyce one.
At dinner, replete with paper plates and paper cups, Mama Joyce publically thanks Kandi for the house. Kandi announces that she is going to go to L.A. for a few months to
keep an eye on be with Todd while he is out there working. Riley says, “and you just leave your kid? Awesome.” Kandi says Riley is coming too. Mama Joyce doesn not look happy. Mama Joyce apologizes to Todd. Then she tries to justify her behavior. Saying she was repeating what people told her. Todd says in his talking head, the apology did not seem genuine.
The clip at the :40 was of Porsha dropping by Phaedra’s house. Phaedra called her a THOT ten times if she said it once. Porsha once again called her ownself a THOT. Because, Porsha.
Seeing Nene on the Broadway stage getting teary-eyed is very touching. She almost seems genuinely moved.
On the night of Nene’s debut not a single Atlanta Housewife acknowledged her milestone except Phaedra who sent a text.
Nene gets some last minute notes from the director after the final rehearsal.
It’s time for Nene’s big debut. She looks fabulous in her gown and stage makeup. She say “a lot of ‘drenaline’ is going.” Nene’s performance goes very well. The guy who plays Prince Charming introduced her during curtain call to a very warm reception. Nene did a great job by all accounts. Nene was very gracious with her fans afterward. She has even learned how to pronounce ‘Broadway’.” It kind of is a Cinderella story. How much longer until midnight?
Brandon and Kenya to to do some voice overs. Kenya is planning a big screening party for Life Twirls On with all the girls. Kenya says that Nene promised everyone tickets to her Broadway show but they all got lost in the mail. She is hoping this screening party will make up for that. #shade
Cynthia and Claudia arrive to the screening location of Life Twirls On and are greeted with folks throwing rice at them. Um, why? It’s only the bride and groom who get rice thrown on them. Anyway, it’s all very fancy. Um, in a Phaedra Parks sort of way. There is woman standing next to a harp singing “Life twirls on” on repeat. A wedding cake and a couple ladies twirling ribbons around like middle-school flag girls. Claudia and Cynthia are just looking for the bar. All the ladies (except Nene who is in NYC) EVEN DEMETRIA which is odd. I still haven’t quite figured out when and why Demetria got demoted. Anyway, everyone has a personal drink named for them and Claudia’s is “Hammer time!” and she is not happy about the toe shade. They are saying that this was filmed on Nene’s opening night. I am pretty sure this was filmed well before the debut.
Kenya finally shows up in her wedding gown on the balcony. It goes without saying that while everyone is dressed in Hollywood Glam except Porsha who is dress in her usual Princess of THOTland attire. The screening looks like a lot of fun. The show looked really funny. Cynthia’s part was hysterical.
Nene: Nene’s Cinderella carriage will not be turning into a pumpkin at the stroke of midnight. She and Prince Gregg are riding off to their new $2.1 million dollar palace in Atlanta and she is auditioning for several pilots. Life Twirls on Isn’t one of them.
They just have to put a price tag on things, don’t they?
Claudia is considering a tour of open mic nights to hone her comedy chops. No word on whether she is planning to go under the knife to lose the Hammertime label for good.
Cynthia and Peter are still renovating the new Bar One. In the meantime you can stop by Peter’s Brew very soon for coffee…and all the latest tea.
Kandi and Todd just celebrated their one-year anniversary. Instead of continuing therapy, they’re beginning fertility treatments to grow their Burruss – Tucker clan. Plans to relocate to L.A. were put on hold.
Or never really going to happen anyway.
Kenya’s life twirled on to Millionaire Matchmaker, where she’s found her new love. She’s currently shopping her pilot with the hope of turning it into at TV series. Hair commercial not included.
Phaedra is adjusting to life as a single working mom. This southern bellies keeping secrets about her divorce…or any plans to visit Apollo in prison.
Spoiler alert: She hasn’t filed and they have been to Kentucky.
Next week: The reunion begins. And that group hug at the end is proof positive this is all bullshit.
