The Blacklist

The Blacklist Tom bitch

Just finished this week’s episode. Was that the season finale? Is someone coming to take the fulcrum? Who is the good guy? Tom Keene? Reddington? IS THERE A GOOD GUY?  What does Red want with the assassin lady with all of the disguises. Why did he send Mr. Kaplan, I thought she was simply for body disposal and bloody cleanups?

This is why I don’t recap The Blacklist anymore.  It’s getting too hard to follow for me at times but it’s so good! I can’t tear my eyes away to recap!

So anyone have some thoughts on this (or previous) episodes?

I think this is the season ending. What I like is that the characters are multi faceted. This show makes my Thursday night.

I agree. Trying to follow the plot can drive one crazy. I want Tom Keene to fall on his sword out of love for his ex wife. I’m betting it’s only to protect himself from Red. Red won’t harm him if Liz loves him. Since he needs something to do while wooing Liz, he can be Red’s errand boy while he is recuperating. I hope Red gets to recuperate on a tropical island with his lovely maidens that he has so often recounted.
It looked like Dembe took the case with the “alleged” Fulcrum. Knowing its importance, I wouldn’t put it past Liz to have altered it in some way. Since it has been announced that Dembe’s portrayer has been promoted to a series regular, I wonder if he’ll use it as leverage to get a seat at the table.
The FBI investigation part of the storylines has gotten boring for me. I like it better when Red is out there on his own spinning his tales, and of course, loving the return of Tom Keene.

Dembe has always seemed like a regular to me. Glad we will be seeing more of him.

What I would like to know? If the Syndicate is now convinced that Red does not have the Fulcrum, who do they think has it??? If the Fulcrum is some sort of list, why on earth is it called the FULCRUM?????

I thought Luther Braxton was hired by the Director to restore and access Liz’s memory about the night of the fire. Red killed Luther and left him at the Director’s house as a warning. Shortly after, Liz found the Fulcrum in her stuffed rabbit, I don’t know why they stopped using Liz to find it. Was it Red’s warning or did the writers decide to go in a different direction?

    Hi TT.
Can I call you TT like the regulars do? Because i am a lurker who finally decided to post something. I just wanted to let you know that, I am so happy you are still watching it, & mini recaping it, lol. Because I love your recaps; it is great how this show gets us all over the place & yet we keep watching it!
Red will go underground & the Director will not stop worrying because no one will know if he is dead or not. Oh, his retaliation will be GOOD. Can’t wait! I see a Tom Keen sacrifice coming soon. The fulcrum must be a an old school key to a database of some sort.
The last episode was so good, i don’t know how to survive until the next is released!

You know…it (FULCRUM) kind of looked like a thumb drive when it fell….

Did they even make thumb drives way back when this thing was created?

I’m so obsessed with this show! Season 3 has to start already.
Ok so my thoughts…Firstly, I think Red tells the truth or gives insight into himself more than we realise. For example, nobody knows what happened to Red on that fateful Christmas day. Everyone except the Diane Fowlers, Alan Fitches etc think he abandoned his family that day, but I think what he tells Madeline Pratt whilst they were in those cells is the actual truth – something tragic happened to his family, he has no idea what, he has a daughter somewhere out there and something, we don’t know what yet, happened that resulted in his ex wife and daughter having to go into protective custody. Red had a career in the U.S. navy counter -intelligence, was awesome at his job,but that’s probably also where he discovered the Fulcrum and when his entire life was turned upside down.

We haven’t heard the last of Gina Zanitakos, he’ll probably use Vanessa Cruz to kill the Director, the Effigy of Astarte will probably also make it’s way back into the storyline. Red will probably use it to leverage his and Liz’s safety in their war with the Cabal – the Syrians will help them fight the Cabal in exchange for their effigy.
